The mobile pick-up process wasn't well explaine at all! Amen that there was a person there to actually do the rental process for me. The system kept texting me to do an on-line check-in prior to rental, but when I clicked the link it said session expired. The return process was frustrating with the app - - on Step 4 I kept getting internal server error and had to start over. STAFF AT THIS LOCATION WAS OUTSTANDING. Cut my leg open upon entering the van for the 1st time on the seat that was pushed all the way back. It was the under part of the seat. Had to ask 3 times for a bandage due to blood 🩸 dripping down my leg. They didn't seem to care. Blood was all over my shoe and down my leg. Finally got a bandage but want offered a tissue or anything to wipe up the blood. No concern at Lucky it was a minor cut. But due to it be a leg cut it was bleeding a lot when it happened as many minor cuts do 1st aide training should be installed in all employees and hazardous materials. Blood is considered to be a bio hazard. I'm sure you would NOT want blood on your store floor. There was sufficient lighting in the hallway but no lights inside my unit. I could see well enough from the light shining in from the hallway as long as I had the door wide open. Luckily, my storage neighbors didn’t need to do anything with their units whenever I was there, because my door completely blocked their doors. Employees were all great! Five-stars there! Uhaul's national policies and record keeping are an absolute mess though. Was charged for an extra day when Uhaul's national hotline said they would add this on. Was charged for a â€œrefill feeâ€ on the gas tank. The gas tank was half-full when I picked it upâ€”I have a receipt to confirm this. It was filled to 5/8 when I drove it up for return. They charged me because it wasn't 3/4 full. Cost 30 dollars for gas and 40 dollars for the extra day. The return location said only the national hotline could help, and the national hotline said only the location could help. Five stars for this location and its employees. 0.5 stars for uhaul's current circular accountability.John T.

I returned the trailer after hours and tried to use the Uhaul app to verify the trailer had been returned. It didn't work. I was charged for a second day. Called and was refunded for the additional charge once they reviewed camera footage on when the trailer was returned. I appreciated that the billing error was corrected. The lock that I purchased from them was bent however that was not their fault and they can’t control that sort of thing. Pretty easy to pick up trailer. My fault, I did not open the trailer to inspect the inside before leaving. There was debris from plants all over the floor. We had to sweep it out prior to loading. I picked up a regular pick up truck to move some boxes. My husbands clutch went out mid-move of my mother-in-law and we needed to get something quick as he was sitting on the side of the road. When I checked out the car the attendant mentioned the gas gauge was set at 3/8 tank of gas - as that is standard. If I didn't return it with the same amount I was going to be charged $7 per gallon. I took the guys word for it and didn't look closely at the gas gauge until I was sitting in the truck while my husband unloaded. I realized the truck was NOT at 3/8 of tank but closer to 1/4. I drove a total of 8 miles but to be safe I put in 2 gallons of gas. When I returned the truck I was emailed my receipt and realized that my $30 rental was now $58! I looked at the receipt and was charge for 4 gallons of gas! I called the location the next day and said it was an error. That the truck was at 1/4 of a tank when I got it, I only drove 8 miles AND I put in 2 gallons of gas which I didn't even use for the 8 miles! The guys said I was wrong and they would have to charge me. That's when my husband got on the phone and tried talking to the guy who instantly said that they always take a picture of the gas gauge when taken out and returned. He also said I should have done the same thing?! Of course, once the guys started looking at my rental he noticed that none of the workers took "any photos" so he would now have to go with my word since there was no photographic proof. So I eventually got my refund of $28 back. Personally, I feel this is some gimmick that they are trying to pull on people in hopes that no one looks closely at their receipt! Should have told me that there was an option larger than 10x15 before I unloaded half of a 26 ft truck. Especially when I said I have a full 26 foot truck to unload. It wasn't until I walked up to the office and said I need another 10x15. But great for upselling. Unfotunately, I will go somewhere else next time unless I am refunded for one of them. The ground before entering the unit section was very rough pavement making it difficult to use a dolly. I left over 15 messages and could not get anyone to call me back. This location need to be under new management and staff needs to be retrained by someone who cares about customer service. The national customer service was amazing and I appreciate their support but the location was rude when I was in person and did not answer emails or voicemails. After I