DAVID W | First ImpressionsI’ve been at Fremont storage for years. Not the ideal setup, but cheap. Prices have been raised, I think the last one made it too high. I told Stacy about a leak and she said she would tell the on-site guy about it so he could take a look. She didn’t. My unit was leaking and she didn’t even staple a tarp to the roof. Things kept getting wet, so I moved out. It took me longer than last month because of the rain. I got the feeling that as long as I was paying, everything was great for Uhaul. Well, I lost probably $1500 worth of stuff and I’ll have to feel clean some other items to save them. I think I should be refunded the last two months rent. Why am I paying rent if it’s leaking? If the issue was handled right away, I’m reasonable, I wouldn’t have left. Essentially, the purpose of that unit to me was to keep things dry. If it can’t be done, then I shouldn’t pay. It cost me a lot of time to move out. Look at the records, I was there many years before Uhaul came in. I do appreciate that my walkway was shoveled in the snow. Last year, I told these guys about water flowing over my lock from the roof. Again , these things happen… an ice jam. I think they were also slow to react to that situation as well. Fortunately., there was nothing coming inside at that time. I had a couple of instances where my lock was a block of ice. I had to return home for a propane torch to unfreeze it. I know it’s difficult to fix a roof during winter. This was in may. Where the water marks were before was where the water was dripping on move out day. I’m sorry that you guys didn’t react quickly enough for me to save my stuff. I would think you would at least process those refunds I requested. Good luck

To provide insight as to what Charles did, he worked with me and held my hand through the entire process of moving into the storage unit. He stayed after the closing time to help me, because I was coming from so far away. He was not afraid to call me to provide insight and work with my needs. He provided guidance and recommendations. Lastly, he was very kind and respectful.

Leonard & | Overall ExperienceMost of the units (not necessarily mine) have very transition lips to get into the unit. It is very off and probably turns away a bunch or people. I saw some of the steps up into some unit over 1 foot tall which does not meet ADA compliance for egress to the public.

Jim BI am only saying would not recommend this storage place because lots of my items got moldy in that unit. I had to throw away some things, including my awesome leather jacket that was completely covered in mold. I’ve had several outdoor storage units over the years and never once have my things got moldy unit they were at this place, and ironing father said the exact same thing. That happened to him as well and only at this place. Also, there was probably 3-4 occasions where the card machine to open the gate randomly didn’t work when I went there resulting in the gate not opening for me to go in to my unit. Makes no sense. So then I have to go and find help etc etc. super inconvenient when my car is full of items and I can’t get in because the card machine stopped working. That happened multiple times. Also my rate went up $30 in the year and a half I had a unit there.

Vaughn NGreat place to store things at Fremont storage I would tell everyone about your storage great price but it's sad I pay insurance on the storage I think people should receive a refund for that if you pay insurance on a storage for months should get it back. My opinion just saying.

Robert CHave the personel show up for store opening and make sure that when you book online all the supplies are in the truck as stated on line. When returning the truck, you want to know what your bill is. Not hear, your all set.

Tammy in the office took care of all my needs with renting a 10 x 10 unit and made arrangements for a van rental and a few weeks later a truck rental. Had a glitch with getting in the gate after hours one night, but called the number posted on the keypad and heard back from Stacy the GM in a few minutes and gained access. Would highly recommend this business to anyone needing storage or truck rental.

Their handling of the situation cost me money and valuable time. I will NEVER use online pick up of a U-Haul vehicle again and probably will never use U-Haul services again. The attitude of the personal REPRESENTING U-Haul was nothing short of appalling and down right negligent.

I wasn’t sure what size of unit I wanted to rent so she asked if I didn’t mind walking she would show me the units. I was able to rent just the right size for my needs. I accidentally left my license there and I received a call from her telling me she found my license which I didn’t even know I lost. What a nightmare when I’m in the middle of moving. She certainly helped meet throughout my visit and even after I left.

Brian MSmall quiet office. Elissa was terrific. Very patient and attentive with me as a first time renter. Instructions were clear and the whole sign in thing online was a little daunting at first, but I really liked it. I was on the road 25 years and was a bit skeptical at first. UHaul has done a good job there.
Leanne MI had a horrible time they where not open on the weekend so I had to use the 24/7 online and Pick up which was a nightmare I was at the for over an hour during drop off and pick up the online creat account was horrible. U need to get more ppl on the phones and at the locations this made my moving experience horrible I was moving into the late hours of the night bc I was stick there for an hour during up pick trying to reach ppl on ur phones then I couldn’t even get the account to come up when I dropped if off so that was even worse so I just locked the truck and out the key back inside the box and left since it was almost 10 at night
