It was Memorial Day so no staff but everything went smoothly with electronically signing in to advise drop off.

RICHARD MThere was dried pop all over the cup holders, their was exhaust fumes in the cabin, the transmission slipped horribly, and the actual cost of the truck was $45 more then I was quoted. I will rent a Home Depot truck before using U-Haul again

CHARLES EDoor springs were terrible. Door was extremely hard to open and close. Location is great. Good people. Truck just needs maintenance….
MICHAEL GProvide a ice scrapper. Make sure the wiper arms are not worn out for highway driving.
LDE VThe biggest issue was the passenger seat belt was stuck behind the seat making it unusable. The driver could not have anyone ride with them during the move due to a lack of seatbelt. The second issue was the location said the Uhaul was at 3/8 of a tank of gas when it was very clearly at a 1/4 tank.
kenneth aI was charged 12.60 for gas. When I picked up in ionia I had 205 miles until empty, when I returned the vehicle it had 229 miles until empty and somehow I was charged for fuel. Not happy about it.

THOMAS MOverall a good experience at this location. Staff were helpful and courteous. A suggestion would be putting directional signs for uhaul returns. We moved from out of state to MI and had to circle the building, park and go inside for instructions before placing trailers where they are designated for return.
KYLE MI had to extend our rental a couple of times and they were very helpful and made the process very easy

MARK ALocation was great, no issues on that part. However, there were serval issues that need to be addressed. The truck was shaking so bad that it made me dizzy and I had to pull off to the side of the road as well as waste a lot of time for a 2 hour drive. All and all it took me 5.5 hours to get to my destination. This is unacceptable and something needs to be done

CHARLES BThe woman that help me should learn how to treat people. I don't care for people who look down on others. It's was so bad I actually had to ask if there was an issue. Iam was cking my insurance company. I already have insurance that covers me and any rental or moving truck. She wouldn't understand this nor did she cared. I told her several times I had insurance coverage. So as far as iam concerned this very ungrateful rude woman knew what she was doing. She only cared about the money and wasting my time. I had a broken ramp on the van also. Plus when I went back to pick up a the trailer box that I was driving for Uhal. Everything was ok till I told now a man that was helping me that this time and showed him a tex that Uhaul was covering the insurance because I was hauling it for uhaul. He basically got pissed and even more when the tex was shown to him. he was pissed till the lady on the ph what was going on. I figured he found out he was still making some money off me hauling it for uhaul. In the end I will never deal with this store ever again I been dealing with uhaul since I was a kid with my parents. Have family members work for uhaul and friends that run their own uhaul bizzness never have I had such a horrible experience with 2 people at uhaul period. If you don't look like them don't go here. If you are just a regular person who just wants help don't go here. If you don't want to be looked down at as a person let alone a paying customer don't go here. I saw how they treated other costumers people they were regulars customer that they knew. It was like night and day. In the end I feel I was stolen from. my time, money and just all around being a customer and actually helping uhaul. They only want insurance money for the truck and the box trailer. They didn't care for what was right. They just cared about the insurance money.

john wWhen I rented the truck, I was told to go to the website for U-Haul after dropping off my car after hours to avoid a $20 fee.. I was to check in and let them know the car was returned, or so I assumed. What I was not told was that I needed to perform some tasks prior to leaving the rental truck and that I would need to have my cell phone charged so that I could take a photo of the odometer/mileage, etc. I called U-Haul as instructed, but did it after I arrived home. The lady said there is a "convenience fee" of $20 for not supplying this information at the time you leave the truck. That would have been very easy IF I had been told that and IF I had my phone charged. I would have also been able to use my phone for navigation, which was needed as I was in Michigan from out of state. But there was no USB place to plug my phone in. I did not see a place to charge the phone while I had it for 1.5 hours. I called a national U-Haul number (some customer service number where the lady explained things in detail) and I asked why I had not been told about the need for a photo, the need for a charged phone to take the photo and connect to the website, the need to call while I was still in the truck, etc. She apologized for the location not giving me better information. She said she would make a note in my file and that they could waive the convenience fee. They chose not to waive the fee. I find this to be unacceptable and won't rent from them again.

RICK MEverything was easy and good, I'll be back when I need a trailer. The only annoying thing is the getting hounded for the insurance fee. I understand asking once. The local people were nice, and asked once. The scare tactics when I was checking in on my phone was annoying. The fact that the price dropped from $8 in store to $5 online makes it seem like a scam.

However I think that a one way trip during the week for a 15’ truck for $140 plus putting $30 worth of fuel in it So -$140 +$30 = $170 For a 60 mile trip….$2.83 per mile??? Just a little much. All in all thank you for helping me with a last minute rental on the spot!!
BRENT SThe employees at the U-Haul location in Wayland are also a bit ... unfriendly. My original call to pick up trailer there was a bit unhelpful. The owner was short in answering questions I had. He acted like I was bothering him. With my experience of doing business there for 13+ years -- not super friendly. The two owners (mom and son) are a bit unapproachable and have many rude comments to customers. They just are not friendly individuals. A few of my friends have said the same thing so it is not my imagination. Maybe a bit if a "superior" attitude. I would recommend using them but I think they need to work on their customer service skills in friendliness.
