was sent out with 1/4 tank of fuel. paperwork said it was 1/2 full. I didn't have enough time to turn around and go back. Cost me an extra $20 to buy a 1/4 tank that never existed in order to return it at 1/2 I only drove less than 20 miles....

I went through all the internet application the night before I picked the truck up. When I arrived to pick the truck up they had no record of the information I had put into the computer the night before. Quite frustrating.

would have been 5 Stars. Except, they forgot to give me the plastic totes I rented. I expected them to be in the truck since no one ever offered them to me or told me to pick them up anywhere in particular. I then let customer service know, and when I returned the truck expected they would have them ready for me. But once again they were forgotten. partially my fault for forgetting to ask about them multiple times. But I feel like if it rented them and it was all done online, they should have somebody getting that stuff ready to go or put in the back of the truck that you're getting as well. Could have been less than 4 stars. Had they not giving me a refund. But, they did give me a refund without question, and without me having to ask for it. So four stars it is

Rented 5 of the stackable totes/boxes for the week. I expected them to be In the back of the truck when I got home, since I hadn't received any instructions on where or how to get them. Mistake for assuming anyone was on top of that Got home to find they were nowhere to be seen. I called and let them (out of state call center. Sounded like Texas) know. They said it would be taken care of when returne the truck. Was late due to traffic (they were understanding) and the boxes slipped my mind again. Just got home only to realize I still never got my boxes.. it's extremely frustrating. A little more focus on the customer would be nice. After all, moving is usually quite stressful. Both times I called about the forgotten boxes, the operator said they would make a note on my account.. So when I swing in there in the morning, anything less than them handing me my boxes without even having to ask, it wouldn't be enough. They should know I'm coming, they should know what's happening, they should be prepared, and they should probably give me an extra week of the rental on them.. but I would never expect that.. customer service 101.

I don’t think there’s anything that can improve this location. It’s challenging and cramped because of where it is. However, once you are aware you can mediate the small inconvenient location. The staff was great! everything I needed was ready. The van I rented was clean, in good running order fitted me needs and everything worked well. A+ rating for my experience today! I would come back again for my next need to rent something!

The vehicle had a "check gas cap" warning message. I tried fixing it myself, didn't work. I called the store to make sure I was good to go, they made me call roadside assistance who wanted to send someone out an hour later. I drove back to the store, was told to wait till they could get me another truck, waited another 15 minutes, to finally be told to just take the same darn truck. Wasted the first hour of my rental messing with this nonsense.

U-Haul of mid city is the best U-Haul in Salt Lake Valley. They always are quick to get your reservation ready and the truck pulled up to the front. Would highly recommend them to anyone.

The initial booking was great and I was relieved it got me out of a bind as another moving company fell through on the day I was to move across country. The visit to pick up the truck was friendly and the owner was very nice. The second visit to pick up the trailer was not so much. I had a really hard time hearing the man helping me and he would speak up when asked. He gave no instructions on what to do with the truck while getting the trailer ready. Borderline rude. There were drink bottles from the previous renter under the seat. Thank you Uhaul for saving me from a disastrous Budget rental. You will always be my go-to moving forward.

I do wish that there was quite a bit less in charge as there $40 a day for over 24 hours a half hour On having a truck when I had an incident during my rental - where I don’t drive I had a family member driving and there was an incident at her job where A coworker of hers die to a death in this coworkers family & wasn’t able to come to work so she was having to pick up slack and so Due to this . It was a cost of more money 40 dollars a day because I couldn’t get this truck back rather UHaul maybe have a option Like have kind of a prorated for the amount of time that you use it even if it’s a half like mine was in my return date Or even if it was a couple hours past the due date and time from when it was rented like maybe So Does it have to be an entire $40 charge This is & it is quite a bit of money to be using A truck that could be used for another person I get that but that’s quite a bit a chunk of money on a daily basis per 24 hour period rather than prorate at abit. For a few hours rather than just a flat 40 dollars every day Or like maybe a customer could fill the gas tank abit to accompany the return

I was forced to rent (and pay for) a larger Uhaul than I had ordered because I was never told that in order to get the smaller size I would need to go to another location.

Walk around the truck with the customer and be more available to answer questions on check out. On my visit, they said “The truck is out front ready to go. Let us know if you have any trouble.” They never came out from behind the counter.

The rep who checked the truck out to me was very friendly and knowledgeable.

On the key drop box it would be helpful to have signage that says...STOP before depositing your key do the following #1 take a picture of the fuel gage. #2 check mileage We deposited our key and then logged in to complete the check in process. We had no idea we would need to open the truck, turn the key in the ignition, and take a picture of the fuel gage or odometer. Once the key was deposited it’s too late to check in our truck. Another $20!
