The truck we received was filled with cockroaches! We had to take it back to the dealer and replace with another truck. We then came to return the truck by 3:45 and we're told we could not get our deposit back unless we came back the next day. Poor experience!EVELYNJAMISON B.

process took an hour to leave plus hour to get out.. very bad service. very confrontational then they are waiving a $20 charge that I wasnt told about. very sub standard service. i wont go back not safe place to leave my car. terrible place. i got stuck with place on a last min rental. need more inventory in burlington and oakville i had to go way out of my way costing $50plus extra. no saving should of rented a ryder or a penski. next time.ANDREWALEXANDER K.

Our booking said we had to check in online for pickup which did not work. We talked to the store clerk as instructed by the website. He said we had to use the online check in. This resulted in us going to 2 other locations and waiting on hold with customer service for over two hours. We finally made it work by going back to the original location and insisting they check us in in-person. The clerk did his best the whole time but this system is broken. Not to mention the fact that we only needed this truck because the hitch install I booked and paid for was moved to a different day without notifying me and was then delayed again due to a lack of a part in inventory. It still hasn't been installed. Very dissatisfied and will be doing everything I can to avoid using uhaul in the future unless changes are madeANDREANICOLE H.

The process is NOT easy and needs to have more information provided. We arrived at 8:30am to be told we needed the lockbox code as the person covering the U-Haul desk would not be in until 9:30 (on a Saturday this seems not efficient) We called and had to provide a copy of the drivers license again as well as a photo of the driver beside the truck. A 10 foot truck does not provide enough space for a one bedroom apartment. Thankfully we had two Jeep SUV's with us or we would need to make two trips which was 70km one way. This was the worst truck rental we have ever had and we not be going with U-Haul again.Raymond P.

The employee at the store told me he did not have the keys to the truck, forcing me to wait on the phone for an hour with customer service, only to then find out he did have the keys and was incredibly rude about it when we asked him why he didn't give them to us when we first asked. It was incredibly frustrating and wasted an extra hour of my day where I could have been moving. I will not recommend this location to anyone.Gregory M.

My location and time was changed the day before my pickup despite my concurrent reservation for movers. The staff person at this new location didn't arrive until 10 am leaving my movers waiting 30 minutes at my home for me to arrive. They were therefore not able to complete loading the truck and I was left to finish loading with no help. Not a good experience. Very frustrating.Laura E.

Miss guided, miss communication, wasting time. Very stressful, especially after travelling from 5 hr drive from up north to pick up a truck for 10 am and they tell you they don't have the truck etc. I have ppl waiting to move wasted almost two hours of my movers time and I still had to pay them. I have had bad experiences with uhaul in the past, but this was the final straw. The biggest issue was that despite reserving my vehicle online for a specific location I was given a truck on the other end of town. This tripled the amount of time I was to spend driving increasing my kilometers and gas. As well, I had to arrange rides to get to and from the vehicle. Something I would not have had to do if I was given the truck I had reserved. It is company policy that I be contacted by phone to confirm changes of any kind to my reservation and I was never consulted. Furthermore, there were items left in the truck indicating that I had not been inspected. Which became an issue when I returned the truck as there was damage to the vehicle from a previous customer for which I was presumed responsible. This is the worst experience we have had with U-haul The u-haul rental is located within a convenience store. We had to wait 30 min both for pick up and for drop off - because we were informed that convenience store clients take priority. In the middle of our payment and review of rental agreement we were repeatedly interrupted and told to step away so that owners of convenience store serve customers coming into their store. We have rental from u-haul on at least 5-10 different occasions - and this is easily the worst location and experience we have hadMaria R.

When I picked up the truck the gas was a little more than half full. I was in rush and I didn't check it against my contract. I trusted it because it had never happened to me before that it doesn't match. When I returned the truck I realized it was reported that it was full so I had to pay an extra $55 to fill up the gas! In addition to that, I checked in online to avoid unnecessary contact to people but the key wasn't in the lock box, and I had to go in and redo the whole transaction in there. And lastly the didn't have tapes and covers I had ordered online so I had to drive to a U-Haul center to pick up those. Not recommending this location.Mani M.

In spite of the truck arriving on time and clean, this was one of the WORST experiences I have EVER had with a rental company. The person was not helpful at all, pointing to a sign at the counter when we needed help. The location's parking lot was littered with syringes and broken bottles, trash, the location was not clean or welcoming. Our pick up time was scheduled for 9:30 however, we were not approved via mobile check-in until 10:30am. Moving is unbelievably stressful on the best of days. To not have a person available to answer our questions, being forced to use mobile tech in a sketchy neighborhood was even more frustrating. If I could, I would have given this place 0 stars. MAYBE 1 star if you're the type that likes to pick up rolling papers or a glass bong before picking up your rental truck. But that's not for us. I will NEVER recommend this location OR UHAUL truck rental services to anyone.Sandeep P.

Returning the truck was a nightmare.. spent 30 mins in the parking lot fighting with the 24/7 truck share website/app and it wasn't working. Due to covid the store refused to do the check in and only after calling a manager I managed to get someone to agree to check it in. The next morning I received me receipt with a $20 after hours fee when I actually returned the truck at 2pm. Customer service said it was the store that put it on there... Would not recommend getting a uhaul from this store.Rebecca C.
The cell phone return process would be very convenient, and adds some safety for both renter and staff in this pandemic environment. However, it didn't work for me: firstly because my phone has the location function turned off and I'm too much of a luddite to fix that on the fly - and my ride had arrived, so by the time I reached that point in the checkout process, I was a few miles away and the system presumably would have decided I had not returned the truck or had returned it to the wrong location. Fortunately, being a confirmed luddite, I had anticipated some sort of problem and so upon returning the keys to the clerk I made a video of that transaction in case I would need it. I emailed instead to confirm that the truck was returned, and received a prompt reply assuring me this was ok.Deborrah S.

Perhaps my inability to complete the return process on my phone was due to technical inadequacies on my part, but I do everything on my phone, so perhaps the return process could be made more clear. Not rent uhaul from a convenience store where nobody knows how to do there job because now I am in a dispute over 50$ charge on my bill and your customer service employee Casey Roberts has the absolute worst customer service I have ever received never rent from Uhaul again and I make sure everyone on my social media and yours sees all the paper work and police report I had to file over all of thisdestin B.

Was told to drop truck off at Barton and nash. Went to drop off the truck was told it had to go back to the welcome mart where I picked it up. When i took it to Barton and nash it had the same amount of fuel as it did when we left but by the time i got it back to the welcome mart it was a little bit light on fuel. They tried to charge me fifty dollars for returning it without enough fuel. Which it would have had enough had I been told to drop it off at the correct location. I arrived 20 minutes after my reservation and the vehicle still wasn't ready to go. I had to call the number prompted on my phone, let them talk to the attendant at the location then spend another half hour waiting for the attendant to process the equipment for us to take. When I then returned the vehicle (several hours ahead of schedule) the attendant on site at that point told me I had to come back again to receive my refund from the deposit amount. In all, we got the truck and the refund, so everything worked out in the long run, but it was definitely more of a hassle than it needed to be. Not as organized as I would have expected. For me going back for the refund wasn't the end of the world (though inconvenient due to having an infant I had to pack up and cart back with me), but I could see this being a major issue for other customers, so definitely something that should be looked at.Steve M.
