Truck smelled of smoke/ cigarettes My truck was down sized from 26ft to 15ft without my knowledge. This was an inconvenience, as my move took 10hrs instead of 4hrs, due to multiple trips with smaller truck. Therefore I had to pay movers extra labor.

There was a lady by the name of Waverly T. That over heard me speaking with another co-worker, and new I was in a dilemma. As I was trying to figure out what my best option was going to be she stopped and asked me what was going on. I then told her and she helped me find a solution right away. I am so very thankful for her and her time. She is most definitely an asset to U-HAUL!

Before rating my experience, I would like to have some resolution to the wiring issues on my minivan. To date, I have been in twice and left my car on two Saturdays and no one can figure out how to fix the wiring that was done at the same location in May of 2021. I have also not heard from the manager as I was told I would. I am still looking for help.

This is my Google review for this location: The employees here were nice but I still could write a novella describing how bad my experience was. At the Seattle location, I was given a truck with a CUT gas line because homeless people have a large camp nearby. I am told that that truck was known to have a cut gas line but they gave it to me anyway. There was a British man there who was very nice and seemed to know what he was doing but the lady seemed to either be brand new or just not the sharpest tool in the shed because everything about what she did was questionable. She was still nice and all but I had a truck parked in front of my truck so I couldn't leave and apparently it was her friend who has repeatedly parked in that spot. Also, the rear left tire was just shy of being bald; round it out with the check transmission light coming on after I drove it only a few blocks. The truck was sluggishly shifting gears. After hours and hours of loading up the truck, my girlfriend and I started the long drive for the move and went to get gas. All the gas fell out on to the ground because nobody checked the gas line….even though they told me that homeless people were siphoning gas from the trucks and that is why they gave me the truck ON EMPTY! So, they knew they were getting gas lines cut and they checked it and gave it to me anyway. Absolutely absurd. I guess I should have called roadside assistance and then they would have patched the gas line for me but since I was in a panic, I repaired the gas line myself to the best of my abilities and got enough fuel in to make the journey. I'm pretty sure having gas leak all over the place and on my body is a huge safety hazard. Let me repeat myself: I was told by a Lakewood employee that they KNEW THE GAS LINE WAS CUT. There are even more elements to this story but I have spent enough time talking and writing about it. The regional manager in Lakewood, Alex Hansen (where I delivered the truck) was supposed to reach out to me but they never did and just sent a $50 refund even though I was told by multiple employees I should get a full refund. I spent money on the tape and a bunch of gas that fell on to the ground so the $50 covers my personal expenses and only a little more. I don't like asking for refunds but in this case, I have no guilt or shame. If I were a Uhaul manager, I would be embarrassed and a refund would be the least I could do.

I was charged 150 for a missing dolly that was returned with the truck. My wife and I saw the U-Haul employee tan it out of the truck and wheel it into the lobby. I'm not sure how it goes missing.

When we got home open trailer do you smell in the trailer reeked of marijuana we called the location they never showed us the inside they just said OK it's ready to go and when we called and told them about the marijuana smell they go yeah we understand that we probably know who last rented it and that's all they did about it they didn't do anything about removing the smell I would never use this place ever again

First thing.... I booked a truck at a particular location because it was closest to my storage unit. Uhaul changed my pickup location to this location without my permission. This caused me additional time to get to my storage unit. Second, my pickup time was moved from 11AM to 1230 PM which cut into my loading time again. Third, I had ordered 24 moving blankets. NONE were available when I picked up the truck. The staff was not helpful in trying to remedy this problem. Other than "I can call another location" - that should have been done before I ever arrived and the blankets moved to the location.

The trailer that I rent was not safe since it was moving and shaking while driving , Injad to come back and asked to swap the trailer Because it didn't feel safe, they replace it and it was all Good after that, I will recommend to get this trailer out of circulation or to change the connector that might be damage.but overall had a good experience with the staff.

Most horrible rental experience ever!!! I rented a van and check it out @ 4pm, 8/23 (order #17890552) for 29.95 plus mileage for 24 hrs. Got a text a few mins later after I drove off the parking lot that I need to return the van by 7pm on the same day. I immediately called the rental office and stated that the contract is for 24 hrs and I was assured that he will change the return time in the system. Got an auto text again after, with return time of no later than 3:30pm, 8/24. I returned the van @1pm on 8/24 and left the rental office. After I reviewed the charges on my CC, I discovered that I was charged for 2-day rental! I called back the office and spoke with Ron Taylor, and stated that there's nothing he could do about that charge, plain and simple because of the amendment made on the return date/time. I had the van for <24 hrs, drove it for exactly 15 miles and got charged for 2 days!!! U-haul deliberately engages in predatory practices to exact additional charges to customers by indicating an earlier return time/date, despite of 24 hour contract and when amended, automatically charges customers for 2 days' worth of rental. I was overcharged and I want my money back!!! If not refunded, I will report this to Better Business Bureau and vigorously dispute the charges with the credit card company. Customers Beware!!! This is perhaps a nationwide problem that many renters are unaware of and worth pursuing it in local and national discussion (i.e. will heavily consider contacting our local TV anchor that specializes in this type of predatory practices by big businesses)

Dylan and his coworker were awesome. They came in clutch in a tough situation. My boy's car was totalled and we had to haul it. You had the exact equipment. Coverage was affordable. Staff friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.

The manager there was very unprofessional and I overheard him telling the worker to "Tell him (me) that it's (the tow dolly) is down and send him without one" because they didn't want to go and get another light cable to replace it. The Uhaul Location in Tacoma, WA were unprofessional as well. The young employees were outside the store smoking weed and had no work ethic. I don't feel people (esp soldiers) should have to deal with customer service like this.

Dillon the manager was friendly, professional, and thorough. I was driving the truck out of the lot in no time. When I returned, he was able to diagnose some minor body damage and assess responsibility. I was impressed with his willingness to clarify my responsibility and get me back on the road quickly. The lakewood bridgeport Uhaul is my go to location. They are always fast and ready to help figure out your move. They have always been very quick to help in my emergency situations. Trucks are always clean and in top shape. I appreciate their business.

The “Excellent” rating for the pick up location is based on the actual location I was able to pick up my rental trailer. I used the Uhaul.com site to place my rental on July 10th for a July 23rd pick up. The original location said they didn't have a trailer and said Uhaul was to call and let me know where I can pick up a trailer. I received a call and headed to another location. 3 minutes from arriving at this location, I received a call that they don't have the trailer as the one I was going to be picking up was actually in a crash and not available. 3-1/2 hours after I was originally scheduled to pick up a trailer, I arrived at the final pick up location. The two guys there were great and very helpful in getting me a trailer.
