We rented the truck in Oxnard and discovered after driving to Camarillo that there was a lock on the back lift gate. After hours of waiting we had a representative finally come with the correct key so we could begin loading the truck. We were told we would be compensated but when we turned the vehicle in were only compensated $13 in gas fees. We were expecting more for the hours of delay.ANN M.
Charged me for insurance when I didn't want it. Called and asked to have it corrected. Took me over and hour to get through to store. Manager was suppose to call me back but didn't. STILL hasn't.Julie G.

Marco was the only good thing that came from my visit. He helped me hook up the trailer to my car and reversed my ball joint when he realized it was too low. I was unable to do that at my house so it was much appreciated. The BIG problem was that the trailer i reserved was given to someone else that day even though my pickup time was 6:45pm and I was early for my appointment. This was very frustrating and I was unable to get the trailer I wanted which made my task much more difficult. On top of that, I was charged DOUBLE what i was supposed to be charged due to some weird computer glitch. I was told that the charges would be adjusted and that hasn't happened yet. I called yesterday and the wait time was over 1 hour. I am a busy trauma surgeon with 2 young children and my time is much more valuable than the $50 that you overcharged me. During hookup, the representative checked only the blinkers after hookup. I should have asked him to also check running lights but didn't - only to find later I had no running lights. Turned out the pigtail/extension has a bad wire. Also when he hooked up the chains he left them too long, so they were dragging and I had to stop and re-do them. Next time I won't rely on the representative to hook up properly for me!JARED F.

This was my first time using "U-Haul" to rent a truck. The check-out process was hindered by my phone not want to communicate with their system, but the associate was able to navigate around it and we were off and running. The truck (cargo van) was very clean and did not smell. It performed well and was easy to drive. The return process was smooth and without surprises. Customers must use a credit card to rent a vehicle and this comes with a whopping $5.11 fee. The only negative was the credit card charge. I'll use this "U-Haul" again.JOSEPH W.

Well the morning staff was excellent, polite with awesome customer service. However the return was a rude and insulting experience. The staff in the office was nice and polite, he said he would meet me in the back, when I went outside my husband said let's go that the staff is rude as hell, apparently when we pulled up a staff that was in the garage area told my husband what is he doing, my husband told him waiting for my wife she's in the office, the staff said that she doesn't need to do any paperwork inside everything is done outside, your staff proceeded to be rude about everything is handle outside, Teach them customer service, usually when you drop them off nobody is out there in the garage so you have to go inside, right??YOLANDA M.

First of all the guy that helped me tricked me any rented me the wrong van when I specifically pointed to the one I wanted and he agreed that he had it but gave me a different secondly the brakes were squeaking every time I braked and did not feel comfortable luckily I wasn't a long trip I really hope it's fixed before the rent it again.SALVADOR R.

When I arrived to drop off my rental I parked in designated area and began the return process on my U-Haul app when a gentleman walking up and said it's ok I'm doing it and pretty much told me to leave and that I went over my mileage. The employee, I think his name was Dominic, was incredibly helpful. He was the only one working, and it juggled the line as well as installing trailers wonderfully. He was friendly, and gave us extra time to return the truck. Very easy experience, and I would do it again!KASSIDEE S.

Rep said the tank was full but it was not. One of the tires was low. I had taken a picture of the gas not being full. It was time stamped and I brought back the truck with a full tank. Rep said I would get a credit for not getting a full tank as indicated on the contract. I have not seen any credit.ENRIQUE U.

I had reserved a 10' truck, but decided on arriving that I needed the next size larger. This wasn't a problem for the staff (sorry I don't remember his name). The truck was clean and ran well. The final check-in on my phone was convenient. I only needed the truck a few hours and when I returned it the return process was quick and easy. Great job!Phyllis M.
