All I needed to rent was a furniture dolly, but the website will not permit one to reserve a dolly for a particular date and time without also renting a truck, which I did not need. It took about half an hour on the phone to accomplish what should have taken just a couple of minutes online. The customer service person was unable to send me email confirmation and finally resorted to emailing me a screenshot of his screen detailing my order. Then, one can supposedly associate an order with one's account on the website; I tried this multiple times and got an error message every time. Therefore, when I needed to extend the rental period by a day, I had to spend a long time on the phone again. U-Haul needs to get its act together, technologically speaking.Medora V.

Worst experience yet again. This is now the 2nd time I have been told a different price when I arrived at the pick up location when I made my reservation. And I mean hundreds over dollars difference. Have had to call and complain multiple times. Poor customer service and false informationHOLLY S.

I left uhaul yesterday feeling horrible and it wasn't because of poor customer service towards me. I watched someone who was training he humiliated and treating terribly by the other employee. My boyfriend and I both left and couldn't stop talking about it all night. No way to treat a new employee. I would be quitting if I was him. Teach leaders to be better because that ruined my uhaul experience.Brooke S.

Somehow the rental return got screwed up and I was to rerun the trailer to 1 location in Bangor and the truck in a different location. I was not able to use the app to return the truck even though my location service were turned on on my phone. I got to the return location (a different location in Bangor at 330 and the man had already left so there was no one to help me). Heidi, the person who I ended up returning all the equipment to was spectacular. She went above and beyond to make the return work. People should ONLY go to Heidi's Bangor location. Her husband at the Ellsworth location was also amazing! Super helpful and kind.Kelly W.

Of the three staff members we interacted with, only one was friendly. The truck we were given had a headlight totally out, had the check engine light on and smelled of cigarettes. Elements of the dashboard were falling off. When we provided this information at the time we returned the truck, no apology was given. Instead, we were given the impression that we were to blame. Miscommunication between staff members left us sitting there waiting for someone to complete the checkout process while staff were resetting the truck for the next user. We had to check in on the status of the checkout before someone realized no one was actually checking us out.Jordan D.

This whole experience was a hot mess. The box was supposed to be delivered on Saturday but when my daughter called to find out when it would arrive, she was told that they didn't have a fork lift driver working so it wouldn't be delivered until Monday. They never bothered to call or email ahead of time to see about delivering it on Friday so she could have it over the weekend when the friends she had lined up could help. Then when they came back on Thursday to pick it up, they never set up a time with either of us and just showed up at a time she had run out to the store for more packing supplies. Luckily they called since there were no locks on it. Otherwise they would have just taken it away without knowing that she wasn't done. Then when it arrived in Harrisburg, a guy from Gettysburg called to let me know it would be there ok Sunday. But turns out he thought I was getting an empty one. Then he called again asking if it was under a different name. The name he gave me was a man's name and not at all close to mine. He said he'd call me back but never did. So on Sunday I called and got the main call center and the lady there said it would be there by 4:30. But I never got a notification saying it had arrived so I didn't go over because I didn't want to risk a trip considering it was close to their closing time. On Monday the guy called acting all offended because I never showed up on Sunday. I told him he'd never called me back! Still with a bit of an attitude, he wanted know when the earliest time was that I could get over there. Once I told him I'd check with my husband to see if we could go that night, he got all nice and said I could just come whenever I wanted, it wasn't a big deal. When we were doing the paperwork, the guy commented again about me not coming the day before. Saying he'd had to stay late and everything. And yet, he never bothered to call me on Sunday to see if/when I was coming. The disorganization of the whole experience was incredible! I was truly wondering if we'd even get the box and if it would actually be ours when we did get it. I think UHaul needs to give a lot more training for their employees on how to manage/process the boxes. I definitely won't recommend using this part of the UHaul services to anyone I know.Kathy D.

The staff at both pickup and drop-off locations were greatly hindered by malfunctioning U-Haul software, as were the online support staff. It took 2 weeks and 3 calls with U-Haul to get my U-Box shipped, since the software either incorrectly reported it as sent to the representative or did not allow the representative to submit the order at all. The app and site provide little info here, and reported my container as being in its original location until the day it arrived with no change in status. The staff were clearly trying their best, but the software requires improvements to speed, reliability, and basic functionality.TIMOTHY C.
Very nice and helpful folks working here. Knowledgeable about their services and very accommodating. I used their Self- Storage, climate controlled unit for 16 months and was extremely pleased with the ease of moving in and out of the facility. I was called about the reservation I made on line prior to going into pick up the trailer and when I arrived they said the trailer was buried and I couldn't rent it then she was going to send me to a different location to pick up a trailer I explained I had to be in Ellsworth by 1:30 and she just rolled her eyes very unimpressed with the service usually get good service at this location I think the lady I dealt with lacked customer service skills and motivationCURTIS E.

Truck was not ready despite being called the prior day saying it would be ready. Truck was parked in behind another truck and had to wait as there was only me person working. Windshield wipers were in terrible condition. Diving 16 hours in rain and snow was not easy with bad wipers.BRYAN K.

Everyone is always very friendly. It does seem like they could use some extra help as they are always very busy.
