Two out of three employees I encountered were not wearing masks, even when within six feet of me. As far as I could tell they did not even have masks with them. Also, when I got the van the employee told me to make sure I bring it back with the same amount of gas in it because gas is $3.50/gallon. What he did not tell me is that there is an additional absurd $30 charge for bringing it back with less gas that when I took it. had I have known that I would have made sure to put more gas in before bringing it back.NICHOLAS D.
The signage for dropping the key at the unattended location could be better located. It was initially a bit disconcerting because I did not see the sign at first. It was the only indicator of what to do with the key. It wad quite high on a door and simply said â€˜Key Drop.' If there other signs leading one to that spot, I missed them.David B.

Young guy at the desk was extremely unhelpful/apathetic. I filled out all information/check-in online yet the check-in process at the store lasted about an hour even though I was the only customer. Also forgot to include ANY of the equipment I ordered with the truck. Had to re-do my order 3 times, and then did not know how to add optional equipment to an order. Called his manager to ask how, manager had no ETA on when he would return to store to assist the employee. I ended up leaving without my equipment after giving up.CHACE B.

I may file an official complaint about this, but it was really frustrating and annoying that my initial reservation was given away without any notice from UHaul. I reserved a cargo van all day, from 8:30am to 7:00pm. I had some urgent family issues to deal with in the morning so I didn't get to UHaul until 11:30am. The attendant told me I was "really late" so they had given the cargo van to someone else. No one tried calling me, no one emailed me. Even though I had *reserved* the van for the entire day, UHaul still felt it was totally fine giving the van away without any notice. I was really lucky they had a truck of any kind, but it still cost more than I was intending to pay and it was much harder to park in the city, where I was using it. I asked several times if there was anything written in the contract or otherwise about this window of time where UHaul reserved the right to give away a reservation, and the attendant didn't have an answer. He just reminded me I was really late to my all day reservation. So yeah the experience was terrible and I'd like a refund for the difference in cost.Andrew B.

There was a folded box left in the passenger section of the truck. I also did not receive the 6 blankets that I ordered. The person who helped me confirmed that they were part of my order/that I paid for them, so I assumed they were just in the truck. I didn't realize they were missing till i got to my destination, I didn't have time to call about the blankets because I was very busy moving, and at that point the blankets/dealing with this was a low priority. I would like to be refunded for the blankets, and for there to be a clear process for how to get the equipment that is ordered.Maya T.

I am upset. We made ace reservation for east providence, got there and you had no record of it. I had to drive across providence to broad street. The truck had 155k miles on it. It rained that day and the truck leaked onto my content in the back of the truck. The windshield wipers did not work well and sipped across the windshield, both ineffective and very annoying noise. The cab itself had some kind of seal problems and was extremely loud inside while driving making and loud reverberation which we had to yell over. It was a bad experience and the worst U-Haul I've used.Casey V.

There was human fecal matter all over the parking lot, empty cleaning supplies ,and dirty rags all over the ground outside. Be open a little later to do the check in when ppl are returning trucks. I was not comfortable standing in a not well lit area having to take all of these pics of the U-Haul.Amy T.
There was no place to park. We had to drive around the block to find a place t park the car. The trucks on the lot were blocking the exits and entrance area. The store itself was not clean and staff as well as customers were walking in close contact with others with and without masks . We spent $20 on gas and it was more than the level was in the track. They could have called it even for what they say was overage for the miles, $6 and some change. Next I need a truck I will use Penske , Budget or friends with pick ups.Marie J.
The truck was clean but it was the worst truck that I ever rented. The truck was falling apart! The whole handle area to close the door was falling apart (on both doors) which made it difficult to close the door once inside the truck.
