Fix your app - I had an update to my tow and the system confused me having to return multiple things. Took me a long time to debug that return one thing didn't possible and was stuck on the odometer/pics part of the return. System didn't tell me I was in the wrong order. I have rented two trucks from this location in the last year - a 15' truck and a 20' truck - to move from Portland to Eugene. BOTH trucks had a nail in one tire. This proved to be a huge hassle to deal with during the process of moving my family. Everything worked out in the end - there were no major events due to the nails - but this reflects VERY poorly on the maintenance of vehicles at this location and is a significant safety risk.Randy H.

I made a reservation online, but it still took a 20 minute transaction at the counter. It seems all relevant information, including drivers license upload, can be handled onlineâ€¦ including choice of insurance and signatures. Customers should come in, show IDâ€¦ and get the trailer or rental immediately. I feel like U-Haul is still in the 90's with your process. The parking was blocked off so you had to pull back out onto Hwy 99 and drive around to park. The truck was NOT worth the money as it was awful to drive and the window did not close correctly. I usually have a good experience at this Tigard site but did not yesterday and the girl working was very rude. They were busy but no reason to be rude to anyone.Dorothy M.

I have rented uhual many times and had great experiences but today was just poor experience overall. I was scheduled to pick up my van at 6:30am, when arriving I followed all the instructions and noticed the van I was supposed to pick up was blocked by another van so there was no way I was able to pull it out , second the code to get the key I was given didn't work so o called the customer service which was very nice but unable to support since the local store didn't open until 7 , I asked the customer service agent over the phone if there was anything they could do for me after all this and me having to wait over 30 minutes to talk to local agent . I was offered free mileage over the phone but we got disconnected and never received a call back , I called back the customer service and told a second agent everything that happened by that time the store was opening and the agent told me to talk to local store manager about all of this. When sharing my experience with local store they seem to not care and didn't even apologize but all said was â€œ it happensâ€ on top of it after mentioning i was offered free mileage he said he could only give me 10 miles for free at this time I was line whatever since I was running late. When getting into the truck I check the Miles on the odometer and my paperwork and all I was really given for free was 7 miles , again I was like whatever I already lost 40 minutes . This was the worse experience with uhual or pretty much with this location and not in general.Jaime C.

Online suggestions are difficult to remove from mobile ordering. Got extra supplies I had not intended. Chair bags and 48 moving blankets. We did not open three of the bags but made use of them as padding. Drop off location not a uhaul store so was unable to rectify. All in all, Uhaul rocked for a third time for me in the past 2.5 months. Love the 10' truck. Powerful towing a car and powerful on its own. Good honest equipment and ease of use.Jeffrey C.

I was surprised how little fuel the truck started with. I would expect a rental to have a full tank. This one had 1/4+. I was in town so it didn't matter but without know how much a 25 foot truck would use during the rental it seemed, or came off as poor business on your endBen R.
I was charged an insane amount $2700+ despite me being told on multiple occasions that my property was going to be disposed of if I wasnt there to clean out the truck on X day. I got sick with Covid, and I couldnt finish unloading the truck, and it was picked up still full right before a snowstorm! I had nowhere to live, no money and no way to get there. My Items could have been placed in storage and I be charges those fees, not fees for having the truck for a month! Unbelievable!! I never authorized a charge like that to my card!Marjorie P.

The drop off was pretty simple and the location is great. I didn't encounter the staff for dropping the truck off because I did it after hours, but they were really nice and helpful when I went to get my storage unit the day before. I was slightly confused on where exactly to leave the truck for after hours drop off as it didn't specify on the website where the best place was (but it did specify where equipment drop off was for business hours), but other than that it was great!Sierra B.

