COLEANER BThe type of dolly I had reserved (appliance dolly) was not there, and there was uncertainty around whether or not there were even the blankets I reserved, much less the actual quantity. Ultimately, they did have the blankets, but not the dolly.

JOSE CI reserved my equipment weeks in advance for pickup in LA and was called the afternoon before pickup to tell me that the equipment would need to be picked up in Long Beach instead. So much for the commitment that the equipment you order will be ready where and when you order. This added a big hassle to my arrangements.
TRACI LThe Long Beach branch was wonderful. I had some issues with the truck. It had some electrical problems, and both the clerks came to help me and got me on my way as quickly as possible. I really appreciate them. They even stayed past their scheduled time to make sure I was OK when I arrived in Vegas. Dropping off the trailer was clean, and it was almost like I was never there. It was really quick. I appreciate everything you guys do.

JOSHUA KI had reserved a cargo van online through the U-Haul app. I went to pick it up at a different U-Haul. The person was rude, told me they did not have the van, and sent me to another location. He made me feel like I was such a burden! When I got to this location (1600 E. PCH) both the employees were great! Clifford ended up helping me and was wonderful. He was full of positivity, laughs and just wanted to resolve my problems. I ended up with a 15' truck (that's all they had) but it was worth the little bit of extra cash just to be treated right. I will be seeing Clifford anytime I need a rental. Please give that man a raise - he is helping people the right way!!

JOSE AI was told on the phone by an agent that a reservation for an appliance dolly was not necessary and that I should just show up the next morning at my location and they would have an abundance of dolly's. I was fortunate to have been able to rent the last remaining dolly available and was told that I should have made a reservation by the service agent at the location. The people at the location were great and knowledgeable, the phone operator not so much.
Richard SI reviewed my receipt after renting a truck yesterday and noticed the mileage usage was stated about 21 miles over my actual usage. I rented the truck to move my large sofas to EDCO dump in anticipation of delivery of new sofas today. My route entailed from the Uhaul location to my home (0.8mi), my home to EDCO location (2.6mi), and EDCO to home (2.6mi), and home to UHaul location (0.8mi), Total Mileage should be roughly 7 miles. The manager even commented on my return how quickly I brought the truck back. After discovering the error, I called the customer service number, they then connected me to the store manager, who barely took a moment to review my receipt, and did not even bother to hear me out. She only asked if I took pictures of the mileage, after saying no, she dismissed my concerns.

I found him to be dismissive , and he initially told me there were ok rental vans available until I showed him my reservation. Overall, he need a refresher in service, unless you don’t mind him being the face of your brand.
JESUS RYour mileage price changed I understood it was 100 miles a day miss communicating .it was $.89 a mile there is a program that would change the charge to .49 a mile. That never happened. Checking in a young man was charging me a dollar something per mile. I said no. Another employee informed him of the .89 charge. So messed up. What I was told over the phone was not that same at the shop. L would recommend renter be aware.

DONNA WGave me a truck with a dead battery. Instead of a one day rental, I had to delay all my appointments which made me increase my expenses. Would have been cheaper if I hired my own moving company
THIENTAM TIt's an extremely busy location with a tight parking lot. Adding one more employee to assist with the equipment would be helpful.
ANDREW KI rented a 15-foot truck and a tow dolly for a one-way trip ending at U-Haul's Long Beach location at 1600 Pacific Coast Highway. During my drive on Sept. 1, I spoke with a U-Haul representative who assured me that returning the equipment in Long Beach after hours would be no problem. That was a lie. When I arrived in Long Beach at 10:00 p.m., the people who run the facility had sealed off all three entrances to the lot by pulling trucks across each driveway. Where is someone supposed to return a 15-foot truck if they can't even get it onto the property? I had no choice but to essentially leave the truck on the sidewalk at one entrance, and the tow dolly sitting at another entrance. This was appalling customer service by the staff in Long Beach.
SCOTT BKeep reservations consistent throughout all UHaul locations m. I reserved a 15’ truck with an appliance dolly. I was then sent to another UHaul location for the 15’ but didn’t have the appliance dolly available. I was then directed to the same UHaul I initially made the reservation and my reservation did not say I requested an appliance dolly.
jesus bStaff where the best however the first truck we took had the gas stolen the night before and there was a hole in the gas tank when we filled up at the gas station next truck was the same situation took 2 hours to get a solid truck.
JACKSON CMy only gripe, if you could call it that, would be with the app not with the location itself. It was not made clear that to rent a cargo van or pickup truck your license must be the same as the city as the location itself. This caused a delay of a few hours for my rental. Despite this slight misunderstanding, the service from the staff was great and they were very helpful. The app is good too just not as clear as it could be.
DORIAN VWhat a pleasure it was to drop off the truck here, especially after the pickup fiasco. The agent did have some questions about when I picked up, so perhaps the rentail is still mangled in your system.

Bradley MThey closed at 5:00 and I tried every number possible to let them know I would be there at 4:55 to drop off my cargo trailer. The main guy could not have been ruder and said U-Haul made them close at 5 and he could not help me. I explained I had driven for 4 days, quickly unloaded my trailer, had nowhere to park my trailer at my new home, called their number and got it there before closing. He finally helped me and it took maybe 5 min - except for the 5 min of why he didn’t want to help me. OMG! The San Antonio customer service was so helpful and he was so horrible!

EMILY MKeep doing what you're doing! Such an easy process. Rented from 3 different locations in the last 2 months for our move. This one has by far been my best exoerience. Staff was friendly, courteous, and efficient. The rental process was a breeze at pickup. The site was busy at dropoff, but they took care of me promptly. Will use this location if I need to rent a truck again. Everyone working during pickup and dropoff was AMAZING! I interacted with everybody. A+ customer service!

JEFFREY HI had a 6 pm reservation for a cargo van. They did not have the cargo van when I arrived. They offered me a larger truck (which would have used more gas) for the same rental cost. I did not want the bigger truck but I had no choice. At 6:20 pm they got a cargo van returned and they let me switch to the cargo van, but I was late for my next appointment. The van was due back at 9 am the next morning. The back of the van was dirty. It had not been cleaned at all, inside or out. I sent them photos. There was mess on the floor. I had to put cardboard on the floor to keep my things clean. Next morning I was there before 9 am, waiting in the van under the Return canopy, as per posted instructions. Nobody was there to help. I received a nagging text that said, "reminder we explained truck needs to be back 9am for there is a reservation on it please drop van asap" (that is an exact copy & paste quote from their text). SUMMARY: When I picked up the van, they did not have what I was promised until 20 minutes late (and after having to repeat rental info and they took charged my Credit Card). They did not apologize for their being late. When I returned the van they sent the text nagging me to return the van "asap" when I was already there exactly as I promised and they were neglecting me, leaving me to sit in the van and wait as the sign instructed. FINAL EVAL.: Annoying, not on time. vehicle not available as promised, equipment not clean. Would use again but only as a last option.