moved out they did not do a walk through until 10 days later. Someone moved junk into my unit. Does not make the facility feel secure. Luckily I used a professional moving company and had evidence that everything was removed from my unit. No one from the location called to inform me about things in the unit. I will be leaving this review on Google where I'm in the top 10% of reviewers and have hundreds of thousands of views of my reviews an photos. I had a terrible experience and so much of it was poor management and decisions made by Uhaul Staff, especially at this location. I was supposed to drop off and store at the Aloha location. They would not reserve a unit over the phone and when I arrived and waited in line, he told me I can get a unit in Tigard. By this time traffic was bad to get there, once I did, there was confusion and it took time to get my Truck and AT figured out. First when arriving and attempting to park and go in, I was told by outside staff to go down to the lower parking lot to take my car off, but this was before I had checked in. Once I went down there I had no idea what to do or where to go or how to do this as there is no designated area . When i came back up then i was given better instructions from staff inside. I was given a unit too small. They also required me to back up my trailer to park it which took extra time because I'm not experienced and staff kept telling me to wait before I could park because drivers and vans kept coming in. Then it took even MORE time with staff Making me wait for other cars and trucks to come in (which i was in the way of I guess?). He could have had those later customers wait, especially because then this caused a big line to form before me to get my actual unit. By this time I did not have enough time to move my stuff into too small of a unit. I requested more time because of the mixups, I work at night and cannot wake up early to deal with this but now am forced to go and finish this process at 8am so I can get the truck back in time. This was not given to me. Ther process for a single person to move into the unit was terrible. I had to hold onto big items on a dolly that kept jiggling on the rough pavement right before the door and throwing off my stuff, while I had to swipe to get in the door every time, and struggle to hold the door open to get things In and then worry the door was open too long for the temp control and kept seeing the $150 fine warning. Added to this, there is not a smooth transition for the Dolly's to cross the threshold which makes it even harder for me to get things in. The door that swings open forces you right into the big dots on the floor where the cart goes, but this is in the way and makes getting the cart in even MORE difficult. When dropping off vehicle, I got no confirmation that the process was done and ensue proper payment. Just told to drop off keys and leave. I asked to speak with a manager to mention all of this,, as this form suggests speaking to management to fix issues or concerns, but the associate told me it will take time to find him and I am done waiting for Uhaul Staff to take up more of my time when I should be sleeping. This could all have been done yesterday had uhaul Staff not created such a mess and delay for me. The access hours were less than flexible and if I had done my homework, and I acknowledge this is on me, I would have chosen a different 24/7 storage unit. After having to push my moving date back a day to work with the storage unit hours, upon arrival the door was jammed and we were not able to get in. It took about 30 minutes to find a solution and we moved to a unit in a different building. Richard was wonderful and did everything he could, its just really unfortunate that it happened and on a day that was 110 and after feeling inconvenienced already. After a long day I asked to drop the Uhual truck off at the Tigard location, rather than the Beaverton location, and they were very accommodating. When I mentioned one of the break-ins to the woman working behind the desk, she was extremely rude and didn’t pass on my break-in to a manager so I had to go back in person. I originally reserved a 10' x 20' unit. A staff person at the location "un-reserved" the unit and rented it to someone else. I ended moving these items that were left in my storage unit by myself, items such as a washer/dryer and Huge wall hanging pictures. I have emphysema causing me to stop several times cause I was having a hard time breathing. By the time I was done securing my belongings in the Uhaul truck it was after hours and I could not get out of the gate. I called the 800 number for Uhaul and got the answering service apparently, they got ahold of the general manager. The general manager told the answering service to tell me he's not going to open the gate and if I called the police to get out I would get it for trespassing. I informed uhaul's answering service that I have emphysema and I don't have an extra inhaler with me and could she try to get ahold of someone to let me. She eventually was able to get ahold of someone who providered her with a gate cade to get out. I would never recommend this business to anyone, not even my worst enemy!