Should have told me that there was an option larger than 10x15 before I unloaded half of a 26 ft truck. Especially when I said I have a full 26 foot truck to unload. It wasn't until I walked up to the office and said I need another 10x15. But great for upselling. Unfotunately, I will go somewhere else next time unless I am refunded for one of them. The hours were not convenient, no reason why I can not access my unit at any time. The doors to the unit area had no way to hold them open and one of the doors would not open. The ground before entering the unit section was very rough pavement making it difficult to use a dolly. I left over 15 messages and could not get anyone to call me back. This location need to be under new management and staff needs to be retrained by someone who cares about customer service. The national customer service was amazing and I appreciate their support but the location was rude when I was in person and did not answer emails or voicemails. After I moved out they did not do a walk through until 10 days later. Someone moved junk into my unit. Does not make the facility feel secure. Luckily I used a professional moving company and had evidence that everything was removed from my unit. No one from the location called to inform me about things in the unit. I will be leaving this review on Google where I'm in the top 10% of reviewers and have hundreds of thousands of views of my reviews an photos. I had a terrible experience and so much of it was poor management and decisions made by Uhaul Staff, especially at this location. I was supposed to drop off and store at the Aloha location. They would not reserve a unit over the phone and when I arrived and waited in line, he told me I can get a unit in Tigard. By this time traffic was bad to get there, once I did, there was confusion and it took time to get my Truck and AT figured out. First when arriving and attempting to park and go in, I was told by outside staff to go down to the lower parking lot to take my car off, but this was before I had checked in. Once I went down there I had no idea what to do or where to go or how to do this as there is no designated area . When i came back up then i was given better instructions from staff inside. I was given a unit too small. They also required me to back up my trailer to park it which took extra time because I'm not experienced and staff kept telling me to wait before I could park because drivers and vans kept coming in. Then it took even MORE time with staff Making me wait for other cars and trucks to come in (which i was in the way of I guess?). He could have had those later customers wait, especially because then this caused a big line to form before me to get my actual unit. By this time I did not have enough time to move my stuff into too small of a unit. I requested more time because of the mixups, I work at night and cannot wake up early to deal with this but now am forced to go and finish this process at 8am so I can get the truck back in time. This was not given to me. Ther process for a single person to move into the unit was terrible. I had to hold onto big items on a dolly that kept jiggling on the rough pavement right before the door and throwing off my stuff, while I had to swipe to get in the door every time, and struggle to hold the door open to get things In and then worry the door was open too long for the temp control and kept seeing the $150 fine warning. Added to this, there is not a smooth transition for the Dolly's to cross the threshold which makes it even harder for me to get things in. The door that swings open forces you right into the big dots on the floor where the cart goes, but this is in the way and makes getting the cart in even MORE difficult. When dropping off vehicle, I got no confirmation that the process was done and ensue proper payment. Just told to drop off keys and leave. I asked to speak with a manager to mention all of this,, as this form suggests speaking to management to fix issues or concerns, but the associate told me it will take time to find him and I am done waiting for Uhaul Staff to take up more of my time when I should be sleeping. This could all have been done yesterday had uhaul Staff not created such a mess and delay for me. The storage facilities were well maintained. The issue I have is: I had to pay an extra months worth of storage rent when I got the very few belongings I had which was a tarp and my lock. I had to quarantine due to Covid exposure so I couldn’t gain access to my storage unit the day after my last day to get which I did not know you had to get it prior to payment date. The access hours were less than flexible and if I had done my homework, and I acknowledge this is on me, I would have chosen a different 24/7 storage unit. After having to push my moving date back a day to work with the storage unit hours, upon arrival the door was jammed and we were not able to get in. It took about 30 minutes to find a solution and we moved to a unit in a different building. Richard was wonderful and did everything he could, its just really unfortunate that it happened and on a day that was 110 and after feeling inconvenienced already. After a long day I asked to drop the Uhual truck off at the Tigard location, rather than the Beaverton location, and they were very accommodating. Staff was great and have a storage spot is always nice but the concrete outside the buildings is really rough and pocketed which made moving things in and out more difficult then it should be. Stuff was rattling right off the cart. There also a large dip right at the front door that you have to shove or pull hard to get over. Again more stuff falling off the cart. Also its a pain in the But trying to hold the doors open going in and out. So disappointed with this company. The doors and gates to the storage unit was sometimes just left open. My unit was broken into twice. When I mentioned one of the break-ins to the woman working behind the desk, she was extremely rude and didn’t pass on my break-in to a manager so I had to go back in person. At approx 4:20 I went to ask if there was about her unit we could rent at which point I was informed that we would not have access after 5pm. I moved into unit 108 on 04/22/21 and the employee who took care of me was beyond excellent! I wish I could remember her name, but unfortunately I am terrible with names. Regardless, her customer service, attitude, and service were superb. Not all U-Haul storage locations are created equal, I have used many, and this was the best service I have ever received! I originally reserved a 10' x 20' unit. A staff person at the location "un-reserved" the unit and rented it to someone else. I had rented a Uhaul truck to move the remaining items that were in my storage. I ended moving these items that were left in my storage unit by myself, items such as a washer/dryer and Huge wall hanging pictures. I have emphysema causing me to stop several times cause I was having a hard time breathing. By the time I was done securing my belongings in the Uhaul truck it was after hours and I could not get out of the gate. I called the 800 number for Uhaul and got the answering service apparently, they got ahold of the general manager. The general manager told the answering service to tell me he's not going to open the gate and if I called the police to get out I would get it for trespassing. I informed uhaul's answering service that I have emphysema and I don't have an extra inhaler with me and could she try to get ahold of someone to let me. She eventually was able to get ahold of someone who providered her with a gate cade to get out. I would never recommend this business to anyone, not even my worst enemy! Worst customer service experience I’ve had in years. Moving is already stressful enough and the Tigard uhual location made things much worse.this is what happened: -when given a log in for the gate and a storage locker, it was put under the name “craigger hall” and not my name, I had to get this all fixed which took an extra hour. -the original locker I was given was broken. The door was sagging and the lock wouldn’t align with the holes, so you couldn’t close the door. So I had to completely move out from 307 to 309, which took another extra hour. -when I called to make a hitch appointment I was scheduled for the upcoming Monday. I called that morning to confirm my noon appointment and they said it didn’t exist, so they rescheduled. When I called the day before they still didn’t have it on the calendar, when I looked at my reservation it was for Little Rock, AR, not Tigard Oregon, had to reschedule a 3rd time and this took more time. I asked 3 times that they make sure my storage locker rental would terminate on the 23rd, each time they said no problem, then I get an email 8 days after the 23rd saying to remember to pay for my locker rent on the 8th, meaning it never got canceled. The tigers staff seemed annoyed rather than apologetic. I completely understand why the Tigard location has 2.3 stars on google and assume that rating will continue to plummet. All and all, you guys made life more stressful, your equipment was dirty and broken, and your staff is unhelpful and poorly trained. And at the end of my time, I checked with the office staff and closed things out (recorded in the computer) but was charged for an extra month. Huge stain in the middle of the room, I don't know what it is. Some sort of green substance. Sticky and mildew on the walls. Water leaks into the room. Huge beam in the middle of the room that takes away storage space. Hallway is not maintained and it advertised as climate control unit, not even close. It's so cold in the unit and inside the building I have to wear my winter coat. They supposed heating units are so covered by mold And dirt ,I am not sure when the last time they changed the filters. I moved 10 hours to Portland without knowing anything about the area the facility was located at. The U-Haul facility was great, well located, easy in an out and the units were clean.
