Francis H.I completed the rental online, yet when I went to pickup the equipment, I had to go through the entire rental process again. So, what's the point in doing it online or over the phone if I have to do it all over again. Otherwise the equipment was in good shape and towed very well.
Roland B.I was supposed to pick up my truck through the 24/7 contactless service. There were signs outside the establishment advertising this service. It was not set up through this service. I had to come back to pick up my truck an hour later than expected when the store opened. The paperwork was not completed beforehand so I had to wait for it to be done. I believe this was done purposefully to sell unnecessary insurance. The equipment I ordered was not already in the truck which caused more of a delay.
Kevin E.The trailer was not cleaned when we picked it up. We had to clean it out. The other issue we had was that the trailer leaked so our items got wet. Had we known this we would have covered everything with tarps or blankets.

brian M.The U-box is a great service, and overall I had a good experience. Most importantly, the pickup and delivery occurred on schedule. However, improvements could be made to the website to make the experience more user friendly. For example, links sent via text did not function properly. When I clicked to upload photos of the delivery location or confirm equipment, there were error messages on the website.
Alissa M.Truck itself was in excellent condition and well maintained. The interior of the cab was not clean and had debris on the floor, as well as spilled, dried coffee (or soda) on the console and the passenger door.

Dan R.Of the dozen or more U-Haul trucks I have rented over the past two years this one was by far the quietest inside the cab driving down the highway. The driver's seat has been covered with a solid vinyl cover instead of a perforated vinyl cover. Even with the great air-conditioning this truck had the solid viny seat cover caused the driver's rear end to sweat through his pants.

Kenton K.Staff at Van's was excellent. Left side trailer marker lights did not work, the lot man was unable to get them working. Stop & turn lights were ok & trip was only daylight, but they need to be fixed before next rental.
David L.The dealership was fine. The issue was condition of equipment. This particular UHaul truck needs replaced. On average, I rent (2) times per year, and this particular truck is the worst one I have driven. It has nearly 140 thousand miles on it. The steering had quite a bit of play in it, which combined with any wind, made driving worse. Also the steering play was a factor when trying to precisely position for load. Truck also seemed to labor under load on hills. My cargo weight was not excessive, I could barely maintain speed of 45 mph on hills on freeway. Seat cover was a replacement and was loose and bunched up behind knees when driving. Chain for rear locking hasp was barely long enough to get lock through the hasp. The chain had clearly been repaired and shortened at some point Time to retire this truck from fleet
Dave L.The app and contactless pick up and drop off was a disaster. The key was not in the box and I was not able to even get the correct size truck. I had to get a smaller truck and make additional trips costing me money. Drop off also did not work as the app did not let me take picture of the dashboard as part of the drop off process even when following directions and spending 15 minutes trying different pictures. Was a terrible experience. The truck alignment also seemed to be off and wanted to veer right strongly, my equipment dolly was not available anywhere either. Was a terrible experience and next time I'll go to Penske

Tommy D.Gas gauge does not work properly. When I picked it up it showed just over 1/2 tank. I decided to fill it up before I left town. It would only take 7 gallons. When I returned and attempted to fill back to the halfway mark the gauge jumped from between 1/4 and 1/2 to over 3/4 full. The gauge is definitely faulty. The back door was VERY difficult to open and close. Not sure if it off the track, the spring is broken or just needs lubricated, but it was a struggle to get it opened and closed.

Michael L.The experience was good all together. Im someone who appreciates conversation. I know it's a business to run on top of a rental contract business. Be more interactive with your customers. Instead of 1 worded conversations. Other then that. Clean place. Small town so easy to find. Good prices. Will I use again? Probably not considering I'll buy a trailer. Much less of a headache trying to find the right equipment within a certain radius. For those who do not have funds or the means to want to go that route. It's perfect for you.
JOHNATHON W.I had preregistered , but upon arrival I was asked questions already answered online, such as my drop off location, did I want insurance. These were clearly viewable on my confirmed order. I was a little perturbed to say the least. I've had quite a few rentals this year and on every instance the time it takes to actually get in and out is too long. If you show up a little early to compensate then they say you have to be back those few minutes early for your return. If you show up at your pickup time and it takes them 15 minutes to get you processed and hooked up, they don't say you get an extra 15 minutes on your scheduled return time. I don't believe this was the location problem but rather a U-Haul website problem.
Rexford T.When a reservation is made for a truck to be at a location, it's nice to be arrive and have the truck be there. Instead of moving our things we haggled for over an hour trying to find another truck. No local trucks were available so we had to drive 20 additional miles each way (which comes off our 50 mile plan btw) to get a truck. Then we went went back to return the truck, there was no key Dropbox, nothing to scan for return. So we had to open the hood and place the key on the motor and then call the next morning to let them know where it was. Not a pleasant experience overall. Prior to this we have used Budget without any issues or hiccups. Our local Budget dealer closed so we were forced to go with UHaul.
