The truck I reserved wasn’t there and the location did not tell me until I pulled up to get it. Drove 2.5 to get the truck and had to cram everything that was meant for a 26’ truck into a 15’ truck. Location did nothing for me and expected me to drive roughly 2 hours to go get a 26’ truck if I wanted one. This was ridiculous.

Sheila DWe had put gas in the truck back to where it was and I got a fee charged saying they added 2 gallons (10.17) of gas that was not true at all and 5.00 a gallon? I talked to several others people and they had the same thing done to them. I know it's just 10$ but sill it all adds up! I don't appreciate the dishonest
Charles HPlease tell people that the lockbox is on the building instead of on the truck like the online Uhaul video shows. Also the Uhaul company needs better customer service. I was hung up on three different times by Uhaul representatives.
Crystal CNothing really but it wasn’t your fault the air-conditioning went out and I had no air for 400 miles but I call scheduling and let me have the truck for 2 more extra days so it’s ok

harvey rThere was alot of dog hair and the A/C wasn't working. You move, you get hot and sweaty. The A/C doesn't work, so you roll down the windows on a hot kansas day. Only to have dog hair flying around you, and I'm not a pet owner. The truck did what I needed to do, but the overall experience wasn't the best with random pet hair and a broken A/C.

BEVERLY JTwo people on hand couldn’t check in trailer, said it would get checked in when another employee came to work. Didn’t get checked in that day, called back next day and got checked in after that.
Russell SEverything was good - but when I picked up the truck it only had 1/4 tank of gas. It cost 75.00 to fill up the tank. So I paid the rental truck costs, the mileage, plus 75$ out of pocket.
Amy LCan't think of anything, I have always had a good experience with the U haul company, have used them several times over the years moving my kids to and from colleges and apartments.

Nick HTried to bill me 3 times for the same tow dolly then credited 2 of the 3 payments bk then tried to say I never paid at all when I did. First would not accept cash even w a credit card on file but never told me this before I came to pick up truck day of need. Then wanted a 100 dollar deposit on top of charge for truck and I said why deposit now when u have a credit card on file and have cash to pay in full with. That's just policy they said but if I had just wanted to use card only then they would not have wanted 100 dollar deposit how stupid is that?? Very! in my book u have guaranteed cash payment and charge card on file in case of any extras due upon truck return but if use cash w a card they need another 100 dollar deposit. Wth, smh next time I will go bk to use Penske so much easier to rent from w no stupid hassles and much better trucks!! Then while talking on phone w them they hung up on me. Also store u rent from can't do anythg to help you u still have to contact uhaul yourself.
Lynn AThe truck was available as promised. Communication was good. The clerk at the pick up place was very helpful. We are lucky to have a U-Haul rental agent in Independence, Kansas! On the down side: the smallest truck available was the 10' truck and we were transporting a small load. I was informed numerous times that the smaller vans were taken out of all the small towns in South East Kansas, so getting a smaller size was impossible. It would seem that all products and services should be available to all potential customers.
Barbara DRented a 20ft to pick up an appliance. It costed WAAAY too much. All together about $160!

laramie hit would be nice if ii received a reciept for return when i brought it back. as it was it took 15 minutes and a manager to get one. they'd never given a return recipt before. without it how do customer prove he returned it?
Gary SWas charged an additional 20 dollars without any indication as to what the charges were for when I did not go over allotted mileage and the truck was returned on time. When I dropped the truck off I was told there would be no additional charges as well.

Paul YIndependence has two U-Haul locations. When I did the online order, the other location on 10th was the default location. After trying to call them several times and getting no answer, I called Waters who answered the phone. I changed my pickup location due to that. Moving is so stressful that I didn't want to take a chance on a location that didn't seem to care about communication. I was worried that if we went to them, no one would be there. Waters was there for us and extremely helpful and knowledgeable.
Tawni SWe were supposed to have an early pickup on Saturday I was supposed to get a text message with code on my phone at 6:30 am. To collect the key from a drop box. That didn’t happen. The store didn’t open up until 8. When we got there it took 20 minutes to get the truck. We weren’t able to leave until 8:30. When we returned the truck it also took another 20 minutes and the young boy and girl clerk were arguing in front of us. Not a great experience.
kathy hThe 24/7 truck share service was more trouble that it was worth. It was very difficult trying to get checked in to pick up my truck and I still had to wait in line just to pick up my key. I was also charged twice for the entire rental, once when I picked it up and once when I returned it. I will not be using this again.

MORRIS QA couple of things: 1st, the trailers all had new safety chains. However, the hooks on the chains were small and would not go over a standard hitch securing loop. I had to spend an additional $21 to purchase D-rings that the chains would go over to secure chains to the hitch. 2nd, l returned the trailer early the following day after the rental per my lease agreement. It was on a Sunday and the U-haul portion of the store was closed so l checked the trailer in at the front counter. The employee said he would let U-haul know l returned the trailer per the lease agreement on Monday. However, despite that, l was charged through 6 p.m. Monday making the the charge for 3 days instead of 1. I will not use Waters Hardware again but will use the U-haul facility on 10th street from now on for all my U-haul needs.
William CSend a helper to move items lol I rented several times from this location no issues and really helpful when wife picks up a rental for us being that I am over the road semi truck driver

Eric JTraining help so they know how to hook it onto the truck it wasn’t hooked on correctly came off and we were on the side of the road and waited till 4 o’clock in the afternoon from 11 till 4 38 minutes on the phone waiting for roadside assistance just to get through on the call
