SARAH Nno one was at the front counter to check in, had to go find the technician. Only 2 people on site. The equipment assigned to me was third back from the front, The person did not want to move equipment to get to the one assigned to me. Had to back into the store to get paperwork corrected on the equipment number, The link to verify equipment number error'ed out on me. So I could not report the condition of the tow dolly at time being picked up. Not very happy with the pickup and process.
KATHLEEN PI have rented multiple times. Last time I believe I rented a 15' not a 10'. I expect a rough ride as the trucks are larger than what I am used to. The customer service was great, but the particular truck i drove needs retired or updated. Seats were tearing, melted spots on the steering wheel, visors did not have they hanging clip, felt like shocks were about done. Still would use this site again. Just would hope for a little smoother of a ride. Miles on truck were relatively high so it made sense it was rough.

JANE HOverall I don’t have any issue with the storage unit etc. but we had so many issues in the first few months. The main one was getting red tagged at our unit after we were told to go to the wrong unit from the beginning. Turned out they entered everything wrong and the unit they put us in wasn’t the unit we were supposed to be in.

MAUREEN HThere was a staff member in the parking lot and guided us through the return area. We appreciated the efforts they made to connect us with a manager to discuss the issues we had at pick up, at a different location and in a different state. This location is large, clean and looks organized and well structured.

Juan BI didn't feel like Aiden was an advocate for the customer. I felt like he was trying to play gotcha with me. I drove a total of 11 miles, and somehow I was charged $22.00 for fuel. That seems very excessive.
JASON MI had a great experience at this location. There was no line!! The guy who helped me get the reservation was super helpful, professional and nice. Then when I picked up the vehicle, Miguel answered all my questions and saved me money!! Super nice and professional, great customer service. Then when I dropped the vehicle off, a different guy helped me and made sure I had all the paperwork I needed to get reimbursed through my job. All 3 guys were very patient with me, helpful, respectful and very nice. I will use this location Everytime now. I had a very good experience, thank you very much

ELISABETH MI would like to request a refund for the towdolly I rented. I was unable to use it because my personal vehicle broke down halfway to my destination. I had to return the equipment and will need to rent it again on another day.
JOSE RNothing needs to be improved on. This location did a fantastic job and my Ubox container arrived on time. My stuffs were in good shape. and the driver was very helpful. I will highly recommend Uhaul, especially the one located on Nob hill.

ROBERT AThe company is simple and straight to the point. But don’t like how everything is an advertised as $19 - $40 and you end up paying damn near $100. But they are very efficient and you can rely on this company for just about all of your storage and moving needs.

CRYSTAL TThe boxes did not arrive on time, they were not picked up on time and caused an extreme amount of stress. Then when they were dropped off to our new home, the placement directions were completely ignored causing even more issues as our garage boxes were the furthest from the garage after we specifically identified box numbers and were we wanted them the directions were not passed to the driver. Not only that but after they all got picked up, they tried to bill me for a second month! Literally nothing went right with these boxes and I will never use U-Haul boxes again.

LYNNE CU-haul seems to put customer communication on the contractors who do the actual work of getting folks moved. My box was delayed 4 days and I received zero communication from U-Haul. In fact, during this entire moving process the only communication I received from U-Haul came in the form of cryptically worded, auto-generated e-mails. My rating would be much lower but fortunately the contractors in Yakima and Austin were very good communicators and made up for the lack of communication from U-Haul I totally understand things don't always go 100% according to plan, but when things go sideways, communication to the customer goes a long way. Definitely an area where you guys can improve.

JAMES BI so appreciate the young lady that worked with me to get me a U-Haul (this is public, so I won’t mention her name out of respect.) All of the U-Haul computer sites were down everywhere and she managed to problem solve the situation with her team and get me in the system to rent a rig. She also solved my packing tape problem :D Love the U-Haul tape, it actually sticks! She made the experience pleasant, she was upfront and honest about everything. She is the reason why I am giving this review a 5 star. The vehicle on the other hand needs a tune up, friend reported that it didn’t shift gears very well on the road. Also the back end inside was clean, but became slippery after it rained and my friend reported he slipped and fell :(. Might want to put some sort of tread down on the end where you step off. Over all, thank you U-Haul.

