The van road and handled great . The back up camera was great. The only issue I had was the windshield washer didn't work.

They have little carts so you don’t have to carry your heavy stuff all the way to your unit which is very convenient.

If anyone lives in The Bangor Maine area where there are several U-Haul dealerships, I would suggest coming to this one , on Washington Street, because of the friendly and helpful attitude of all the employees. This may stem from leadership from the manager , a woman with a perpetual smile and pleasant manner. My only suggestion would be to call in advance as early as possible to assure that the truck or trailer, etc., is available. Overall, I would rate this business as an A+

I was charged two times for the rental fee of 39.95 and a fee of 25.00 for cleaning and on top of that I just saw a bank withdrawal from my bank for 3.40 for what I have no idea as I did not receive an email about it, you just charged it without my permission!!!!! I want a refund of 39.95 for the double charge and and a refund for the cleaning for two reasons, one, I swept it out, it was clean when I brought it back and two, I was never informed that there could be a fee for cleaning if it wasn't clean??? I will not use this company again nor will I recommend it!!

I wish that there were a contactless way to pick up a trailer rental -- a "TrailerShare" equivalent to the "TruckShare" approach. That would make the process even more painless for my rental needs.

More counter help is needed. Individual transactions can take awhile so everyone waits forever. Needs to be managed better for efficiency.

I initially spoke with a younger guy who did a fantastic job making sure I understood all the expectations of renting the van, all while being very friendly/ personable. I was really impressed with him, and if I were just rating my experience with him/ renting the van, this would be a 5-star review. His coworkers however, dragged the experience down to a 2-star. Upon returning the van, I mistakenly passed the inspection area, and ended up parking the van back where I had originally taken it from. I then went inside, fully ready to ask if they would like me to bring the van back around to the inspection area, and the man by the counter rudely made a comment about me missing it (before I could even even ask). I asked despite his comment, and he responded impatiently, saying he would take care of it. Both him, and his coworker, (a woman by the last name "Ferguson," I believe), were very rude, and unprofessional during the exchange, practically rolling their eyes at me. I then tried to ask questions to make sure all of my billing info/ responsibilities were in order, and Ferguson kept saying "it'll be in your email," over the top of me. For me, renting a vehicle is a nerve-wracking experience; being mocked, and ignored, really amplified that. This experience left me feeling awful, and I hope you will hold your employees to a higher standard in the future. I will be looking elsewhere for my moving needs from now on.

Great costumer service and great people. Everyone has treat me really well in this location. The only bad part is the truck I received wasn't in the best condition. It needed some serious work on the brakes, steering and the cabin ceiling was coming off, a headlight wasn't working. It was a little bit stressful driving it. I let them know or them to be able to fix it.

After calling and being on phone for 30+ minutes, I was told this facility was "not maned" & rented the unit online.....had no prior experience with renting a unit....was not aware an access key would be needed....what a fiasco

It would help to have stronger inventory control at the telephone ordering center, the scheduling phone center and the individual offices. I contacted all the above entities in my search for a 10' truck in Maine. While the people I spoke with on the phone were helpful and kind, none could find an available 10' truck. So I reserved a 26' truck and spent a couple days wondering if my daughter could drive it. On moving day we arrived early to the Washington St, Bangor ME center. Greeted by Oliver Terrilli, we were surprised at how easily he found both a 10' truck and 3 cargo vans on his lot ready to go. He prepared corrected paperwork, suggested dollies that might help us. He was fast, efficient and friendly. We left with a nice cargo van which was large enough for our needs and easy to drive. Being our first time to use U-Haul, we had a lot to learn. Next time we rent, we will visit our local stores first. It's always easier when a customer can see the rep and the actual inventory on the lot. Nice location in Washington St, nice staff. Definitely will use again.

Dropped the truck off at the time I stayed then got called 2 hours later stating I didn't return the truck, had to call back and wait on hold for 39 minutes only to be hung up on. Then got a phone call again the next day stating I never returned the truck when they stated they never even looked for it outside. Poor experience from this location.

She was always available by phone, message response etc. A highly skilled moving company was recommended and moved items carefully from shipping containers to dry storage. I would highly recommend U Haul of Bangor and their staff.

The truck appeared clean. However, the steering wheel was absolutely filthy - actually sticky with grime. I wiped it with two baby wipes and they came away dark gray with filth. In the time of Covid, this is really unacceptable. The cargo area had chips of wood in it, some as big as my hand. Not a big deal to me, but I didn't want to get blamed for it not being clean. I certainly didn't move anything with chips of wood.

Was very very disappointed that staff does not wear masks in the store. Until pandemic is over in won't be returning. Tried to use the self check in option however it wouldn't take picture of my license meaning I had to go in at which point I discovered general manager not wearing a mask. We were separated by a table but still it seemed risky to not have staff wearing a mask.
