You texted that if I returned the handtruck before 5-PM I wouldn't be charged an extra day. I texted back that I would drop everything off by 5PM. When I got to the store Sherwood I was told I was charged another day because I didn't respond to a phone message and that the text message was a robot message that non one monitored. We were originally directed to drop off the truck at 11611 SW Waldo Way, Sherwood, OR 97140. After arriving at the location with a locked gate and calling the number we were instructed to call we got no answer and I left a voicemail, we wait 30 minutes. I tried calling again and got no answer. We then brought the truck to this location, not wanting to simply leave the truck on the side of the road. The employee at this location told us we could not drop it off at this location without incurring a $500 to $3k fee, even after we explained what happened at the other location. The employee said they were unable to help us. We called the pick up location, they said they were unable to help. We finally called the regional traffic control number and they were able to change the location. I do understand the logistics is complicated, but we were essentially told we were out of luck and our options were pay an exorbitant fee to safely drop off the truck or leave it unsecured on a road by a locked gate.Alex F.

The people that helped me were great. I was a bit disappointed in UHaul finding out that the location was open on Thanksgiving. I would appreciate if the company gave it's employees the day off. The U-Haul rep at the counter was gossiping with her coworker for an entire minute as I stood at the counter waiting for them to acknowledge that I was there. Additionally, the equipment had a horrible smell of urine in it and the trailer leaked all over my belongings. I am not satisfied with my experience and will look elsewhere for my moving needs in the future.MATTHEW H.

Did not have a truck available sent me to another location. Tried to Jip me on the gas tank situation. Luckily I took a picture and had proof. There is one employee at Sherwood location that ended up speaking up for me and I thanked him because honestly everything about the whole experience was down right awful from uhaul. 1) Cancel appointments when parts are not in. Do not let customers show up for appointments when you don't have their parts. 2) Managers shouldn't lie. I called the manager personally before arriving for my second appointment and she said my parts were in. They were not so I had to drive across town to get my parts. 3) Managers shouldn't ignore customer complaints where they are legitimate. This location and manager are the worst.Susan (schedule) W.

Uhaul in general has really upped their game. For years they were known for their crappy equipment and lackluster service. Not anymore. This is a first-class operation with a staff to match. I used to call Uhaul last, now I call them first. One thing that would help is to designate which trucks have ramps. I moved a refrigerator and freezer not knowing I didn't have a ramp (until I got to where they were located). We got it done but not without some damage to the appliances. Had I known I didn't have a ramp, I would have rented the next size up. Overall, an excellent experience. Particularly impressed by the friendliness of the staff.RICHARD PAUL G.

When I picked up the rental truck, Amanda Wyland, who is the store General Manager, was the person who did the check out. Amanda was rude and condescending. The point of confusion for me was the requirement to upload a photo of my drivers license to U-Haul before I picked up the rental truck by using an internet link sent to my cell phone. I don't have a phone that links to the internet, so am not able to perform that task. I called U-Haul customer service the day before and explained this and was reassured this was not a requirement and I could provide my license at the counter during pick up. Amanda Wyland disagreed. She told me U-Haul customer service 'didn't know what they were talking about', she queried about why my phone didn't send photos over the internet, then she said she would 'do me a favor this time' and proceeded to photo my license and upload it. I have been a U-Haul customer for many years and this is the first time ever experiencing such lousy customer service and such a rude person. It is unbelievable to me that Amanda Wyland is a GM (or maybe she thinks U-Haul has too customers. I'm being facetious). I highly recommend you replace her or re-train her (I'm being serious). On a positive note, both of the employees who helped me when I returned the truck at about 5pm the same day were excellent (I wish now I had gotten their names). They both helped U-Haul retain a customer. Thank you for asking me to provide feedback.Mike K.

When I showed up to pickup the equipment they had given my truck to another customer and did not have any equipment for me so they sent me to another location but did not confirm it it was going to be ready so then I had to call customer service and they told me to go to yet another location so it wasn't until the next day that I was able to get the truck which delayed everything by a full day - it was NOT a good experience.JENNY A.

We reserved a truck in Sherwood, but were told the morning of the move that the truck wasn't there. We ended up having to drive to Gresham (1hr each way). I was promised a $50 refund and 50 free miles. I have yet to see either one of thoseâ€¦â€¦..? Lisa BinghamTRACY LEE R.

This location and the people there are terrific. I rent from them regularly, and will go out of my way to use their location, even when others are closer to where I need to go. HOWEVER, I tried to use the corporate ONLINE PICK-UP on Sunday because I needed the truck before office hours. The ONLINE PICK-UP system is HORRIBLE!! I placed my order a few days prior to Sunday - this part went fine: I entered my information, my credit card, and my photos of my drivers license. So far so good. On Saturday, I received a text asking me to enter my drivers license. I thought this was odd since I'd already done that when I placed my order, but OK, did it again. On Sunday when I arrived and fired up the app, I was asked AGAIN for photos of my drivers license! AGAIN! I entered the photos, and then it asked for my credit card AGAIN! When I finally accessed the key and got into the truck, I had to enter the mileage and fuel level - fine, makes sense. Then they asked for photo verification. Minor comlaint: if you're going to ask for a photo for verification, why do I need to enter the information by hand as well? Pick one method so I can move forward. Speaking of moving forward, I tried no fewer than a dozen times to upload the picture of the mileage and fuel, clearing the old photo and retaking it - over and over again. The system simply refused to upload the photo, and therefore would not allow me to the next step in the process, so I could not complete my check in! Furious does not begin to describe what I was feeling. I was on a timeline, and this system had already held me up by 40 minutes. Fortunately, at this point one of the office staff arrive 20 minutes early for his shift. I asked him to review what I was doing and he confirmed that I was doing everything per the instructions. He was nice enough to ope the office early, check me in, and get me on my way. I cannot express strongly enough that if you are going to offer an online check-in service for off-hours pick-up it should, I don't know - WORK!?!?! What a MISSERABLE experience.SCOT S.

I was a little confused about having to arm and disarm the security on my unit. I did not realize I had to enter a code until I tried to access my unit a few days after check-in and an alarm went off. That was the only small issue I've had, and it was clarified when I asked about it at the front.
