Tried to use the online return for the second time last night. Ran through process 4 times only to be kicked back to the log in screen after taking a picture of the fuel and odometer. This also happened last year when we returned a vehicle after hours. Very frustrating

Truck did not shift into gear as I was leaving my move-in location. Myself and someone with me tried with multiple attempts and no luck. Took U-Haul 30 minutes to find someone to come help, then it took the guy about a 1 hour 15 minutes to arrive to my location. The guy fixing the truck was confused why it wouldn't shift into gear, took him about 30 minutes to figure it out and he had to remove a piece from underneath the break for it to work, even then it took a few attempts and a lot of man-power to get the truck to shift into gear. I arrived at the U-Haul 2 1/2 hours later than I anticipated. I was already going to be late to work so I did not refill the gas. Manager, Michael Parsons, charged me for my miles, an extra $75 for a gas fee, but took off the rental fee. I was border line in tears with frustration knowing that my job was already at jeopardy and the manager was not willing to budge the cost and would not even look at my reference number for the maintenance on the truck. He blamed me for not provided myself enough time even though I provided my self with 2 1/2 hours of extra time. Also, the manager claimed the truck worked fined but when I returned to the location he said something along the lines of "oh was it the brakes, sometimes you need to push harder, or not as hard". Funny how no one informed me on anything about the truck prior to giving me the keys. They said here are the keys and did not ask if I had questions or show me parts of the truck that might be helpful to know. It was my first and last time being a costumer of U-Haul. Avoid specifically this location at all cost unless you have an endless amount of time to waste incase the truck doesn't work.

Very busy location. Not enough help. Was told to drop the keys and go at drop off. Was charged a $25 Cleaning fee for someone to fold two moving blankets that were used. Very disappointed. Will go elsewhere next time.

Having checked in online, once I got to the desk, the process was smooth and easy. When I returned the cargo van after-hours, I was not successful with the online return. I received a verification code but no additional confirmation. Dropped the keys and left the van. Spent an extended period of time on hold on the phone confirming the van was returned prior to return time.

Michael, I think, was the one who took the keys when I dropped off the U-haul. There was an issue with the U-Haul, but he immediately addressed them and was willing to provide a discount without my even asking for it. He definitely understands customer service, and how to care for the customer even in light of unexpected circumstances. Would highly recommend this location -- the staff is friendly and willing to make your experience with U-Haul great.

So far every experience I have had at U-Haul has been either above average or excellent. But this time was THE WORST I've had yet. I had to wait over 45 minutes to be attended on a Sunday because there was only one person working at the location, which totally ruined my plans for that evening (getting my wife pissed at me in the process, thanks U-Haul). When I was finally attended, the U Haul associate was nice and courteous, however, he never apologized for the wait time and wasn't very helpful with my questions. For example: When I asked him about how to return the vehicle while the location was closed, he said to look up the website instructions rather than tell me himself (even though I expressed two times my preference to be told rather than have to look it up online) Let me be clear: I am not complaining about the U-Haul associate, his lack of helpfulness wasn't what ruined my experience. It was the ridiculous wait time due to a lack of staff. Hope that gets fixed soon.

There van itself was too small so I didn't get all I needed to get done. Also, the van itself was very unsafe. The rear doors - while they open all the way, do not lock in the open position making them susceptible to high winds. Several times my shoulder & back were hit due to the wind blowing the door closed while I was losing the van. It was hit so often to the point where I'm unable to continue my move today. And don't get me started on that crappy mat on the floor of the van. Twice I lost footing tripping over it. I'm never renting from this company every again & will dissuade others from doing so.

My appointment time was met, the installation and return of our vehicle was timely & satisfactorily. Unfortunately, I was unable to return and pick the vehicle up, so my wife had to. I wished that it was explained to her what was done & where the placement of the wiring was... I had to search for it myself when I finally got home from work. I also looked at the undercarriage to see how & where the hitch was placed, seemingly flawlessly done; even though one washer wasn't secure to the frame as the others, but the bolt was... I guess that's just my OCD when it comes to placement of things...LOL. I chose this location because I didn't necessarily trust other available locations near me, so I would definitely recommend the Glenside location.

