The van was filthy dirty and we had to spend the first half hour cleaning it. In Covid times this is really poor service. When I made the reservation online there was nothing to alert me to the fact that rentals are no longer 24 hour but only for the hours chosen on the website. When I called to ask how much it would cost if I returned the van an hour late, I was told $65! That is highway robbery. We did get back at the specified time even after having to stop to put air in the rear tire which was slowly leaking. Terrible experience. Won't use Uhaul again.LINDA F.

Per the instructions posted in the vehicle return area i remained in the vehicle waiting for someone to appear to assist with the return. No one ever appeared. I called the location and after 20 minutes on hold i was disconnected. I eventually did an after hours return. .DAVIDLEE B.

The online process to return your rental is way too inconvenient especially for someone who just moved a whole house. It would be greatly appreciated if you guys implemented an easier way to return your rental when your location is not accessible on your mobile device as well as ask for a ton of pictures. It was very difficult for an elder to finish this process especially if they are not tech savvy. Please and thank you !!ALEXIS O.
I've been using the same location averaging a rent a week for about 5 years now. That's when I started my business. The vehicles have been declining at at steady pace. 7 out of 10 times the vehicle isn't clean. Once there was a man sleeping in the back of the van.....I never complain but my last rent there was soiled diapers and empty nips of liquor in the door side panel. I would think in these times of covid now the delta variance cleanliness would step up?! Not to mention had I been pulled over with empty nips... As I said I've been a loyal customer for many yrs seeing a half dozen or so changes in managing never complaining, mainly because it seems short staffed but soiled diapers and liquor bottles.. curious about your reply. The staff was great at the location. However I felt that the cab of the vehicle wasn't cleaned prior to my arrival. Also I used the truck share 24/7 feature and thought that the pictures of existing damage were not fully accurate for damage already previously on the vehicle.Matt S.

I was overcharged in time and mileage. The staff was on their phones while many people waited to check in and out. There was No check out procedure. I handed the keys and was told I was good to go. I will likely never rent uhaul again after this experience.Andrea M.

I did the â€œcontactlessâ€ rental which I thought was all set up prior to my arriving at uhaul, however once we arrived there were several steps I had to do on my phone, including scanning my drivers license and then showing additional documentation (passport) or giving them friends/family info to presumably verify my identity. So uhaul then texted my friends and called them immediately after I entered their info. This felt like a very strange and unnecessary step, which also derailed our check in b/c my friends did not pick up the phone and it took some back and forth and me re-starting the check in process to eventually get the whole thing to work. While I was struggling with the online/contactless check in I waited in line at the uhaul center b/c I didn't know how else to proceed. The line was huge and moving very slowly. There were only two guys working on a very busy moving day. Many people were having issues with their rentals. The whole experience was frustrating and took way longer than expected.Alicia R.

The van smelled overwhelmingly like cigarette smoke and was incredibly dirty. There was a melted waxy like substance in the cupholder. There was no guidance when you came back to drop off the vehicle. The drop off lane was already 2 trucks deep and I was practically parked on the curb to return my vehicle. I was grateful to get a van so last minute but I would have expected a cleaner vehicle if you're associating yourself with such a well known company. I will take my chances elsewhere when renting a vehicle next time.Alexandra F.

Once again, the service was glacially slow. Also, it turned out all I had to do was drop off my key and give the mileage number, but no one told me that and there were no signs to that effect. Finally, after I waited for about 1/2 hour, a sales associate noticed that I had a key in my hand and took it from me so I could leave.JAMESKUPER Z.
As helpful as they were I wish the vehicle conditions were dealt with better prior to releasing. The tires were low on air, the backup light on one side was out, the mirror was so loose it fell off while driving, the padlock would not lock, the cab was not clean, the driver side window was a little off the track needing to be pushed up while rolling up, and it ran like it needed servicing.MICHAEL M.

Have more personal to release the trucks. I waited 45 minutes to get my truck which I rented it at 10am and ended up leaving almost at 11am.Paola C.
Great staff but clearly understaffed. Seems like staff needs to arrive earlier. Systems are painfully slow. No signage or communication for the self/online check in process. Not an organized way to separate self check in customers from the others to speed up the operation. Also the online check in process really needs some improvement. Very difficult, slow, clunky, confusing. And I should have been able to fill in some of the security information in advance. Perhaps there is something you all can learn from Zipcar.Avishai M.
This wasn't my selected pickup location, it was twenty minutes out of my way. Additionally, there was an enormous pile of human feces next to the drivers side door. Though the poop and being twenty minutes out of my way pales in comparison to the fact that you DOWNGRADED me from a 15 foot truck to a 10 foot truck because your SERVICE SUCKS. Thanks to the smaller truck, I spent the whole weekend moving, instead of Saturday afternoon. I will sacrifice my first born before I use U-Haul again and I will be certain to spread my hatred of your company to every person I have the opportunity to talk to in the future. As for what you can do for the next customer? Run away, Simba. Run, run far away, and never return. But seriously -- go out of business. Sell off your assets to business owners that won't SCREW their customers.James L.

The truck was dirty, trash from the previous renter was left in the car. Also, that truck needs to be serviced because the brakes are squeaking and whenever I'd press the brake pedal it was as if I'd pressed the gas pedal because the engine revved up. It was a scary experience driving that truck and I did not feel 100% safe in it.MARIA K.

Management should train their employees to at least offer to help customers instead of playing on their phones. I've been to this location several times. The first couple of times was to buy bundles of boxes. Both times there were AT LEAST 2 employees behind the desk and not once did they offer to help carry the heavy boxes. The last time I rented a truck and I requested that someone do a walk around with me before I left so that any prior scuffs or marks were made aware. All three employees behind the desk stared into space then proceeded on their phones. After pretty much demanding someone come with me to do the walk around I was able to get help. The mobile check in process was difficult and I drove the truck 30 minutes to my location to find out there was a lock on the back trunk. I had to drive back another 30 minutes to have them unlock the back. That should have been taken care of before I left the location.Jameson M.
