The people working at this location were quite rude to us when we came to pick it up. All we asked is that they move the trucks blocking our truck in. And even though we scheduled our return time for 9pm they blocked off all the entrances to the lot so it made returning the uhaul almost impossible. We ended up having to park it on the street next to the lot.

I would say the van was generally clean, but it seemed like it needed some maintenance. There was a noise likely associated with the wheel that sounded like it could be a bigger issue very soon. Also, the engine would sort of lug a lot. Like it was straining hard for too long after driving from a full stop…even though we were on a flat street. Also, they didn’t have all the blankets available that I had ordered. They had 18, but I had ordered 24. Turned out ok though. Otherwise things went pretty smoothly. The movers I had hired from U-Haul were there on time and did a good job moving everything. I was happy to have someone else to do the heavy lifting and appreciate being able to hire them directly through the U-Haul site.
TRACY Cyou have to let customer total potential cost. cost per mile never mentioned in call from rep. service was good. not necessarily very friendly. why do allow 3rd parties to be selling their services (including their pick ups) on site? i believe i have 2 accounts as rep did not check that i had an account and misspelled my address.

CATALIN BI rented a van. When I got there they refused to rent it to me because my liscence was from out of state. I told them that there was nothing on the website that indicated this was an issue, that I had taken the day off work. They still refused. I offered to give them the keys to my car and my car for the time I was away. They refused. They were very dismissive and huge assholes about the whole thing.

ALEXIS MI'm a repeat customer at that location. Everyone there is always 5-star. I typically do a 7am pickup...am usually out in 5~10 minutes. You should consider installing a gate, and code to open, so that renters can return 24/7 without worrying about vandalism or theft.

CLEVELAND RThe staff was helpful but the equipment was faulty due to the trailer lights not working, after two hours of working on it, trailer should have been free, including the magnetic lights we had to purchase. Overall, just a not great experience.

BRIAN LOnline website allowed for a 6 hour rental period which was scheduled from 2pm to 8pm. Upon picking up truck, representative says to return vehicle in 5 hours, not 6, as that uhaul location closes at 7pm and that it must be returned at that location despite online stating it can be dropped off at any location and that I would be charged an extra day if i didn’t make the 7pm deadline. So essentially I would be charged 5 hrs when I payed for 6 hours and was somehow supposed to know that the website held wrong information regarding both the hours, drop off times and drop off location. Perhaps IT should update the website to reflect the correct information
PHILLIP MI was misinformed by a new employee about a trailer I rented. When I returned the trailer the following day the employee that helped apologized is this employee was new and provided me with a partial reimbursement which I appreciated. Please train your new employees and motivate them to try harder.

ALBERT TThis was my first time renting anything from U-Haul, and a couple of things happened that made me feel taken advantage of. First of all, the mileage listed on my contract was slightly lower than the actual mileage on the vehicle. When I got into the van and saw this, I made the assumption that because it was a small percentage point (.4), that you didn’t count that small of a mileage, so I didn’t say anything. However, when I was charged for mileage, I saw that I was in fact charged for every percentage point. The difference here is obviously only about $.40, but I still felt that it was dishonest. The second thing that happened had to do with replenishing the gas used during the rental. The representative at Uhaul explained that I wouldn't necessarily get a vehicle with a full tank, and that I was only required to return the van with the amount I started with. This of course makes sense, but my tank started on full, and I had no idea that the gas tank of the van would be able to take more gas than just the amount that would return it to full. In other words, when you fill up a car's gas tank, the fuel dispenser will shut off automatically when the tank is full, but this did not happen with the van, so I ended up returning the van with twice the amount of fuel I needed to. And yes, I am aware that there was a chart on the contract showing gallons required to fill up, but I figured that that was for when you received a tank that wasn't 100% full (my mistake, but I can't imagine I am the only person who figures that the fuel dispenser will stop at full just like it does in other cars). This all just feels very shady to me. I was planning on renting a van from Uhaul once a month, but I no longer plan to.

The customer service was unwelcoming and unprofessional, including the staff swearing and talking poorly about another customer, in front of new customers. The website was glitchy so I was unable to submit the photos of the condition of the truck. I was unable to park in the lot and had to leave my car about 3 blocks away (even though this was a same-day trip). All of this combined with inefficient offerings ($1 per mile in addition to other fee's is exorbitant). Will not be returning.

EVANGALINA AI had a 7am pickup but I couldn't actually get the truck at that time because the store opened at 7am and there were other customers waiting for the store to open. The earliest pickup time should be about 30 minutes after the store opens so we can have an accurate morning pickup time.
DAVID SThis was my first time renting at U haul and I did notice a couple a things that made my experience not so great . The truck was given to me at almost empty less 1/4 of a tank. And the inside of the truck was dirty and grimy. We reserved the truck weeks in advance with a dolly and we did not receive a dolly that made our moving experience harder. I was told there was no availability on dolly's that day. But regarding the Staff they were all nice and friendly so that was good.

LINDA REverything was phenominal. Pickup was in and out in 5 minutes ! Return was before-hours with the self-return feature. Went well...only issue was that the lot entrances were all blocked to keep people from driving in. If you want to promote self-returns, should make it possible for people to drive IN to the lot to return their equipment.
