Don’t charge me for 2 days when only had the trailer for 1 day. Rented the trailer on Friday at 1:00pm and returned it Saturday morning at 10:00am. Was just told to drop it off Saturday even though the shop would be closed. So that’s what I did. Never was told to go online and check it in. Only to find out I was charged for 2 days and had to go back to the shop twice to get the credit for the extra day I didn’t have the trailer. What an inconvenience.

The women Meredith said to the person she was on phone with ‘I should have locked the door’ I was scheduled for 8:30, it was blocked in by a tow truck forcing me to wait around 30 mins for the vehicle to be ready. It was awful and frustrating. Would not recommend this location
Jalon CThe people were friendly, however, when I went to pick up the trailer they had me hook it up alone, didn’t check to make sure everything was safe and secure, didn’t check the lights, and took 1 picture that didn’t even show the dent by the tongue that was originally there. Which worried me that I would be held liable and then just sent me in my way. I’ve rented from U-Haul multiple times over the years and never have they had the customer do all the work.
Dawn LIt was Sunday so we assumed no one would be there. It was not obviously marked u haul. Unclear where we were supposed to park the truck. We could not find a drop box and we're walking around in the rain looking for it. Finally someone came out of the shop (which looked closed) and said she had been there the whole time. And was kind of rude. So she definitely just watched us search around in the pouring rain.
Caroline HPickup location itself was fine, just a bit of a disappointment that I could not pick up the truck at my requested location--costing me extra fuel mileage.
Andrew OThis place accused me of not returning the truck 20 some days after the actual rental. Terrible location that is just running the uhaul brand and name to the ground. Will never rent here again.
Shawn BI did not get registered in when I picked up the truck even though I was told it was all good. Uhaul kept calling all morning to fix it. I recieved 4 phone calls. Lots of waisted time when I was told everything was good when I left with the truck.

Georges OIt looked clean, but someone smoked in it recently, and the cupholders were disgusting. The person borrowing it after me is lucky because I lysoled all the surfaces of this stinky mess. The windshield wipers were so bad that I had to pull over to wipe it off by hand. So basically it wasn't safe to drive.
Cagatay DI was told when I needed to return it I could return it in the Vestal location. The next day I got a call since I delivered it on a Sunday and they told me that I had to bring it back to Owego’s location and if I don’t right now they would charge me over $200. Was not happy since I was told that I could return it to the Vestal location
Michael WThe U-Haul we rented was very loud mechanically and spit and sputtered. For traveling 2 hours away we were unsure if we were going to make it to our destination. Also the people before us that rented it left a bag of clothes that had urine on them and the U-Haul was not cleaned or swept out.

MARK GI ordered moving blankets and when I arrived I was told there weren't any. No prior notice so I could find them elsewhere. I had several pieces of furniture damaged because of this.

Lacey Thorpe at Valu auto made it happen. She was polite and kind and efficient and very personable. The best customer service.
LORRAINEJ MThe truck was relatively new so yes it was well maintained. It did however have some of the previous renters stuff in it when we picked it up and so the truck smelled heavily of smoke. So first impression was disappointing and more work to be done before packing

SEANM VThe process was quite confusing. The guy at the shop didn't even seem to know if the uhaul we needed was there. And then it wasn't showing up in the system so he had to make several calls. He was very nice, but the whole process seemed very disorganized.
Richard HMy pickup locarion was changed the day before and we went to that location and they had no trailer for us. We went back to the original location in Vestal, Ny. They had no trailer for us. They did go to bat for us found us a larger unit back at the Owego location and modified the rental price for all our troubles. We did waste half a day because of this. The price adjustment went a long ways so I appreciate that
Roger DI scheduled a mobile pickup for 8:30 AM. I arrived at 8:20 ready to pick up, and U-Haul's website said that I had to wait until the location opened at 9 AM. A worker arrived who didn't know about U-Haul rentals and wouldn't give me the keys (not his fault, I blame his boss for not showing up or not communicating). After calling U-Haul I finally got my truck at 9:30, an hour late. Please get your act together.

BYRON gI did the Uhaul 24/7 pickup and all went well til I had to take a picture of my license front and back to prove I'm me. The hills in the area must have blocked good data capture. By the time I had gotten into the truck and started driving down the highway, I got the message that the picture wasn't good. That was the only issue I had. The manager at Uhaul in Buffalo, NY, at 1400 Genesee St, straightened everything out. So both ends of my Uhaul trip went perfectly. Thank you.

Richard OI originally requested a truck that was 6 miles away and then was given the truck at a distance of 16 miles away. Adding 20 miles round trip and being charged for those extra miles.
Matt MThis was a horrible experience. There was a mechanic at the location who didn't know how to check out the truck. It took over an hour to be able to leave with it. I rented a hand truck which was never loaded, so I had to go rent another one from my local hardware store. And I was charged for the "missing" hand truck upon return even though we never got it. The dispatch location did not have the correct credit card information one file even though I entered it all online. The online reservation ended up being a useless waste of time, as nothing actually worked. I've been trying to fix all of these problems and can't even get a someone on the phone who can help. I keep hearing "I can't do that," and being told to call someone else, then THEY can't help me. I want a phone call back ASAP to 607-643-5299.