The employees here are wonderful!! They went above and beyond for me !! From putting the boxes in the car to showing me the uhaul !! Never rushed me no matter how long the line was!! I had to call them they got the info for me and did everything to help me with what happened next!!! This location is amazing but other locations made it horrible that it was a one and done deal never ever again!!!

I found the new rental procedures to be highly user unfriendly. Having to take a picture of my license? I have an address change so the address on my license is meaningless. Also, having to rely on pictures of the truck to determine any current damage was difficult. The pictures were not particularly clear and there were shadows, so I’m not really sure if all damages were shown. Use of this procedure makes me less likely to use Uhaul in the future.

The man running the office and checking out rentals on a busy Sunday morning was wonderful. In spite of a long line, he was pleasantly attentive while being extremely efficient. The rental experience could have been unpleasant and tedious, but he made it easy. All in all, a great experience -- but largely because of the UHaul employee that morning.

Damon Ware was awesome to work with. I checked in before hand online and he had me ready to go in about 15 minutes. Dropoff was even easier, he was the only one working and despite juggling 4 different customers, had me out of there again in less than 5 minutes. Great guy, great service, thanks!

I requested a trailer in the Colmar/ Lansdale area of PA and had to go to Glenside which made returning the trailer inconvenient. The rental system appeared to indicate the Colmar location was where I could pick up and return but upon confirmation of availability it routed me to Glenside.

I just wanted to share my experience with you regarding my recent rental. Inside the UHaul app for added convenience. When I arrived at the U-Haul location I started the check in process using my app. After three attempts I was forced to inside to check in-the line was about 6-deep. So my 9:30 pickup turned into a 10:30 pickup. Unfortunately the return process was just as bad. I returned my rental at around 5:30–I again attempted to use the app but had no success. Each time I tried the error message stated that my credit card was not acceptable-the same card I used to reserve the truck. So a process that should have been a convenience turned into a major inconvenience. It could be that this was just a one time error but I hope this isn’t something that I can expect should I rent again. I made a mistake I put 25 usd of gasoline, the tank was full, I got rented with 3/8 tank. I asked the U-Haul personnel to reduce my bill. He refused not kindly. I feel that that was rude and I personally would not rent again with U-Haul because this issue. I suppose to get rented the truck full tank and return in full tank. Sorry but I feel like a scam. You rent a car and the car is 3/8 and you return full tank you get at least the credit for the extra gasoline the car has now. Sorry but I’m not happy with U-Haul and his personnel.

Michael was excellent. I was in and out of there in 6 minutes (with express checkin). He went over the safety considerations, discussed the limitations of the trailer, and wished me good luck with my project. I had the trailer back in 4 hours, and the experience was great. For $20.00, i was able to do my own material pickup and save myself a much higher delivery fee. I am very thankful for my local U-Haul dealer.

I dropped off my Volvo XC60 at 8 AM, and I received a call at 10:19 AM that the job was finished. I had considered installing a trailer hitch myself, but on a scale of 1 to 10, e-trailer rated the difficulty as a 10. Yikes! Also, e-trailer's price for the hitch was $100 more than U-Haul and U-Haul did a beautiful installation job. Volvo wanted more than a $1000 to install their hitch! Joe and Mike at U-Haul of Glenside ensured that the job went smoothly and was professional done. I will definitely be recommending U-Haul and this location to my friends.

If a tax exempt form is provided at time of return, as told by the reservation team, then why are the taxes still on my receipt. I am attempting to add in U-Haul Company as a vendor for our Accounting Dept., which requires me to get a W9 and I am being transferred from your customer service dept. to an unknown voicemail and your Corporate Sales can not help me and is sending me back to Customer Service. Too much being bounced around and not receiving assistance. Please advise
