Staff were very friendly at check out. Staff at check in were not. I called ahead before return and was asked to bring the truck in 30 min before it was due. I hurried to do this in respect of the staff closing procedures. In order to make it in time and return at 1/4 tank, I took the truck to the gas station, put in 1/4 tank and then drove up the hill to the shop. After dropping off my keys, the staff member was short with me and told me I won't Ben getting a credit because I didn't leave it with 1/4 tank. By the way, the truck had less than 1/4 tank when I picked it up. The staff member continued to argue with me until ultimately walking away. My cell phone was dead and the power was out in our neighborhood. I went inside to see if I could use a phone to have my wife bring me some car keys. My car was parked at the shop, but I had no keys. I decided against going to get them so I could gas up and return the car at the time of staff's preference. I could not reach the attention of any staff so I had to leave. I walked about 4 miles in the dark to where my spare keys were and then walked another 4 miles back to my car. I went home and my wife was sobbing because she didn't know where I was or how to reach me. Man, the credit I believe I deserve would be nice. Some nicer staff (more like the check out staff that morning) would have gone even further. Not a positive experience.

HAD TO WAIT IN LINE TO GET THE KEY AFTER CHECKING IN ONLINE. NO SIGNAGE FOR JUST KEY PICKUP.

We had reserved a truck at the Yelm location and they were very rude to myself and daughter after we asked if we could do a one way to make it easier for us because we knew how late we would be getting back. They said No that we needed to step outside and call Traffic, We told them that it was fine and I was told to call Traffic, while on the phone with Traffic I was told that Larry wouldn't give us a truck anyways and the lady I was on phone with heard this guy tell me this. She than instructed him to have Larry call into Traffic, we waited for 35 minutes outside in our car no one came out of that house, I got a call from Traffic saying that the truck had a check engine light on which was never mentioned to us when we first arrived which everyone was there and they we're going to let us rent the truck. This location is very unprofessional and issues need to be handled they are all very old and not nice at all. I had my 2 year old with me as well and this is experience was awful, I never want to experience this ever again. I will never ever recommend UHAUL after our experience. We missed the time to get our daughters keys to their first apartment and we had to wait until the next morning to get her keys and unload than turn around and Rush to get the truck back for the next customer.

Hire desk agents who are more personable and who learn how to talk to a customer. I felt rushed and was made to feel like a bother rather than a customer. Truck had dirty windshield, front and dirty side mirrors.

Good customer service inside the store. Didn't get my email for inspection until after I left the lot. A gentleman hooked the trailer to my truck. Was explained that the wheel handle would loosen. Until I arrived to the other Uhaul lot, I was explained that the wheel handle was warn down and should have been changed. Trailer was clean on the inside.

This was my third time renting from this location, and it has been a hassle-free experience every time.

Van had non working turn signal and filthy inside windshield. Had to wait an hour to get bulb replaced and all they did was reimburse me for my extra mileage to return and get it fixed. I asked simply for $25 for my extra time (1.5) hrs but clerk didn't know how to make it happen. Poor staff training and the van should have been checked before I rented. Will use another company next time

The drop off location in my contract was changed without notifying me. I went to the wrong location and waited around for 30+ minutes only to learn that it was the wrong location on the wrong side of town.

Not sure where I should start but I guess at the beginning when I made my reservation I asked for a 20-foot . I ended up with a 15 foot truck. So this was already off to a bad start and the fact that it was 25 miles away from where I had originally made my reservation for. I was headed for Portland to pick up 2 storage that I had won on an auction I figured this was a one-day trip. So not only did I not get a big enough , I had to drive 25 miles out of my way to pick up the truck that was 5 feet shorter than what I originally wanted. TimeWise that sent me back even farther. By the time I picked up the truck and got back to the original storage units it was 4:30 in the afternoon thank heavens the manager of the storage unit was an angel and let me stay to unload the unit even past the time they were closed. I ended up leaving a couch a loveseat a chair and numerous other things behind because I did not have a big enough truck. I finally get it loaded and I'm ready to pull out of there at 1:30 a.m. I decided to stop at the casino in Ridgefield on the way just to rest a little and ended up locking the keys in the Uhaul. I'm thinking okay I'm paying for insurance and paying for the truck rental let's call roadside assistance. I should be back on the road in an hour or so, well that was not the case. 6 hours later I was finally back on the road again. When I called roadside assistance and they said that somebody would be there within the hour at the hour and a half mark I called them back and found out that the tow company was coming from the other side of Portland and was still 40 miles out I'm thinking I'm in Washington why would they call a tow company on the other side of Portland. I asked the lady at the roadside assistance why they didn't call somebody closer so she said she would I get a call 15-20 minutes later from a gentleman from the second towing company and he says that he sorry but they can't make this call because there is something wrong with the billing but if I wanted to pay for it myself to the tune of $342 that he could be there in 15 minutes. I was flabbergasted I did not have the money to pay him and I did not feel that it was my business to pay him. So I called roadside assistance back and ask them when they were going to send somebody I'd already been there for close to four hours and I was cold and tired I had worn shorts and a t-shirt and I had a light jacket on so literally freezing. The third tow company calls me and he says that he will be there within 45 minutes he was there right about 55 minutes and I was on my way 20 minutes later.. about another half hour of driving I decided I needed to pull over I was tired and having a hard time focusing so I pulled over and rested and then continued on a little later. I was not feeling well and it was not getting any better when your employee called and asked when I was going to have the truck back I told her I was in the process of trying to unload it that I was not feeling good and I would get it there as soon as I could she called me the next day and I had just found out I had tested positive for covid-19. The employee that called me was very rude and condescending and I just was not in any shape to deal with her or the truck. I rested for a few days. I felt better and got the truck returned as soon as I was able to drive it in there. and now I get an invoice for $262 that I owe. I'm not sure how the mileage thing works but I don't feel that I should have had to pay for any extra mileage I also don't feel that I should have to pay insurance on it for the truck was just sitting here in the driveway. I feel these charges are excessive. also this is to inform you that the card I used to pay for the initial rental was not mine. I had permission to use it for that but do not charge anything else on that card because you do not have permission to do so and neither do I. all in all I do not feel that I would refer anybody to rent a U-Haul truck at this point end I will definitely look at other Alternatives and other rental places before using your company ever again. The balance that you say owing of $262 I will have to make payments on that and I can't start that until after November 1st. Do you have any questions I can be reached at 360-660-4580. The size of the units are not as stated. They have low points and odd shapes making it impossible to get some items in them. If I rent a 15 foot truck you should have a unit to fit that cubic feet inside a unit. The stairs to the unit went up about 9 steps. The hall then went about 5 steps forward, then down 3 steps. Then forward about 6 feet, then back up 3 steps. That hall is treacherous especially for someone with mobility issues carrying heavy household objects. My reservation for for a ground floor unit. I was issued a different unit by the clerk, so they do not appear to be able to read a reservation. They one thing they did right was be polite and issue 2 small units free to make up the difference. It was very difficult to access the facility because their is only one street side access point and it was in use by someone. I had to wait for them to unload. I had to nose out into 4 lane traffic to back in. Dangerous. There was a rat poison bait box inside one of the units. Is my stuff safe from infestation?

