This was my 4th location just to get the truck I ordered. CDA absolutely NOT helpful or Respestful- didn't give a dam. Both Hayden locations didn't have what we needed. We then drove an hour to pick up the 10' truck we originally wanted. By the time we started loading was 4 hours later later than planned. We were on a time line and the rest of the day getting ready was a late night and extremely stressful. The gentleman who helped us with getting our truck in Spokane was gracious, respectful and most kind. Thank you. Truly he saved the day. When we ordered the truck, I spoke with a representative several to.e and NEVER told to pick up trick within yhe hour when requested. I was told to come in anytime between 8-5, so we did. We came in at 2 pm to the CDA store. I have been to the CDA several times in the last 5 years. Never once was anybody personable or showed any signs of any job enjoyment. Just a paying job and not caring one way or another. I have come in to purchase supplies several times and not an engaging encounter. I do not plane to ever go there again. Was quoted for pick up at a different location in Spokane Valley. Was told an hour before pickup that the store had changed. The uhaul would not move their truck over to the originally quoted location for me, so I had to drive out of my way to pick it up making moving day much longer and more frustrating. Would not recommend uhaul for moving needs - heard last minute switch ups like this is common.Garrett J.

My vehicle was supposed to be picked up at another location and had I not called the day before I would have gone to the wrong location. Also I reserved 24 moving pads and I had to drive more than 6 miles away to pick them up at another location. An inconvenience and added miles that should have been credited back to me. The communication of your company is terrible. and I would never recommend Uhaul to anyone ever because of this.Mitchell F.

We ordered our 10 in uhaul the day before during store hours. We purposely tried to schedule as early as possible to beat the temp of 104. When we got to the location and tried to get access via phone we received a message that we had to wait until the store opened. In a panic we called several numbers that said they had a 40 min wait. We eventually had to be transferred to another location and received a bigger truck but we lost an hr of decent weatherchauncey J.

The man helping me was extremely helpful and professional, and help me through navigating the issues caused by the person that took my order when I reserved my Truck...I was supposed to have gotten a STORAGE UNIT for 30 days at the same location as where I was dropping off the truck...the man told me there was no reservation made, and he had NON available...(NEGATIVE experience)...but the man made couple of phone calls, and found me another U-Haul location that had spare units, made the call to validate availability, and gave me directions. Vehicle looked like it hadn't been washed in months. Tow/haul default setting for transmission should be set to off. It isn't. Makes the box van a voracious gas hog. Will select competitor if ever needing a rental truck. (PS Vehicle reserved one day prior wascanceled upon arrival to pick vehicle up. Not good customer service. Derrick Davis was very personable, we had an excellent experience. He is the best at what he does. Please promote him. I've never had that great of an awesome service from greeting us on walking in to the details, reminders and just took excellent care of us. People like him make company shine!!! And because of him I will definitely consider coming back even if it's just moving my couches to different locations not necessarily fully moving. He's amazing! I request he is recognized and Kudos to that young man who will it far in life because of his optimistic positive attitude & thriving for excess helping others.Alla D.

My experience was amazing! I did the online self check in which was very easy to follow. After using it to start my move, I quickly realized I would need more time due to me getting the keys to my new house much later in the afternoon. I called Uhaul and requested for a new drop time for the following day and without hesitation they got me all figured out!Marie C.

We were at the wrong address, a quarter mile from the correct drop off address. The person who accepted the truck for drop off FAILED TO LET US KNOW we were at the wrong address. He told us we would be refunded for dropping off a day early and for the unused furniture pads ...still wrapped in original packaging. He told us he would email the receipt and that the refund would be to the credit card. Instead, we were charged AN ADDITIONAL $32. And there was a 50 - 60 minute phone queue to try and remedy this. After DAYS OF Frustrating misinformation, an attempted extortion by the 2 man crew we had contracted with THROUGH UHAUL, and CONSTANT TELEPHONE hand offs (4 different people could not help me) and I would have to start all over. We will NEVER use or recommend Uhaul again.Nancy C.

