Unit was ready when I arrived; however, I should have received a free lock according to the online check in process, and I did not. Thankfully I had one with me. I was also unable to access the rent center to ask about the lock because all doors were locked.
MICHAEL K | Online Move InUnit had roaches and spiders both live and dead. I was unable to take things home because I didn’t want the roaches to travel home with me. In addition, there was barely had onsite staff, I usually had to go down to uhaul on Brundage and Union when i had an issues.

Stacie E | Overall ExperienceI got a storage unit and when I got to the facility where they kept the units, the unit I rented had a lock on it. When I called the number they had to reach the property manager. When they couldn’t reach him, they called someone else that was higher up. He called me on a work cellphone and said that he couldn’t do anything until the property manager is contacted. I was obviously upset and told him he needed to figure something out because my husband was coming with a truck and our belongings. He called me back and he was able to transfer the unit to another unit that was available. This new unit didn’t have a lock on it. After the experience and talking to my husband I cancelled the reservation and requested a refund since we were not going to use the facility. We noticed that some of the units were being lived in as well. Due to the previous unit having a lock on it, noticing some people staying in their unit and the overall lack of security, and the area, we unfortunately won’t being using this facility in the future.

They had me do the run around …the storage units are always getting breaking into. They have a watchmen there and he doesn’t even do nothing about it !!!!when I went to get my stuff out of storage there was somebody already breaking into one of the storage unit also …. that place sucks every three months or so they jack up my rent !!!

Also it’s hard to contact personal by phone after 5. Had to drive over to the store which closes at 7 to let them know I would have the storage emptied and clean before 12 noon

Eddie C | Overall ExperienceI’m not having the store and the storage unit ready they made me wait and tell her it was 110° outside to unload my truck of course I couldn’t do that so I had to stay another night in a hotel. Then I got there the next morning at 7 AM and again the storage unit wasn’t ready to come back at 9:30 wasn’t ready went back at 10:30 and finally got a unit and then almost killed myself trying to unload it and get 110° weather. So that was my experience so I can stay another night in order to unload it this morning early

ADRIANA S | First ImpressionsMy storage was broken into I wasn't informed about it at all. When u haul did call me you guys asked for a payment. I didn't find out it was broken into untill the next month. I was told I didn't have to worry about anything and they would call the police and file a claim. They never called the cops but they did file a claim. On the claim it was reported that nothing was stolen. I had to call the cops file a report list all the missing stuff and I still have not been contacted by a claims adjuster.
Roberto C | Overall ExperienceI had a mixed bag of experiences with my nearly 5 year long association with U-Haul. At times, I became so frustrated that I was actually suicidal. Other times, I was astonished by their generosity and humanity. Without going into details, let me just say that changes need to be made in the way that customers routinely get shuffled into your reservation cue. Every call, no matter what phone number that is dialed, goes to your sales force. This is predatory in it's nature. After someone has already become a customer, and they require in depth assistance, for you to then try to "up sell" that person on something they may already have purchased or do not need, that doesn't help you sell one extra dime of products or services. For me, it became a labarynth of frustration and desperation. All I needed, 99% of the time, was to speak to someone at the facility to which I was dialing. Calls to a specific location should be answered by that location, not someone in the other side of the country, or other side of the world. Which, thank God, U-haul hasn't started doing. As for me, U-Haul started out by overcharging me and then taking the truck away along with all my belongings. This didn't get resolved for about a week. It was almost five years ago, so I can't recall how long it took, but it was awhile. And during this time I became so enraged and despondent that thoughts of suicide and homicide did more than just cross my mind. But then, after dozens of calls to all parts of the U-Haul carousel, I was finally connected with a problem solver, whose name escapes me. When this happened, everything fell into place and I ended up being a customer for nearly five years. And U-Haul was very generous with me then. Now we skip to current events. Time for me to move out of storage. Many months of back rent due and no money in my pockets. One person from U-Haul was there. The only person who cared. Martha. So in short, less corporate structure and telephonic runaround and more people like Jose Olmedo and Martha at the local level .

Oscar C | First ImpressionsI was not happy with the security of the facility,in the storage walls are to low that can cause a theft in another person's storage like it happen to me,I ended up moving to unit #343, because storage I was end before, some nasty looking ghetto as black people on the right of me slipped threw the top of the wall ransacked my storage and stole over at lease $800 worth of items and nothing was done or was there any video able to look at and I feel there over priced.
