James HThis was the worst moving truck rental experience I have ever had. My original location for where i was supposed to pick up my U-Haul was changed and I could not get in contact with that location. I go to an actually U-Haul branch to get assistance and they were very unhelpful and mean to me while I am trying to get assistance. The app did not update to give me the lock box information and I had to be on the phone with different people from the company for 2 hours and kept being put on hold. I will not be referring U-haul to anyone else and will make sure to not use this company moving forward. I expect the customer service and willingness to help to be way better from a company like this. Especially since the error was on the company’s end on not updating the app and scheduling my rental.
Elliot SI recently rented a U-Haul truck, and while the overall experience had its ups and downs, there are a few points worth highlighting. Firstly, the truck itself was in good condition and served its purpose well. It was clean, ran smoothly, and was the right size for my needs. However, the U-Haul app was a significant drawback. It consistently malfunctioned, closing out in the middle of the pickup and drop-off steps. This caused a lot of frustration and unnecessary delays. Due to these issues with the app, we had to call customer service four times during our rental period. On a positive note, the customer service was outstanding. Each time we called, the representatives were helpful, patient, and resolved our issues efficiently. Their excellent service helped mitigate the inconvenience caused by the app problems. In summary, while the truck and customer service were great, the app's performance needs significant improvement. I hope U-Haul addresses these technical issues to enhance the overall rental experience for future customers.
Daud JI had to put air in the tires because the tire pressure was low. After putting air in them I still got the prompt on the dashboard that the tire pressure was low.

Gloria CThere was a homeless person living in the truck when I took possession. So sad. But also unacceptable. Imagine my shock as I opened the back sliding door! Management was no help in evicting this person from the truck. Eventually the person vacated the truck and I had to clean up the illegal drug paraphernalia left behind. Disgusting and unsafe.
MARK GOnline pick up only and the online process for pickup and drop off was horrible. Plus I order some dollis with the truck and they were none and nobody called me or email me so I could have gone to a different location. If they were another alternative to U-Haul I would honestly say that I will never use U-Haul again.

Delaney WThis was the 3rd drop-off location I had to go to because my original drop-off location did not let me drop-off the truck due to a full parking lot. This location made the drop-off difficult because it is a very active gas station with no dedicated in person U-Haul representative to assist.

Salim LCell phone service was not good at the gas station for TMobile. Gas attendant was rude and not helpful. There needs to be other options if one cannot access cell service to check in.

TIMOTHY AOur pick-up location was changed and when we arrived we were just handed the key to a filthy truck that smelled like smoke and weed. It had dirty clothes, a used condom and drinks in it. We cleaned it best we could then got an email saying our rental was cancelled. It only got worse from there! Customer service people we spoke to were nice but couldnt help. So we had to wait for Area Manager Ryan Hill who said we had to do all the paperwork again and call customer service again (why? who knows?)before we could drive the truck or he would report the truck stolen!! No apologies, he said he would give us a $100 credit for the disgusting condition of the truck but he did not. When we finally got contract as we were ready to return the truck, the miles out was wrong, we called again, nice lady said she would change, she did not. All and all we did get a truck, the movers who came were great but our U-Haul experience was not good!!
Dennis KDon’t offer mobile pickup if the keys are kept behind the counter inside the store. Also, paid for a furniture dolly just to be told they don’t have any. You have to go through the process through the guy at the counter who has to call his manager because he isn’t authorized to deal with uhaul apparently. Very poor experience, will never return to this location.

The employee tried to be helpful, however, the extreme language barrier prevented that from happening. My husband had to insist on getting a receipt due to the language barrier.
Tim DThe location I went to should not be allowed to rent. The vehicle was dirty scratched up and the door makes a loud pop noise. When I returned the vehicle the person at the register was rude and did not offer assistance or help with the returning process. I had difficulty returning the vehicle and am now being charged for not returning it when it was brought back before the scheduled time. This was the worst experience of my life.
Alicia JThat gas station was the most dangerous sketchy creepy place i’ve ever been in atlanta. A LITERAL drug deal happened before my eyes, the guys had guns, there were homeless people walking around with blankets. HORRIBLE! AWFUL!! DO NOT EVER GO THERE!!!!!!!

Shantera SThe representative at 2448 Cheshire Bridge Rd (Valero) was less than horrible. He checked to ensure the truck was on the lot and then told me I could not take it. He further tried to explain to me that ALL of "his" trucks are for one-way rentals only. He proceeded to tell me Uhaul is horrible and messes things up regularly.

Darrell KThis shouldn’t even be a drop off location. It’s hard to get to because Cheshire bridge collapsed and had to take a long detour. It’s literally just a gas station. There’s homeless people everywhere harassing you and barely anywhere to park the truck because people are in the way or there’s a broke down car in the way. The clerk in the gas station also seemed clueless as to where I could leave the car or even where the key drop box was.
KAPRECE SThe place is very shady. The behind of the gas station has some broken down cars. Had many people shouting and fighting right outside the gas station. Overall the worst experience with uhaul. The picking up was not quick since it needed tax exempt number and that was something no one had a clue about in the counter.

BRADLEY LBEWARE!!!!! This place is sketchy!! Upon arrival there were homeless people sleeping in the back of trucks, hustlers and prostitutes hanging out on the lot, people doing drug deals, people arguing, the inside of the truck was littered...It's not a safe place to go to alone.

Don RThe van was on E when I got it. You can see that in the pictures. The van was full of homeless clothes and had a horrid smell. I had to remove the clothes. It was surrounded in an unsafe area where I had to avoid homeless people coming into the truck. I tried calling u haul and when u haul called back they hung up on me. When I returned the truck I could see homeless people sleeping in the other trucks that were returned. How do we go about getting money back from this unsafe and unclean experience?
KYLE JThe front cab had personal belongings of someone in it and there was a broken beer bottle in the back.. It smelt like beer and fortunately I had an empty cardboard box I could lay down in the area that had glass and beer so my things would not get that on them. the person was very friendly and apologetic so that did make up for it. I could not get the app to accept the odometer/gas photo I uploaded.