With the exception of one staff member, everyone there was very helpful, supportive, and hospitable. There was a gentleman working outside (I think he was checking in returned vehicles and overseeing the lot) who I felt was condescending and made me feel stupid. The friendly people at the counter directed me outside after finishing payment and registration, and told me my truck number. I had my key, and went out to find it. I (wrongfully) assumed that my truck would logically not be one of the blocked in trucks in the lot, seeing as how I had just paid and was ready to leave to start my move. I couldn't find my truck, since I was just checking the front row of them. In my mind, why would I get a truck key for a truck that I couldn't get out of the lot? The trucks were parked in about a 6 x 3 setup. Mine happened to be a truck trapped in the middle of them. I tried to get assistance from this male staff member who was outside, and without even looking up from what he was doing, told me it was right there, and he seemed frustrated that I was so inept and couldn't complete the simple task of finding my own truck. He obviously didn't feel like being much help, so I looked harder. It was then that I found my truck, blocked in, in the middle of this rectangle of trucks. How does it make sense that my truck would be trapped in by the others? You just gave me the key expecting me to pull off of the lot. And this guy was making me feel dumb for not being able to find it? There was a family also searching for their truck as I finally found mine. This male staff member seemed oblivious and/or apathetic to both the plight of this family as well as my own struggles. I got into my trapped-in truck, as this lost family realized that their truck was the one blocking mine in. I don't blame them for this issue though. That male staff member should have cared and been perceptive enough to realize that it was taking an inappropriately long time for two sets of customers to find their rigs, and came over to help us. Even if he thought we were idiots, you're in a customer service business. After getting my truck out of that puzzle-box, I pulled it around to the loading area. I should also mention that this was the same guy who escorted me to my new storage space. En route on foot, he asked me which unit we was mine. I didn't know. He commented on how it made him worry that (or something along those lines) I didn't even know what number unit I had. Sir, I had JUST paid. For a unit that I only signed up for because your associates had offered me a free first month if I did. Ok, I agree, I should know what unit I had just rented. But you didn't know either, and you were the staff member ESCORTING me to that very unit. You didn't know either, and I felt it was very inappropriate for you to have commented on that to me. If I'm a customer, and I'm not doing harm, you don't let those opinions out in a blaze of glory in your attitude towards us. It made me feel bad and not want to work with you anymore. Overall, my uhaul experience this time was pleasant, and I was really happy to have those services available in my community. My experience with this one staff member shouldn't inhibit other people from patronizing this uhaul's services. I wasn't even going to say anything, but Uhaul just emailed me and asked me to fill out a survey about my experience. So, I'm just trying to be honest. I would definitely use this specific Uhaul facility again. I'll just stay away from this one grumpy guy. Maybe he was having a bad day or something, but I'm already stressed out from the move. Please don't add to that stress.

Very friendly and helpful staff. This facility has a very small parking/loading area, but this never posed a problem with us, and we accessed our storage unit very regularly. The small loading zone was always empty and available for us to park and load but I could imagine a scenario where it would be too small for more than one car or especially more than one U-Haul truck.

This Uhaul storage is secure, heated, and somewhat well lit. My only complaint was no lights in the unit itself, and the hallway lights are on a timer that is way too quick to shut off the lights.

The only thing I encountered in 2 months of storage unit rental was a lackadaisical attitude concerning the big main sliding doors to the storage building. They were never open and ready at start-up.
