While the Underwood site was excellent, and the people there extremely helpful, working with the corporate offices of U-haul was terribel. I received a text from U-Haul late the afternoon prior to my scheduled reservation pick up time (text came in around 4:15pm on March 26 for a March 27 8:00am reserved pickup. I was supposed to pick up the truck in Minot, ND, and U-Haul changed the pick up location to Underwood, ND, which is 55 miles away. I had reserved and already paid for moving help for the 27th at 9:00am, which meant it would have been difficult to pick up the truck in the morning and get back in time to prepare for the mover that I was paying for by the hour. I ended up having to drive to Underwood that evening to pick up the truck prior to the Underwood store closing. U-Haul did give us a cost break, but I still had to have someone drive there with me, a 110 mile round trip, which I had to pay for that gas plus the additional gas needed for the extra miles driven in the truck. Seems to me that a truck reserved a week in advance, can be ready in the predetermined location. I will most likely not rent from U-Haul again

WANDA SThe pick up experience was atrocious, not to mention having to drive in snow and freezing wind, but the fact that we had to drive over an hour out of our way simply to pick up our uhaul and drive back was such a major inconvenience. I am ashamed that we weren't informed that our city wouldn't have our truck in the time frame it promised in our town and had the audacity to let us know the day before we had to pack and move. It's not like we had a small trip, we relied on uhaul to deliver a seamless experience considering we spent over ONE THOUDAND dollars on the truck. The least the rep could have down was to offer to reimburse our gas for both vehicles or maybe uhaul could have sent a rep to drop it off in our town. There were so many different possibilities to explore but uhaul didn't care.

Pearl WVery slow with the computer and registration. I asked for a copy of the contract and they said it would take at least 15 more minutes. Very unprofessional. Manager had to finish contract.
