Truck smelled like cigarette smoke, which was disgusting. I reserved a van and was given a truck. When I inquired as to why the equipment wasn't available I was told I'd have to go to another location if I wanted a van...this was after I went through the whole check in process. I've had this experience before, overall I don't expect much.April H.

My only small complaint is that the guy at the drop off section hang out nearby but did not acknowledge me and I had to go inside where the gentleman behind the counter said that I should wait and that drop off area a little longerâ€¦ And the guy that was standing around out there ended up going to lunch and the person behind the counter had to come out and check me outâ€¦ Gentleman behind the counter was extremely helpful and friendly.Gary W.

The lock was left on our truck which we didn't realize until we were at our pickup location . My husband had to drive all the way back to get the lock removed. Additionally we didn't get the dolly that we originally asked for so I had to drive my car back to the location to pick-up. I would suggest for the online system that you instruct your sales people to make sure equipment is ready for pick-up including all additional supplies. Thanks. The Customer Service from each agent/employee once I've gotten to the counter has been excellent. They all acknowledge guests who are waiting and thank each one of us for waiting patiently. Unfortunately, the site does get busy and staff service can seem to run longer than anticipated in terms of getting either a trailer hooked up, or a rental vehicle checked in and out for customers, while trying to get customers who need propane tanks and refills. This would be the piece that is the disconnect in the streamline of having great customer service. Suggestion: Separate the lines for the counter service. Have 1 line for new rentals/propane customers, 1 line for reservations, & 1 line for returns. This can help filter the guests who are in line and service them more efficient. If you already have 1 agent completing the checking out of equipment after they've been processed, guests feel that they're taken cared for in the order they were helped. Versus, agents telling their team member, a specific rental is next, "do this one next", "then, this one", "then, that one". There should be a que for processing the checking out of equipment. Also, guests are not encouraged to use the tablet of products that they can choose from once they've entered the store. Guests just wait in line and aren't ready to make their purchases until they get to the agent counter. The more familiarized with the products, the less time guests have to wait. It takes so long for guests who have no clue for what they want or need until they get to the counter. This delays those of us who already have reservations who are waiting in the line in excess time; patiently, I might add. Although technology is utilized to check in equipment, the part where the U-Haul agent has to come out to inspect/hook up a trailer/check out a vehicle for a customer is the part that takes away from customers who are waiting in line. Ultimately, the site is short staffed for all the products and wide variety of services it offers. The site is doing the best it can with the labor force it has. I'd like to reiterate that the customer service is excellent. They just can't get to everyone all at once and service is long.MARY M.

Making the reservation on the phone was easy and the pick up was streamline & also easy with at the desk. Equipment clean & perfect for our purpose and the drop box return & phone confirmation was also convenient and efficient. However, 2 days later when I recieved my receipt in email, there were several inaccuracies and over charges on my card! So, I then had to spend over and hour on the phone on hold (no one EVER answered at the store!) and they were not available to handle the issue and I had to be transferred to UHAUL Customer Service to correct the inaccurate charges & get a refund! Definitely a huge inconvenience in my schedule for the day.Adrienne H.
I had to drive for almost 30 mi utes to pick up the rental truck. Too far Before you pick up your rental truck, use the online UHAUL App to enter your information. That way you will get out of the store much quicker.Tomas F.
I was scheduled for a manual pick up at 6:00 am. I confirmed with the location the day before the rep told me I was all set. I showed up at 6 o'clock in the morning as scheduled and I had to wait until the facility opened to receive the truck. I had movers waiting for me. I had $150 in overages for them waiting on me an hour and a half.ROB W.

You can answer your fucking phones for beginners. How am I supposed to make a reservation or get a question answered. No one ever answers the phones. Even when I'm standing in line the phones are ringing an the employees do not answer them! I should run this company because whoever makes the decisions now is not qualified!!!Vito R.
No one cares. I reserved a truck 2 and a half weeks prior to my move to another state. One way. The automated reservation confirmation said a truck was not guaranteed. What purpose is a reservation?????? I called to check 4 days before my move. The â€œcustomer serviceâ€ person told me they didn't know if they would have a truck available but to come in on my move day. What purpose is a reservation????? They also had the time set for pickup at the end of my move day, instead of in the morning as I requested on my reservation! Guess what ? Yep,, when I arrived on my move out of state day there was no truck! What purpose is a reservation???? (Uhaul has a different definition of that term apperently. ) I inquired, stupidly, about the 6 or more trucks parked in the lot, and was informed that â€œ those were IN TOWN trucks and that I could not rent one unless I was willing to return it after my move,,, OUT OF STATE! I have plenty more to say, and will continue my glowing comments about Uhaul on Yelp. Never rent from Uhaul EVER EVER again. (Also as I was standing in the facility, I overheard the other agent calling several other potential customers with â€œreservationsâ€ that they wouldn't have a truck for them either.)
