I reserved a closed trailer about 2 weeks ago. I then received 3 different texts the day before my rental telling me my reservation was for North Highlands, then Roseville , then Pyrites Way and finally Auburn Blvd. I ended up just taking an open trailer because I didn't feel liked being "jerked around" by your reservation system any more.

The rental process way to long. Asked questions that are not necessary. What color is the car I was putting on the car trailer. I only have one phone number. I do not have a home phone number and my cell number is my work number . I had to give them a number of an out of town relative in case my phone broke? How are they going to get a hold of me if my phone is broke? I have used your company for years and all my info is in the computer, however, in the future I will be taking my business elsewhere.

When I ordered the trailer I was told to confirm at a location. They where not doing uhaul at the time I was told. Called and told uhaul they said they would arrange a new location. Received email so I confirmed there. Day before I was to pick it up I received a call saying they had over booked. The lady said I could go to pine grove which is 1 1/2 to 2 hours away. When asked she said no they would not bring it closer. Then she tried to give me a much bigger trailer. I said no as I had ordered the 4 by 8 trailer 3-4 weeks in advance. She did eventually find a trailer one size bigger about 30 minutes away. She told me that I would be charged the same price. She made me feel I was putting her out. When I went to pick up the trailer they quoted double amount I was told. They did make the adjustment . Everyone I spoke to was very nice and helpful, except the one lady.

It was awkward returning the truck. I had to wait in a line that butted out into the road.

I had contacted location to extend my rental and even checked in with the manager Chris status on the rental. When I returned the truck the staff acted as if we had the truck longer then our rental period not realizing my previous conversations to extend the rental period. That was a little frustrating.

Chris, the owner, was fantastic and took good care of us.

This answer relates to your Mather Field Drive office in Rancho Cordova, CA: Evidently, the definition of the word RESERVATION is different for U-Haul than for the dictionary. We had a month's reservation for a truck on a specific date and time. We were promised, the previous night that the truck would be waiting for us in the morning. But, when we got there, the truck had been rented out to someone else. This was a breach of contract and trust. We ended up having to go to a different location. This has left a seriously bad impression for us as to how U-Haul does business. When you make a promise, KEEP IT!

I would like call out a special recognition to Chris, the manager, for going above and beyond the call of duty to help troubleshoot and fix a towing harness issue on my car. Thank you again Chris.

I only did the night drop off, so I don't have much context to rate this location.

Two people were working when I went to get the truck. I had a very, and I mean VERY bad experience with my previous rental. I stopped using Uhaul. After this experience with Tate, I will be back. Tomorrow or Wednesday. Dealing with customers myself, he handled everything exceptionally. Budget just lost a customer. But, now y'alls have to live up to his/their standard. And yes, I will expect it at least to a 75% level. It was that outstanding. Both of them. Kudos.

To look at him, you'd think that Chris Berget (co-owner) is some long-haired, hippy-type kid, who wouldn't know anything about REAL customer service (which is lacking with so many businesses these days), but DON'T JUDGE A BOOK BY IT'S COVER, because this kid is ALL BUSINESS! I rarely do reviews, but I was SO impressed by his level of customer service that I had to write this. And I'm going to leave it at that, because that's really all that needs to be said. SUPERIOR CUSTOMER SERVICE should be the benchmark for which every business should strive and Chris and his team are on point!

Speed up the check out and check in process. Have friendlier staff.

On busy days UHaul should have more attendants. People can only work so fast. I usually have to wait and always plan for an hour when I go to a UHaul facility. The employees at the Pyrite facility in Gold River are always friendly, helpful and hard working. I have used this place many times and recommended it to friends. Thanks, Gaith

Reservation was for Folsom location - got switched to RanchonCirdiva incurring more mileage charge. Agent confirmed pick up for 8:30. Arrived at 8:30 - office did not open until 9:00. Van had mechanical issues. Difficult to put in reverse. Not the typical experience we have had with uhaul.

I found my experience with U-Haul, the company, as terrible. This is not to berate the location itself, but the UHaul company policy itself. To explain: I had confirmed my truck over a week in advance at a location only 1 mile from my house. but then, a couple hours before I was to pickup the truck, I was told I had to go to a location 12 miles away. This messed up all of our timing plans, including the hiring of four people to help us move. I can only assume the "reserving a truck at a location" means absolutely nothing to you. I am well aware that this was not a one-off occurrence. It is common practice in your company. I suppose you can get away with such terrible policy and action as you have a monopoly in my city. Please be assured that your actions do nothing to help your company or your PR. I hope you do something to stop this terrible practice of reassigning pick up locations after being promised of reservation. It only hurts you.