MARTIN MU-Haul at east Nob Hill got handed a raw deal from U-Haul of Kenmore and should not have been responsible to correct the mess that U-Haul of Kenmore created.

JOSHUA PThe security of the building felt a little lax. The alarm did not work properly. If I entered my code on the west end of the building the alarm would still sound when I entered my unit. And the restriction of access in the late evening was a little variable. I tried to get a load at 7pm and the inner doors were already locked but the bay doors opened for me to park. Aside from this the staff was amazing during a very difficult time in my life and they even let me stay late when I first was unloading. Thank you.

Stephan KI’ve moved a lot of things over long distances in my life - mostly in rented trucks so this was a new experience for me. I looked at reviews online which seemed to be positive so I decided to try. Overall 5 out of 5 and couldn’t be happier with my experience. Uboxes were delivered and picked on time. Customer support was outstanding. All of them (probably a dozen or more) were very helpful and polite. Delivery and pickup drivers were wonderful as well. I honestly can’t think of any negatives. I will be using your service again and would recommend to anyone looking to move especially ling distances.

Keith M | Overall ExperienceNot necessarily this U-Haul facility but, the reservation center / process in general is frustrating. This is twice now for me so I’m sure it happens to others. Customers find a location close to their needs and then make the reservation for that location. Then U-Haul decides where the customers are going to pick up the equipment. That is crap!!!! I’ve chosen locations so I wouldn’t have to navigate in unknown downtown areas then U-Haul forces customers go go to unwanted areas. Why? If a customer makes a reservation on line for a curtain location then that is were the customer should be able to pick up. And not redirected out of their way. If there isn’t a piece of equipment at the customers location that they choose then the website should indicate to the customer that there isn’t one available so then they can pick the next location not U-Haul.

To get in after hours wasnt very easy either. Looks like the entry key pad needs a additional entry card which I was not given. I hope the rest of my experience will be better

JUANITA H | Overall ExperienceConsidering that my storage unit was paid for through July 8, 2024, and my unit was canceled before anything was explained to me, I feel that I should have either had the option to continue to be in possession of the unit the expiration date on July 8, 2024, or I should have been issued a refund for the 23 days that I paid for but was not allowed to use. As for the staff, before I even had the opportunity to enter the storage facility today, a "punk" with an attitude approached me and rudely instructed me to drive where the arrows suggests the route through the parking lot should be versus the way I entered. Then the same "punk" personally escorted the facility manager over to where I was and the manager demanded to know my name and then demanded that I either remove the lock on the storage unit or that I would be charged a "reoval fee." I had already told the "punk" no less than four times that the lock had been removed, the storage unit emptied, and swept. I feel that I was robbed, that I was a victim of reverse discrimination, and that I was treated rudely and unfairly considering that in the two plus years I have NEVER been late with a payment, and considering that at the time the manager approached me with an attitude and began harrassing me, I had already removed all of my belongings from the unit and did not owe him anything. Instead of checking out the storage unit for himself, he merely chose to take the word of a "punk". I honestly believe that it would greatly benefit them both if they were required to successfully cimplete a training on ethics as well as one on customer service. Jamie L. Estrada

The doors should be shut at all times and if your card doesn't work on the security door then you need to receive another and not be allowed in, even with the security buzzer. DELORIS B | First ImpressionsI leased a 5x5 unit to store my belongings while I transition moving to yakima. When we got the the unit it still had someone else's padlock on it. After going back to the desk and speaking with the manager, he explained the last available 5x5 unit had someone else's stuff and they had to transfer me to a 5x10. The manager argued back and forth with me unnecessarily for 15 minutes that they would not honor the contract I just signed for the 5x5 or do anything to accommodate the mistake that he himself made selling me a unit that didn't exist. Eventually he admitted that they can give me the same rate for one month after the initial free month which he could have just said in the first place. All I wanted was just a normal level of customer service. But instead I got to hear stuff like I must be too poor if I can't afford an extra 20 dollars a month than what I agreed to and signed a contract for. It was an unusually poor experience, and I shouldn't have to feel responsible or pay extra for the mistake of a manager of a facility. I also did not get a contract for the new unit we were forced to agree to or anything in writing that they would honor the 20 dollars off for the first paid month.

