I am Extremely disappointed & disgusted with store manager Yvonne Crawford as I’ve never experienced anything like this situation to be so mischievous and premeditated. Rented a truck from 1600 Pacific Coast Hwy., Long Beach, CA 90806 on 03/21/17 @ 3: 24 pm. After signing the contract Manager, Yvonne Crawford, asked my brother-in-law and I to check the truck for any bumps/scratches around the truck. We both checked the truck and signaled some scratches and bumps on the body around the truck box. Ms. Crawford never offered us to open the truck box for it to check the inside. The funny thing is that when we were loading our furniture, I noticed the opening on the corner of the truck but didn’t think anything about it. Upon returning to the store, my brother-in-law pulled into the store to park the truck, Ms. Crawford came quickly out of the store and said: “You are going to pay for the damage on the truck.” Her second remark was “as soon as you pulled up, I noticed the damage on the top corner.” My question is? How did she know the truck was damaged if she had not yet inspected it? All I can say is that this is a very organized scam and an easy way for this lady to make extra money. We both were astounded and upheld our innocence as we told her that the damage was previously there. Ms. Crawford said, “I am who gave you the truck and I know since I inspect it.” We were both in a hurry as my brother-in-law is a Pastor so he needed to head to church. As we try to reason with Ms. Crawford that the damage was previously there she totally ignores us and continued accusing us that we had caused the damage. When I mentioned that I had purchase the insurance Ms. Crawford stated: “the insurance only covers the body of the truck not the top or the roof.” Ms. Crawford was perfectly aware of how she was going to get us to pay for the damage. Even though I paid for the insurance, Ms. Crawford still charged me for the damage. This situation is unfair as Ms. Crawford premeditated who her next innocent victim would be; unfortunately, in this case, Sandra Carpio, paid the price of her easy money making scam. I had previously rented trucks from this facility but believe me, I will never use UHaul services again as this experience has left a sower taste in my mouth. I will file a consumer report, tell my family and friends and write yelp reviews about this matter. I am glad it happens to me as I will not keep quiet about this situation.

I never fill these out but felt this ones is needed. It was well maintained, the employees were always super helpful (helped me to the car with boxes while I had my kid, went over the top when they didn't need to). It was actually a great experience. I'd drive a few extra miles to go back. Tasha was awesome and congrats on the promotion. Absolutely deserved.

The Truck's latch that keeps the cargo door closed, won't close. I had to Bungie thru the holes where the padlock would go to keep the cargo door closed while I drove the truck. The visor on the driver side wouldn't stay up and wouldn't lock into place. Plz take this truck out of commission or have it serviced. Thank U.

NO PArking space for customers. A+ PRO MOVERS WERE NOT EFFICIENT MOVERS. THEY BROKE SOME OF MY STUFF AND DON THE DRIVER WAS TEXTING WHILE DRIVING ON 710 FREEWAY. HE ALSO TEXTED WHILE WORKING THEREBY EXTENDING 2 HRS JOB TO 5 HOURS!

I Would Have To Say, Make Sure You Have More Of The trucks & Vans Available For Use When Customers Need Them. Pay More Attention / Ask The Needs Of The Customers As Well. For Example My Experience Just Recent. I Needed a Utility Dolly. That Wasn't In The Truck....It Was a Small One. Also The Truck Didn't Have The Flat Layout Bed On It, That Comes Out and Then Down. I Needed To Move a Big Screen T.V. It Was Very Difficult To Move without That.

As always this location far exceeded their level of customer service. We used this location when we first moved to Long Beach almost three years ago. Excellent customer service. Eddie was great! He was very helpful. Got me in and out even joked around with my grandsons. Will definitely use them again if I need to.

I only have a problem with the gas. When I rented the truck it was marked on my receipt that it wasn't a full tank. I put 4 dollars in the tank. Should not be charged the 12.75$. Thank you!

I took a photograph of my dashboard as soon as I got in the car to record the actual mileage in relation to the Gas Guage reading, which I contested when I returned the truck. The man who checked us in said he did not care what my photograph showed he goes off the piece of paper and what was indicated on the gas guage which was clearly incorrect when compared with my photo and the recorded mileage upon pickup. He had quite the attitude and told me I was in his personal space when I showed him my photo on my iphone. I've been leasing from this location for four years and the customer service has gone downhill. The last two 10' trucks I rented, were so badly beaten up, the side-view mirror on the passenger side can't even maintain a stable adjustment while operating the vehicle. I guess when you "opt-out" of their insurance coverage, they give you the worst POS on the lot. There is way too much competition to have to put up with substandard vehicles and service.

Send trucks out with a full tank of gas. It's easier for a customer to refuel to Full, rather than trying to guess somewhere between 1/4 and 3/8 tank. Even after refueling $15 one block from return location, I incurred a $30 refueling charge. $45 in gas for 109 miles is outrageous... Especially on top of the $1.09 per mile fee.

Follow up with any refunds that they owe you. I went the first time 2 weeks ago and was owed 4 bucks but I let it pass. Couple days ago l went again and am owed 32 bucks that's has yet to be refunded. Hope they prove me wrong
