the paperwork showed that the tank was full , so when the truck was returned and the tank was toped off it took 10 gallons. At that time we only drove 27 miles, that means that the truck only got 2.7 MPG something very wrong. in closing how does the customer know just how full the tank really was?

I tried to rent using the app but it was too slow. I shouldn't have to verify my information every single time I rent a vehicle. The answer given was to protect my data. It's almost 2020, none of my data is safe from hackers so I appreciate the effort, but it's a pain in the butt to stand outside waiting for someone to manually check my information on the app. Also, the gas cap was off the tank when I checked the vehicle, I notified the person inside and it sounds like this is a common occurrence. Maybe invest in locking gas caps? I had no way to determine if someone had put something in the gas tank. Seemed totally unsafe, but no one seemed to be concerned.

Online system failed so I ended up having to check in in the office which cost me an extra $14, after going thru the entire online process already. I wasnâ€™t told about how to check back in or what time facility closed or even where to park the returned truck until a text alert came in about 15 min before the truck was â€œdue.â€ The having to pay for all damages immediately despite my having full coverage insurance also seems like a predatory way to get people to purchase your insurance. Nice business practice, U-haul.

Hello, I recently rented a truck from Uhaul and had a terrible experience. When I first arrived in the store, to pick up my truck, I couldn't find anyone for 15 minutes. I went into every single employee area to try and find someone and couldn't find a single person. I went outside to try and see if there was anyone around. I looked in all the trucks and I finally found the lady sitting in a truck on her phone. She was sitting in a truck that I had parked right next to when I first pulled up so I am positive she saw me go in. Once she was out of the truck she did a good job going over the contract, I will give her that, but then she just handed me the keys to the truck with no explanation of any of the features. This lead to a very dangerous situation. I was driving the truck all weekend in the dark and finally, on Sunday night, I got pulled over by a police officer. The officer said I had no lights on in the back of my truck and that it was extremely dangerous. Because the employee never told me that you have to pull a special lever in the truck to turn on the lights I had been driving around for multiple nights with no lights on. THIS IS A HUGE SAFTEY ISSUE. I could have been rear ended or I could have caused an accident of some kind where me or someone else was seriously injured. I was fine with the terrible customer service but putting me in a dangerous situation is absolutely unacceptable. Please make this right. Rachael

Short handed. You check the vehicle out when you give it away but you donâ€™t look at it when it gets dropped off, not to mention the person would not provide any proof to me that i dropped off a clean non-damaged vehicle.

NOT TOO SURE THAT YOU CAN IMPROVE. I FOUND THAT THEIR SERVICE WAS MOST PROFESSIONAL, FAST AND EFFICIENT. THE STAFF HERE DO WHAT THEY'RE SUPPOSED TO DO, AND A GOOD JOB AT IT.