They hide stuff out in the bushes and I’m sure they’re doing drug deals out there cause it’s exactly what it looks like so as a woman, it took me forever to be able to get everything out of storage because I didn’t wanna go there at night because I felt very unsafe.

I was issued two different outside storage units: the first one had items & garbage from a squatter, the decimd one had garbage & human feces in it! The intercoms don’t work, so when I have an issue, I have to drive back & forth to the office & wait to be waited on! I check in, I get the “welcome message” but when I check out, it tells me “welcome” again! I don’t even know if my units are ever secure!!!?

Others with very large, scary dogs walking up and down the aisles. INDOORS! Smell in the facility is awful. I emptied and closed my unit as soon as I saw a needle on one of the unloading carts. The facility does not pro-rate or give credit for moving out of a unit well before the next month is due.

Even after multiple mentions to the office let's get told that nobody's checking in so ain't that busy and I don't like their hours 9:00 in the morning I got s*** to do I could have two loads in by 9:00 in the morning if I can get into the storage facility signed up at 125 next thing you know it's near 200 wouldn't do this again

Maura P | Online Move InOverall, our experience was fine. The unit was clean and most of the staff was friendly and helpful much of the time. On occasion we had to interact with an employee that didn't seem thrilled or happy to help us, but it was not a chronic issue. My only real complaint was false or misleading information posted (or allow to be posted) online for the Nob Hill location. We drove from West Valley because it is posted online that "access" hours are from 5am to 10pm, with no further details. "Office" hours and "Access" hours are apparently the same. We got there within the 7 0' clock hour but were promptly asked to leave. We were standing right in front of our storage unit but told that we were not allowed to quickly grab just a couple of small boxes- this was upon our move out. My final verdict: yes, I would recommend Uhaul indoor storage (I have never rented an outdoor storage so I cannot speak to that). I would, however, encourage people not to trust the website and just call ahead of time to avoid wasting a trip (and gas) or be forced to drop everything and leave. The best thing the owner of this location can do is address any incorrect information online, regardless of whether or not they themselves posted it. Ensuring that customers aren't inconvenienced should be a priority.

Corinna D | First ImpressionsMy assigned storage room is furthest from the only working entrance. It is a huge building. There are many entrances, but they are “inoperable” and do not allow access. Staff told me it is because the building is not finished being built. The storage business hours are falsely displayed in many places and it is not 24 hour access, it isn’t even regular hour access. Storage hours are the same as office hours, but nobody including staff informed me of that. I understand if hours are different due to covid, however, ALL the signs in the building and online could be updated. It is false advertising and will be reported to the BBB. There were several available storage rooms that were much closer to the only door of access so why was mine placed so far from it. Some staff members were rather rude to tell me I could “just get storage elsewhere” when I expressed my concerns. I won’t recommend uhaul storage to anyone I know. Mike was the only person to help explain issues to me even though he was unable to help make it right. Basically, all staff told me to deal with it, or I could get storage elsewhere. Inconvenient location of the storage room within the huge building from the only service entrance. Falsely advertised hours of access to storage online and at the facility. Rude and unhelpful customer service.

I was charged over 130 dollars and treated like criminal.... I was lied too, both me and my sick girlfriend had to walk to the closes gas station since our vehicle ran out of gas on a different date... Both me and my family which is a big part of the selah -Yakima community will never rent from U-Haul again. I believe they are doing something completely unfair and wrong as they have also tried to bill me and charge my card for almost 600 dollars... which I did not authorize and will not authorize until court... you simple don’t treat customers like this especially Simone who rents several times a year. I hope they never treat anyone let alone a customer they way me and my girlfriend both where treated.
