Returning the truck using my smart phone was a big pain. It was raining. my phone does not work well in the rain. There kept being more and more pictures I had to take. I have rented U-haul trucks for decades. Never had so much trouble, a took so much time to return. Also, your rates are for a day. Why when I had to extend an 8 hour reservation did I have to pay more. Note to self, never reserve a truck for less than 24 hours.

U-Haul agent was courteous and helpful in rescheduling the rental of its truck (on account of illness of my driver); the truck was ready for ua at the appointed time; it was clean and well maintained; upon our return, the paperwork was processed with utmost efficiency; we will gladly recommend U-Haul to our friends and relatives when they need a rental truck.

The storage facility was overcrowded with uhuals being stored on both sides of either ends trying to come out of the isles. I could barley get out to be honest. It was ridiculous and needs fixed.

i was unable to use my business account because of an unidentified issue with my business card and the counter help could access no information as to what the issue was. I had no choice but to start over as a walk in customer and ignore my business reservation, and had to pay the higher rate. Unhappy customer

I've rented a trailer on three separate occasions in the last few months. It seems like all my "info" could be stored in your records so I don't have to keep producing my license, etc. for such extensive scrutiny in the check in process. At least once you are convinced I am who I say I am that should be sufficient rather than having my license photographed, etc each time!!!!

I asked the rep at the Tigard U-haul about the dolly situation. He was not helpful - told me that I had already been charged so there was nothing he could do. This was frustrating.

Comments about this location: 1. Nice, helpful staff 2. parking sucks, and being a pedestrian on 99W is dangerous Comments about the online pickup process: 1. it sucks. 2. I made a reservation at a location that has great parking (across busy road from place I actually ended up renting from, but that place has poor parking), but is unattended at 8AM (my desired pickup time). UHaul offers an online-pickup process that is supposed to let you retrieve the truck key from a lock box with a code UHaul provides you. This failed to work for me, and all online help failed to resolve this. My reservation was apparently transferred by UHaul to the spot across the street (with crappy parking) and I was able to get the truck I needed from the nice folks there. But the runaround added 30 minutes to my pickup.

I was ripped off. The mileage and fuel were incorrect on the contract, which I did not realize, since in the past, it has been the employee's responsibility to check the vehicle before leaving the lot. I drove 70 miles and was charged for 122, as well as paying almost $30 to fill the gas tank. The employee, Ethan Dobbeck, was extremely rude and indifferent, telling me that the error was "on me." Is this company policy? I have used U-Haul many times over the years, and this is as badly as I have ever been treated by someone as a consumer. I will never use your company again.

Made reservation over the phone day before small move and they had many options. Used before with good results and this time a great experience too plus they have more parking for private cars now! About $140 for all day use with multiple pick ups around town two bedroom apartment. The guys were super nice!

I gears shifted rough and felt like the truck needed to be serviced. Truck was beat up also, had X marks where the damage was and there was a lot. One good thing is about refilling the has tank. Last time I rented a U-Haul I was told to refill the tank up or be charged $35 if tank wasn’t full. I only drove 7 miles so I did not drive or use that much gas so I ended up paying way more than what I actually drove. This time was told and shown to only pay for what I drove. Also when signing up it should say you get up to 24hours for the base price you pay for. So if you use it for 3 hours it’s the same price if you used it for 24 hours or less.

Nothing. But the extra time fees came as a surprise. I'm used to $20 a day plus refill gas. I based my decision to use Uhaul based on my past fee experience on that.

Got a cargo trailer. The floor of the trailer was wet and dirty. It was a very rainy day so not surprising if there wasn't time to mop out the trailer in between rentals. Fortunately we had anticipated that and had brought a plastic tarp to cover the floor to protect the furniture we picked up. Staff were very friendly and efficient, though, and the check out and check in process was quick and efficient.

You had us pay for damage to the car that can't be caused by driving on paved road, meaning it didn't come from us. We can afford it, so I'm not gonna throw a fit, but you also said we "always tell customers to check for damage" which your GM didn't do when he was helping us that morning. If you are going to quote a policy, it should be one that all employees follow. Maybe start having people available to do walk-arounds to check for damage. I should have been smart enough to do it without being prompted, but the experience comes across as being tricked into paying for damage I'm positive we didn't cause.

Our tubs were very dirty when we got them. It took an extra hour of work just to get them acceptable to use. They had glitter, dirt and hair in every one of the tubs. Also it was very inconvenient that we had to drive all the way back to the original Uhaul location that we picked them up at to return them. When moving, people need to have a close location to drop the tubs off at. I would not recommend this service to others at this time.

I rented a 4x8 smaller height enclosed trailer. It smelled like rodent feces. Upon pulling away from the U-Haul site the trailer began to shake the car and tow package violently. I turned back and the employee told us it is normal until weight is in the trailer. Once their is weight tong of the trailer has enough weight to not shake the car. When I got home, half of the wall hooks were damaged so I could use them, so I had to fabricate my own bracket for tie downs. So I drove home and loaded up the trailer, the drive did get smoother with a load. But on my 4.5 hour drive back I had to load the trailer up with large stone boulders just so the trailer wouldn’t shake my small SUV. Very inconvenient and clearly a design flaw. I was surprised how many issues I had with just a trailer rental, I can’t imagine renting a truck....

This guy sent me on my way without working turn signals even after he "verified and tested." I was pulled over by a trooper 15min down the road and the wire had a cut in it. i had to take it back and have the manager replace the wiring harness. he told me i'd receive a refund but i did not.

I was told that the truck would not be available until 2PM for pickup and I had reserved it for 9AM. Then upon pickup I was told the truck had been there all day. This setback was huge in our move and left us to unloading in the middle of the night. So no cool!

Basically the whole truck was damaged. Driver door would catch on front fender when opening and closing. The seal on the dolly had been broken and not replaced, so when I brought the truck back I was going to be billed for having used it, which I didn't. I got credited back for it, with no hassle, but the vibe I got when I disputed it was that I was cheating them. They need to let people know how the seals are placed on the blankets and dolly to assure it's sealed and good to go and have it on the check out procedure so it can be checked before leaving.

We had a confirmed reservation in Hubbard. The day before they text us to confirm the res in TUALATIN, Apparently they let you make reservations for equipment they don’t even have? Tualatin was inconvenient but we had no backup options. As we were driving - literally pulling up to the location, we find out they moved our res AGAIN to Tigard. Burnt up so much of our time driving out of the way and then making extra trips. Get the reservation system dialed in, UHAUL.

Larry Hall, manager, Among other employees had terrible customer service. The system also wanted me to return at a completely wrong location and they could not figure out why. . I left the U-Haul on the premises overnight and the gas was siphoned. Larry proceeded to arguing with me until I had to break down mileage and how many gallons I had put in. Overall a terrible experience. I enjoy the convenience of the company, not so much who is hired or the customer service.

The facility is well maintained, and has also seen good improvements in the 8 years that I had a storage room. Security is taken seriously here, which isn’t always the case elsewhere. Staff is nice.