All the while standing in parking lot of a gas station full of homeless and loitering. Oh….and the vehicle was full of cigarette ashes and smelled of smoke. Second “Oh”……the drop off location they gave me was 20 miles away from the one I choose when renting. Will cause me to never use U Haul again
BYRON BI completed the on-line registration since I was in Pennsylvania and moving my daughter back from Atlanta. When I received the confirmation call from the central U-Haul office, the location that I wanted to use was not available, so I was directed the next closest location, which was a gas station. I should have done more investigatiing and found a U-Haul only dealer location in the area so I could be more confident in the process. When I arrived, I found that the check-in process was very fast as I had completed the on-line form. However, the truck had a cigarette butt and ashes in the cup holder so the odor in the cab was bad. When I got home I found that my final invoice was $70 more than what the gas station manager had quoted. I was able to get it fixed at my local U-Haul dealer.
Paul DWoman who waited on us was helpful, but the whole check-in system needs to be handled by humans not digitally.
Charles RService was good at the location but my rental pickup location was changed and so was the time (the day of pickup) which led to unneeded stress. This location was not in a good area of Atlanta. In the end I was able to pick up at my original time which was 9:30am but the message I received about the pickup location change stated 1:30pm. This caused me to have to be only the phone with Uhaul 30+ minutes while I was traveling to the pickup location.

Zykeia JThis location made me feel more unsafe than I have in a very long time. It's hard to find the words to describe how bad it was. It was a small gas station with gambling machines inside. There was almost no space to park the truck we had, and there was no option to do an in person drop off (even during business hours), so we were forced to pay the return convenience fee. There were several people (at least 15 or 20) around on the gambling machines and outside the gas station who appeared to be on very serious drugs. I was asked several times for money by the patrons surrounding the gas station. We were also the only UHAUL truck at this location, and it seemed that the person working did not know much about UHAUL. I would never go back here and would not allow anyone I know to go here.There is another UHAUL location within 1 mile that we drove past to get to this location, and it was full of UHAUL trucks and seemed MUCH better. It seems like there is no reason to have this place as a drop off location. It should be removed as a UHAUL location immediately. It is NOT safe.

Vanessa MI was very worried when I read the other reviews for this location, but I picked up my U-Haul with no issues! The U-Haul was ready on time, clean, and the man at the front desk was very helpful in getting me the dolly that came with my equipment. Great experience!
Abigail CThere were A LOT of U-Haul's in the parking space. I almost parked in front of a business operating outside of a garage in the back and he had to move the truck for me b/c it was so crammed. I would recommend having less trucks in that location or at least having less all at the same time. Overall, it was very simple - thank you for the service!

Nathan HThe gas level did not match what was on the uhaul website therefore when I dropped off the truck they charged me for fuel even though I left the fuel amount at the same level as when I picked it up.
LAUREN SThis was a gas station crammed with uhauls and no one capable of helping. The attendant at the gas station would not help and kept saying I had to contact customer service even though I had all my contract information available and had already checked in. When I had customer service on the line she still refused to help. I ended up going back and forth w/ her and customer service for close to 2 hours before someone showed up who was able to help w/ the rental. My pickup location was changed to this location about 3 days before my pickup. This was in a very bad area of the city and I didn't feel safe standing around waiting for assistance. We witnessed multiple addicts using around the premise of the gas station. When it started to rain many of these same people opened the back of the moving trucks to use as shelter from the weather. In summary I would never use this location again and would never recommend anyone picking up at this location.
Daniel JDid not have the car tow dolly which was “confirmed and guaranteed” in and email the day before. The lady at the check out counter could not explain what she needed for her to give us the keys despite showing her the confirmation and reservation numbers. Had to sit on the phone with U-Haul customer support for 30 minutes to get her to give us the keys in a convenience store with meth heads playing digital gambling games in the back. And then they made us go to another location to get the car tow dolly. Joke of a location.
Russell HLocation was not really a 24/7 outlet. U-Haul app said it did not open until 1:30pm but had a 10am reservation. Talked to cashier who had to call manager, who did not pickup. After 15 min, cashier was able to get hold of manager. Manager told her to give me key and 10 blankets (order 12, glad it I did not need them.
Robert DThe pick up time was 10:00am on Saturday, July 10th. I went to pick it up, and the gas station manager told me that they weren’t involved with the UHaul. After waiting for 23 minutes on hold before speaking to a customer service rep, I was told that the location did not open til 10:00 and that my pickup time would be 1:30, and that they weren’t sure why it would say 10a if they weren’t open til 1:30pm. I was told I’d be credited back my $50 refund for not having my truck ready when promised, and would like to receive that. Thank you
Lane BThe staff had no idea what to do, so more training would be helpful; I had to go back to the return location because they said they had checked my truck back in but it was still showing up as not checked in. They also never picked up their phone. Other U-Haul trucks had homeless people sleeping in them.
GREGORY SThe virtual pickup process was meh, but the location did not have equipment I had paid to rent (dolly, full set of pads). The truck had a low right front tire. The man working the counter was polite and efficient however.
Shane MIn your system, this location does not allow check in until 1:30pm. So, when I got there at 7am (for my originally scheduled time), I could not complete the check in process and there was no one at the location able to help get me my keys. There was someone there, but she was only prepared to give out keys to those who had succesfully completed the online pick up through the app, which I was not allowed to do because the app said that the location did not open until 1:30pm.
