When one makes reservations at one particular location, make sure you have the agreed upon equipment at the agreed upon location. The store where we picked it up was fine, this comment is directed toward the U Haul organization.

Did not have the size truck we needed. We were given a smaller truck instead and were not able to move everything in one trip. We were not given any discount for our inconvenience. I would probably not use this location again.

I find it ironic that when I moved into my house 13 years ago, I rented a 26' truck from U-Haul and the roof leaked during a major rain storm and ruined my oak headboard. I filed a claim and was paid for the damage. This time I move out of that house and it rained heavy again, and the truck leaked again! This time it soaked a box I was careful to ensure it didn't sit on the floor in case of the same problem, but much to my dismay, The overhead shelf leaked and soaked a box labeled "surround stereo system". I've yet to unpack it and check to see if it still works, but I'm thinking it probably won't. I set the box in the window of my garage facing the sun hoping it will dry out the contents before I plug it in. Very dissatisfied with this performance to where I think my next move will be with your competitor. I strongly suggest you develop a maintenance program to check for this condition with a power washer.

Equipment was clean but the first truck we picked up had a bent axle or something. The trailer was going down the road diagonally, and the steering wheel was was not straight. We took it right back and were given a different truck that was also clean, but made a loud whining noise until speed of about 55 was reached. Other than that, the facility and staff where we rented the truck were very helpful and friendly. Recommend the location, but U-Haul needs to take better care of the equipment.

The truck was clean, and you can not ask for better or nicer people to work with than the folks at Wayland's Do It Best Hardware. However, the truck did shake pretty good and at times the transmission sounded like it was having a difficult time shifting gears. But it made the trip so I have no complaints.

I have been a U-Haul customer before and I must say, my recent experience was very disappointing. After reserving a 5 x 8 trailer online to be picked up at a different location, I never received a pickup confirmation call. Instead, I had to call U-Haul to find out my preferred location did not and would not have my trailer. I was then forced to hunt down a 5 x 8 trailer that would be available. (Such a hassle!) Once I had reorganized my reservation and arrived to pick up my trailer, the store has a difficult time accessing my reservation. The U-Haul reservation software or website was malfunctioning and my payment could not be processed. In the end, my "quick" pick-up turned into an hour and a half of struggling with the point of sale system. The chasier had to cancel my reservation entirley and start from scratch as a walk-in in order for me to pay! All in all, a totally frustrating experience! What is the point of reserving a trailer beforehand if it is not available or if the software doesn't even work?! And most of all why did I pay almost $400 for such an awful experience??!!???

Only 1 person for paperwork at counter. Did online express check in and still had to wait over a half hour for the person in front of me to get their rental first then mine took less than 5 minutes. What is the point of express check in for this situation? Person for trailer hook up and vehicle check was excellent.
