They hooked up the trailer wire harness under the tongue of the trailer which caused the harness to get pinched and blew three fuses in my truck. Had to deal with that in the middle of the night since the trailer didn't have lights.James H.
I came to Rancho Cordova location. It was rain. At front desk no one there. I went to break room asked to assistant and the guy said he don't care he is in lunch. I asked him to find who is in duty he said go find one. I was waiting for 25 minutes no one come. After assistant arrive i asked for rent 10' van. He said: You need dropped of in different locations.He said its not that far from us. I said ok. He gave me 7 miles credit but guess what its was more than 20 miles. I HAVE HORRRIBLE HORRIBLE EXPIRIANCE. THEY NOT RESPECT ME AS LONG TERM CLINET/. YOU CAN CHECK MY RECORD. I was at Mather location where I keep a locker. I had a chance to work with Jennifer. She recommended I pick my trailer up at sunrise because the hand Dollie's weren't available that day. When I arrived at sunrise the manger was very helpfully. It is a pleasure dealing with competent employees that understand customer service. You have done a great job hiring. The gas had been siphoned from the tank on the truck; it was necessary to fill up immediately. The gas tank pick-up had been removed, the truck was leaking gas. A repair person was sent and the repair was made, but in the meantime my movers were not able to put stuff in the truck. I was not told that if I returned the truck with 1/4 tank I would be given a credit.James E.
The truck was not stocked with requested equipment upon pickup, and I needed to make a return trip once the location opened for the day an hour later. The staff was friendly, but very slow, and it took the better part of an hour to get through the 3 people in line before me, and this ate up a total of 2 hours from our moving efforts due to the missing equipment. My experience using the equipment and vehicle rental was very ultimately satisfactory once I had everything I needed, but the lack of preparedness was very frustrating and disappointing.Nicholas S.

When we picked up the U-Haul we notified the associate that the oil light was flashing and he said he was aware it needed an oil change but told us we were good to go. The cabin a had dirt and leaf debris on the floor. then the U-Haul broken down on us and we had to get it towed by calling the emergency number we were stuck on the side of the freeway for several hours we had to put oil in it and that cost us $50 for oil that we put in it and I have no way to get that money back because we couldn't get a hold of anyone and my phone was broken and I could not take pictures of the receipts to send them overall this experience was something I was not happy with and I will never rent a U-Haul from that location ever again. Emergency services was amazing though it was going to be 3 hours before a technician could get to us so instead they had a tow truck since and towed to our new residence where it was left where we then unloaded it the next morning and was picked up after we unloaded and that experience was amazing and a great credit to the emergency services they were wonderful but overall I don't feel I should have had to pay what I paid for a U-Haul that broke down on us when we informed him that it needed oil and he said no you're fine go ahead very unsatisfiedKenneth P.

An Employee called off and a poor guy had to rush over there and got there past 9pm when we were all standing outside waiting for it to open. He had quite the line. BUT - he was very serious and grumpy and could have put a smile on for the customers and been happy to have his job - as we were all very nice and polite and noone was unkind because it opened late. Even 3 hours later when I came back to bring the Trailer back - he was still grumpy, and not polite at all when asking his other employee to help check my trailer in. Not necessary or appreciated. Otherwise, office was clean, the Trailer was in good condition and it was exactly what we needed.Aarica K.

My bumper on my Cadillac CTS was broken during hitch installation and was zip tied back on. I wasn't notified and they tried to hide the damage and give my vehicle back broken. I had to have a brand new bumper installed by a body shop and was strung along for about 3 weeks before it was taken back to be fixed. I also had to rent a car for a week while waiting to receive my car back from the body shop and that was a lot of trouble to get reimbursed. They told me my car might have manufacturer problems is why they broke my bumper and couldn't do the hitch properly. I then went to another hitch installation business and they installed my hitch with no problems in 1.5 hours. I'll never be using uhaul for anything but renting a moving truck and probably not even that after this month long experience of them breaking my car and having to fight for a month just to have it to the condition it was in before I brought it to them. Worst customer service I've personally dealt with, but after about 4 weeks I was reimbursed for the hitch installation that was never actually done for $580 and for the rental which was $430. So I was out $1000 of my money and a broken car for a month.DEVON O.
Horrible experience and the people working were not any help. Not only were we not able to do the 24/7 pick up at our pick up time because truck was blocked in, it didn't have any gas. They were also out of all of the equipment which they didn't notify us until 8:04 when our pick up time was 7:30 and they were very rude about us â€œnot getting the informationâ€ even though it wasn't sent until after we inquired about it.Adam L.

I rented a truck, appliance dolly and moving pads to move my fridge, washer and dryer and beds. They didn't have the dolly or pads so I have to rent another truck to finish my move. Huge inconvenience and costly. Very disappointing.Johnathan M.

I reserved a van for pick up on September 9th. Upon arrival I was told that the gasoline on the vans were siphoned the night prior. The first van given to me was empty so the front desk asked me to return it full. I said nope I don't work here. I was then given a different van that I was told has half a tank. I agreed and grabbed the van because I was in a hurry. When I got in the van the gas was at a quarter tank and the back of the van had puddles of Indian food residue all over the floor. I don't have time to complain on site so I left. I returned the van at a quarter tank and was charged for a half tank. Please reach out for a refund of some kind.Elijah C.
My experience was mixed. Originally, when my husband went to pick up the rental, after driving 2 hours, the reservation was canceled by someone in the office. Had my husband been a little later, the truck reserved would have been taken by someone else. I was able to extend my rental easily as I ended up sick and couldn't return it on time. When I went to return the truck, I found that my car had been vandalized. 2 of the windows broken. I guess these things happen, but I won't be trusting this location again. It's just a bummer to have to deal with this after a long move. The staff was helpful in getting the window taped up for my drive.Jennifer C.

Better program for gas reimbursement. If the vehicle is returned with more fuel than when it was rented the customer should be reimbursed for the difference. An alternative would be to have all equipment fully fueled when initially rented.Clark W.
