Lack of one-way trucks at this location means it's almost more annoying that it's worth for moving, even to another part of the same city. I would have canceled my reservation and used a different location had I known this before pickup.William T.

The trucks advertise $19.95, but after Insurance, rental tax, mileage and gas refill; it's more like $75 for a quick move across town. But when you don't have a truck, it's a great smooth efficient option.Brad C.

Maybe give the guy that was working on 04/02/2022. Around 10:00a.m. A raise he was the only employee working and it was very busy!! I reserved my box truck online, and it was very easy to use the website.I would recommend reservations online it is way better and you practically skip everyone else who walked into the store!Mark E.

Really good vibe at this place. It was the fourth U-haul I'd been to this morning. They kept telling me the U-haul I needed was available and another location. But when I got there, it hadn't been reserved for me. I learned to tell them to reserve it under my name. They should have done that for me... Overall, I love U-haul. It's the least thing I have to worry about on moving day. Thank you!BJORN S.

Had to reschedule my 7am hitch install twice due to the part not being delivered. Neither time I received a call to let me know.. After the hitch is finally delivered it dropped my car off just to receive a call that there's no bolt kit with the hitch abd that will take another week to deliver! Tired of having to reschedule I requested a full refund and well buy the hitch elsewhere and install myself. This whole ordeal has cost me time and money that it shouldnt have...Austin H.

Cody, whose name tag said owner, was a total jerk. Acted like I was an inconvenience rather than a customer. He charged me to fill the gas over what was in the truck when I got it, which isn't at all fair. Kept sighing anytime I asked anything or needed my info updated. I would have walked out had I not really needed a truck right then. I'll be sure to never come back to this location again if/when needed.DINA G.
After we had already gotten about 3/4 loaded, got a call from the Uhaul place saying he'd given us an "in-town" trailer instead of out of state, so could we please unload it and bring it back to swap it out. Are you kidding me? We said no.Laura B.

The checkout process was simple and fairly quick, considering the line of people and only one worker. However, when I tried to return the cargo van, there was a pileup of four other vehicles that had been returned that were blocking the driveway. I called their number six times to ask where I should park, and no one ever answered. After waiting ~fifteen minutes, an employee showed up, and moved a few of the vehicles so that me and another renter that had returned could finally pull into the vehicle return area. Once parked, I stepped out of the vehicle, was asked if I had replaced the gasoline, and the employee got in and started the vehicle to pull off, I stopped him because I needed to retrieve my lock on the back of the truck to which I was told "well hurry up". Having waited quite some time, and gotten no communication, being told to hurry up was both laughable and rude. I don't know the employee's name (Cody checked out the vehicle, and it wasn't him) but this was at 4:00 this afternoon. Likely will not be working through this location again, will opt for the Columbia location as I have previously.ADAM H.

The staff, which is usually one person regardless of the time of day or day of the week, is clearly over worked. I would guess that Uhaul is taking advantage of workers. The staff is always pleasant and knowledgeableâ€¦.. but I feel bad when I go in and there is one person doing propane, handling sales inside the building and dealing with rental equipment. It is clearly too much work for one person. Makes me ponder the values of Uhaul and if I should continue to do business with a company that obviously exploits their employees good will.CHERYL S.

Employees were excellent. They deserve a massive raise. It was pouring rain, and I imagine that organizing the trucks was just about as enjoyable as moving was for me and my wife. The two employees at the St Johns UHAUL were skilled, quick, and efficient. Please, do whatever you can to increase their wages, as well as the wages of all UHAUL employees, apart from upper management. Stick together, stay safe, an be good to each other:)Adam B.

Uhaul wasn't clean when I received it and I was charged a $25 cleaning fee upon returning it.Nathan B.
Customer service was poor during pick up and return. Blonde woman ignored me when I was trying to purchase goods during pickup while on her phone, directing me to go to her co-worker instead. At drop-off she wouldn't offer any assistance when I was struggling trying to check the van back in online. When I told her that the location feature on the UHaul app wouldn't seem to work (even with location services on), she said I would need to scan the location outside somewhere since they were closing. Yes, I did arrive 5 minutes before closing, but it seemed rude that they would leave me hanging that way. As soon as I walked out they locked the door and left. I called UHaul for assistance and the automated system told me the hold time would be over an hour. My phone was dying and I didn't know what to do. In desperation I changed from using Chrome to Safari and that resolved the issue. It was not a good experience.Fern T.
