Don’t bother calling the main office because they will not answer. I tried calling a good amount of times over the several months i was using this storage and you’re better off just making the drive to speak to someone. Apart from all the bs it took to get in touch with people, they are very helpful and nice in the office.

jackie r | First ImpressionsI came back after like 11 months to get my stuff, I got attacked by wasps that had a nest inside door ,I could not open my storage unit, cause someone messed up the door, finally after like 2 hours wait 2 uhaul employees force it opened, only for me to find out that my valuable stuff, was missing. someone broke in and took ,2 nail guns, circular and reciprocating saw, sander, drill, nails, screws, electrical wire, fishing poles, camping stuff, fireplace/heater, that is what I remember now, there took more than that

I move out on the 11th and dropped the card key off at hwy14 store with a sticky note with the unit number with on of the employee at the desk told them everything was moved out and ready for the next person. Couple days later I get a call saying I was late on the payment. I explained to the lady that I moved out on the 11th and I dropped the card off with the store and told them that I was moved out. I don’t understand how information does not get conveyed. Also had the same issue returning a truck and trailer at same location.

brandi j | First ImpressionsTheir is a serious rat infestation at this location I generally have pretty ok customer service but the 2 young guys I dealt with were a little rude I’ve been renting with U-Haul for years probably before they were born and pretty much know how it works they were bent on telling me I was wrong but couldn’t show me on paper that what they were telling me was facts as usual I proved them wrong please be more aware of what customers are seeing online so honoring those facts in store won’t be such a hassle

My wife contacted the facility and the manager was supposed to email or get back with us and all I got was another bill. The stuff I could salvage had German cockroaches infested. I’m so disgusted and I still owe for a month when I left the rest there bc I just can’t deal with nastiness And y’all have some nerve giving me a bill!!

I wonder (not really) if this facility would be so poorly maintained if in a "different area" of town. I REFUSE to store my items there. I canceled my contract and bought a larger unit from Henderson's (that I did not need) and paid 70.00 more for it-GLADLY. Your facility Sharon Lane is mere Exploitation and your organization should be ASHAMED. .

Verina J | Overall ExperienceThis location is in a VERY trashy place. I sat at the facility for about 45 mins trying to get in touch with someone to confirm my reservation and give me my unit. When I finally got someone from uhaul on the phone they told me I had to go to another facility 20 mins away to sign in and then back to this place to store my things. The guys working at the location I went to next, 1101 Highway 14, Lake Charles were absolutely rude. After an hour and a half I got checked in and went back to the storage unit and found the nastiest place. Their gates and not secure with holes all in them, they don’t even close all the way. No one is there to observe anything. There are rat traps all in the storage units. Then back to the Highway 14 location to drop my truck off. The man checking my truck in was so sweet. He said if I needed my physical receipt I could go in and wait. I said there is no way I’d walk back in there. I plan to have all of my stuff OUT OF UHAUL and somewhere else by the end of the month before I am charged again and they will NEVER have mine or any of my families business again.

Water was pouring out of the ceiling and when we moved things out water was still dripping from the ceiling as well as pouring out of my furniture as we moved it. I have made a claim on my homeowners insurance however, before anyone else rents that unit I would either warn them or fix the problem. The unit also did not have any lights. While moving out or in we would have to walk down the hall just to get the hall light to come on so we could see in the unit.

milton A | First ImpressionsI tried to get in to the climet control because we are yet agian displaced insurance quit paying and now we have a lawyer fighting them and my daughter got a truck for me and a free month rent coming from 70663 to 70601 and I was told it was paid and I won't owe agian till July we went there to get our dolly and push cart and couldn't get I'm so we went and loaded the 20 foot truck now it's full of my stuff and I was suppose to have it back yesterday and I can't put my stuff in the unit my daughter got or the ones I tried to get and when I called and told them about how bad it was they said they could not do nothing about it or give me my money back so now I'm sitting here with a truck full of furniture at a rv park with not a penny to my name and no where to put my stuff to turn in this truck plus there was some guy just chilling in his car I really have never been so disappointed in a place at all as this the unit that is in my daughter s name is Rachel plaster 3377076662 and unit ee04 that is where I was tring to get last night so my stuff would all be together but the other side of the storage place is nasty and has dead rats and none climes control I never moved it to any of them units sence Friday and Friday is when I needed to have my stuff in there and now it's Monday and I'm still here stuck

Everything that was salvageable was covered in dead roaches, everything else was covered in mold. We didn’t even have our boxes in storage for a month and a half, when we called to get help they told us it was our fault for not getting insurance and hung up. We had asked about insurance prior but was told it wasn’t needed. The entire unit had holes in the roof, and water damage everywhere. A month and a half of my furniture and personal belongings in storage cost me thousands. I would never recommend this facility to anyone.
ANDREW M | Overall ExperienceCustomer service is EVERYTHING. I went in on a Friday and made a payment. Prior to me making the payment I received an email stating that I had two weeks to make a payment before I would be locked out my storage. I made the payment way before that two week mark but a lock was still put on my unit. No one told me Friday upon making my payment that a lock was on my storage neither did they say that it would not be removed after I made my payment. The following Saturday when I went to the storage and saw there was a lock on the storage I immediately went to the highway 14 location and received the WORSE customer service ever. I went into the highway 14 location on that Saturday in hopes that I would be assisted with my concern and issue. Instead, I received horrible customer service from all three of the young men that was working that day. They were very smug and rude to say the least. As i am expressing my concern and how i think they were being unprofessional, the 4th guy, walks up with no uniform on says "Well I think their professionalism is just fine" with the biggest sarcastic smerk ever, and they all burst out in laughter. The whole shift seemed to be very immature and nonchalant with the problem that I had. Stating " oh well ma'am, all of my managers are in Houston and no one will be here to help you until Monday if she feels like going and make her rounds, so I don't know what to tell you." I witnessed this same unprofessional attitudes with the same guy, with another customer on the day that I made the payment. I asked for contact information to higher powers and was ignored. I finally left the building after numerous attempts to get treated with correct customer service. I was finally able to get into my storage on that following Wednesday, which is when I removed all of my things. Because you all do not deserve another dime of my money. My suggestion for you is to hire staff and or train them properly on customer service and how to conduct a business instead of acting like they are in a Frat House. I am very disappointed with UHAUL and took my business else where.
