Threats and scare tactics employed would cause me to never again use U-HAUL. Bring the van back full of gas or you will be charged $30.00 service fee. I filled the tank only to find that it was not full when I left. In essence I gave U-Haul free gas. Staff did not care about my concerns. So in short , F U-HAUL, and I'm telling everyone I know.

lauren C.Only issue I had was I rented a furniture dolly and the U-Haul staff should have made sure it was on my truck. It was not. I needed to turn back to go get it. If that is supposed to be the renters responsibility, then they sales person should indicate that in addition to doing the rental walk around to check for damages, they should make sure they have all their rented equipment. That was not mentioned.

Helen B.Originally, I ordered and confirmed to pick up a van at Surf Market on May 10th at 9am. However, there was no van at the location at 9am today. I called your customer service and a customer representative told me that my pick up location was set at U-Haul on Lincoln blvd. For some reasons, the pick up location has been changed WITHOUT notice. I had to ask my friend to drop me off at the location. This resulted one hour late for the entire moving. If you have to change the pick up location, please let me know in ADVANCE. Also, the van I was assigned had only 1/4 gas. It was difficult to add gas to fill just 25% of the tank during the moving.

The radiator had issues, no fluid, it broke down on me and had to drive it to Van Nuys overheating because the tow truck driver provided came with no tow truck. Just to make matters worse I was billed for the entire trip including gas. How was I suppose to get gas if the vehicle stalled on me and made me miss out on a $800 job for the day. Worst experience so far.

daniel P.Location is cramped and hard to navigate. Staff not helpful. Drop and leave approach can result in improper charges. We lost three blankets and were charged $90. Staff indicated the lost charge was about $6-7 but that was not official. The correct information may have changed choice about not looking for lost items.

Lisa M.Have more people working the counters to lessen the wait time. I made a reservation .. and I still waited 35 to 55 minutes on a Thursday morning at 10 am. Don't answer the phones taking calls ahead of the people who have been waiting. Treat your customers as if they are a valuable asset.
