First of all the truck I got had 89k miles but was clearly on its last leg. It would barely go over 75 and struggled to shift through gears. Upon returning, I Waited 40 mins in line to return the truck. Then the lady said â€œyou didn't have to stand here, you could drop off and goâ€. I said I'd like a receipt. She says we email you one later. I said no I'd like one now. So she signed really loud and said ok I'll check your truck in now I guess. Went out and inspected the truck and came back and said â€œnow you're getting charged a cleaning feeâ€. Total retaliation for making her check the truck in now versus later. Hope the $25 fee is worth losing a customer. Terrible customer service. Expected a little nice people after spending $500 when everyone in line in front of me was spending 50-100 dollars.TARA B.
For the first part I personally called this place a week in advance to schedule a truck to rent and I was told it wouldn't be a problem. So on the day of my rental pick up the truck I put to reserve was not available and the employee could only offer a bigger truck and wouldn't even offer a discount since of course the bigger truck cost more money. Plus every employee there was rude and expressing there opinions about customers verbally in front of me and other customers. I for one will no longer be renting from this location ever again. They are not professional and truly do not care about customers at all. Poor service, poor, truck maintenance, and poor customer service.ANTHONY M.

Slow service, but friendly. It turns out the rear door latch was rusted out on the truck. Bumps on the road would cause the door to raise up on its own. Very dangerous.Philip W.

Upon renting the equipment I met the new manager she was a very nice person. The young man who Fairfield my reservation was also very kind. It was only upon returning the equipment back, The experience change from pleasant to not so pleasant. The young lady who checked me out it's not very kind, very bad customer service personality. To be honest I'm not sure if I would like to use the service again . But I do thank you for the kind people that has been hired, one bad experience can ruin the whole experience! Cashier attendant was very rude. Did not say thank you and would not give standard answered words, she would nod her head or say â€œyupâ€ â€œyeaâ€. Sometimes I could not hear what she would say. When she went over uhual policy she sounded rude. Overall uhual truck was fine. Wouldn't go back to that location for a uhual with that type of customer service.maura G.

The side mirror of the truck was broken. It is very dangerous to be having a truck like that. I would recommend to inspect all trucks to insure they are safe to operate.Juan P.
Lady in front desk was very rude very bias when it came to serving men she was very friendly and towards females very rude uhaul truck in both times i rented back to back where filled with candy wrappers empty water bottles but she made sure to address if i left any trash crumbs anything i be charged a maintenance fee while she was serving customers she had both headphones in both ears and was unable to understand me until she removed one i felt belittled by her attitude and her poor customer service i left unsatisfied with the companies service.MARGARITA V.

I've been renting from this location once a month for the past 3 years. The staff recently changed and are not as customer focused as Ray and his team. They are a bit abrasive I would recommend someone reming them that Lowes and Home Depot are less than a mile away and offer rental trucks as well. We had difficulty pulling out of the parking lot due to the surrounding U-Hauls being too close to each other. We were also not the only one's having that problem. Other than that, it was a good service.Ramon M.

I did not appreciate the push to cut a 24 hour rental down to less than 24 hours. I did not appreciate being charged for an additional 24 hours when the facility was closed when I returned the equipment however it was available for that facility to rent it out the next business day. This is bad business, a late fee I understand.John B.

The Uhaul rep. at this location seemed to be involved with many other things as he was getting my paperwork together, many interruptions. He made it seem like it was all Uhauls fault that I waan't notified properly on the earlier time to pick up the truck "that's Uhaul" he said. The truck was here last night he said. Then why didn't he notiify me? He is the local rep. I am upset about this. It really interfered with our moving plansThomas J.
I had made an appt. for a hitch to be put on my car. I had thought I made it at another Uhaul. So, cicero was not my first choice. whatever, i had been told installation would take 1-1 1/2 hours. I returned 2 1/2 hours later, and it wasn't ready. I needed to wait another hour for the hitch, which I don't think the manager worked on until I got there. She said they had been busy, and she was handling the desk and installation. Do one or the other; but when a person has an appointment, installation should NOT be affected by what is happening with walk-ins.Debra L.

The gentleman at the desk (forgot his name; this was 5/23/21 at 10:23a at the Cicero location) was professional, courteous and knowledgeable. I believe he was the only one on staff at the front desk, he had a long with it being the weekend but he was quick and even made us laugh a little while checking out. When I return the truck and the car transport the associate take the keys and did not check the equipment stating that they will send an email. Few days later a woman call me from the same location that I did not return the auto transport and charge my credit card second time for something I already returned.