The appliance dolly I was supplied was not usable at all, the strap was so frayed it would not hold one appliance, had to lift every appliance by hand quite a scam, renting our a non-working appliance dolly. When making the reservation I specifically asked the U-Haul Store located at 8805 N Division. Spokane, WA if I could pick up at the 21 W 3rd, Spokane, WA and drop off at the 8805 N Division location she said yes no problem, when I arrived to pick it up that when I was informed of no I can't do that, so much for the convenience of U-Haul making it easier oncustomers. Plus I'm no real comfortable with 20 somethings Taking photos of my drivers license and credit cards with their personal cell phones. So now I'm stuck all week watching my bank account. I was told on the phone that l had reserved a 5x 10 heated unit on the ground floor . I am elderly and had friends to help me move my few belongings into it after l sold my home in Spokane . I asked if Uhaul knew of anyone l might hire to move my belongings as a back up plan in case my friends were unavailable to help me . Next thing you know l have multiple texts from moving companies asking for my location and a timeline . I called Uhaul office back and told them l did not order movers . Was told that I must call a number and cancel it .... l explained that l did not order it so why did l have to cancel it . I spent part of the next day from 6 am until 4 pm calling the number given .... no one ever answered that phone . I finally gave up . Called Uhaul in Downtown Spokane and complained about the screw up and was told l did not have to call and cancel afterall . When l got to the place and checked in at the office the manager told me that it was not really a ground floor unit after all ( he said that is just what we call it ) but down long corridor and up Five flights of steps ! I told him that maybe he meant five steps ? Yes ( was actually 9 steps ) but a ground floor unit is on the ground floor not on a second floor with a low ceiling height all humans over 6 feet could not stand up Inside . No elevator in the building either . So requiring friends to Unload on to cart push down long hallway .... up the stairs and hand carry all to the locker some Twenty feet from the landing ( no carts up there ! ) Also on top of all the other BS there was 20 in. step up into the unit . Bottom line Is in no way was this a ground floor unit !!!!! The check in process took about a half hour because l had to give my information three times to the manager because of a problem he was having entering it into the computer . Once l had waited so long just to check in my friends ( soon to be former friends ! ) are out in the snow waiting for me to be done . Had l seen what l had reserved there l would have cancelled and gone elsewhere . Worst of all .... THIS IS NOT A GROUND FLOOR UNIT !!!!! No way no how should be called one ! Is a bait a switch . And to make matters worse instructing a number moving companies to text me asking for directions to my location when it was the fault of the company’s employee in the first place and then it was my problem l was supposed to unravel on my own . I was stuck with trying to find another place to store my stuff or forge ahead with people there with my crap in their truck ready and willing to help . Hardly of the mind to think was a good idea to hope to find an alternative considering it was starting to snow pretty hard at that point and all my boxes were getting wet even tho my house was only 8 mins drive the check in took so long that all cardboard boxes were very damp and squishy by the time they got in the unit . I am 74 yrs old and now l have to return to Spokane in the Spring to get my things out of your crappy place .. Was a very trying experience for me and now l have to pay to get my stuff relocated to another place ...., to say l am disappointed is putting it mildly !!!!! I would not recommend your company to my worst enemy .... least while to friends and family !!!!!! I was put on the 2nd floor. I was told no other unit was available.even though I am 70 and a diabetic. My check bounced and I was locked out. I paid $221 to unlock it only to find water leaking inside on the floorboards. Then I missed the step right outside the unit and fell and hit my head on the cement behind me. The only problem I have is that this month i got a text message saying to.come in and pay my bill when I should have been on auto pay. Well the person who had helped me didnt out it on auto pay and I had specifically told him that I needed the auto pay because I have loans out and want to make sure it is one of the first payments to be pulled out. Well when I went to go correct this the guy ended up charging me and left me broke until next month... We were traveling from Boise Idaho to Spokane Washington. We got to McCall Idaho for lunch and could not shut the drivers door on the uhaul truck because the door latch was stuck in the up position. I had to tie the door shut which was EXTREMELY inconvenient. We drove 259 miles trying to keep the door closed enough to continue to Spokane. If that had not happened I would rate the experience higher, however, I got the run around from the Spokane location about any kind of discount for the unconvinced this caused. So the customer has complete faith everything is ok. Not leaving with out signed paper work on rental till next day email. After $$$$$ was passed and no receipt? I had a full 20' U-haul truck that I need to store. The manager assured me that the unit he assigned to me would hold all of my goods. This was not true and I had to re-load my truck and move to a larger unit.This was quite an inconvience to me.
