To improve for the next customer, have the employees more trained on self pick up and report the damages of the trucks to uhaul. We had a delay with the self pick up because our information wasn’t showing up for the employee at the convenience store after the app said I was ready to pick up the keys. He called a uhaul rep who walked him through. Once we got the keys we got into the truck and because it was raining, we turned on the wiper blades just to hear an awful screech and realized one of the wipers was completely missing. So we had to go back into the convenience store and the employee had to call uhaul again and sent someone on their day off to come and replace it. The store employee and uhaul employee were both prompt and helpful, even allowing us a few extra hours with the truck if needed because of the delay, but I very much regretted the hassle this caused everyone, especially the friends I had waiting for us for almost an hour at my house waiting to help me move and not knowing what was going on. The back of the truck was filthy but the uhaul employee rectified this by retrieving a broom from the convenience store and sweeping it. The truck was also unlocked upon arrival which we thought was weird, especially given the location of the store. I would still use uhaul but would never use self check-in again or use a non-uhaul location for pick up and drop off.

Haytham SIt was not the experience I had hoped for. When I ordered the truck I ordered it from a different location very close to the place we were moving from. UHaul changed that location so it was very far. When I got their your system was down and could not get the truck even though I had a printed copy of my order. Once you system came on-line maybe after 20 min. The clerk looked at my order and realized I had booked a dolly. He had no dollies. So I had to go to another location even further away to pick up the dolly. Not a good experience and in the future looking for somewhere else to rent a truck.

Michelle PVery bad experience. 45 minutes to get the vehicle Vehicle stuck in the mud Vehicle flooded with water. I had to take the vehicle to the depo, another 30 minutes to get the vehicle. Finally, I was charged by the dealer CAD 256, compared to the original quote of cad156, when I asked the dealer, he said I will get a refund, after returning the vehicle. But, now I am trying to get the refund, I have been transferred to 5 people, coming back to the original responder, I have been told to call back later as scheduling is busy .

Jimmy XBe more understanding of the needs of the customers. The gentleman that worked in the office called the police on me to report the truck that I had rented, was stolen. He did this after I communicated with him the day before, that I would be in to return the truck after work the next day. The situation was very distressing.
Diane PVehicle was very dirty in cab. Windshield has never been cleaned. Box of truck was very dirty. Truck was in rough mechanical condition. Front suspension bounced, wobbled and drifted all over road.

Jino PThe truck was a disaster when we got it. Unfortunately we did not know this until we opened the back of it when we got home. The blankets from the bag were out and soaking wet. The dolly inside was laying down at the back of the truck. The truck stunk of fish. Given the situation and the issues we dealt with 48 hours prior to this rental with UHaul, we desperately needed a truck and had no other options. The location was a convenient store, it wasn’t the best but the guy at the location was decent and helpful enough. I probably wouldn’t ever recommend anyone using UHaul for their moving or truck rental needs. Customer service isn’t the best.
