I was suprised to hear ifrom representative that Necause I was almost hours late picking up the vehicle i reserved (called previously to make sure they were expecting in the morning) they said they did not have a vehicle for me. When I protested all of a sudden he had gone online and said that they did. Mot sure what transpired but the fact ot was a variety store and representatives spoke poor english I was very reloeved to be on my way with the vehicle.steve W.

I originally requested a 5'x8' trailer and the U-Haul website indicated there was one at this location. The next day I received a call informing me that there were none and I could upgrade to a 6'x12' for the same cost. While I appreciate this, it was not the equipment that I actually required. My vehicle was filthy inside the cab. There was a very bad odour, similar to the smell of vomit. I had to use many Lysol wipes throughout the passenger cab, on the seats and hard surfaces. There was food and drink spills. This is really not acceptable during an epidemic.Wendy B.

Don't tell me two days before I move that my pickup location has changed from 3km to 29km away. No one was there for pickup time of 9am. No cleaning of the back truck and no wipe down of interior of truck during COVID!!Carter S.

Found ALL the lugnuts to be loose after an hour or two of driving, I could turn two of them by hand! This is VERY dangerous as I could have lost a wheel, had an accident or worse! I re-torqued all of them to 100 pounds. Equipment needs to be inspected and properly maintained between rentals. ThanksRay L.

Will never rent again, false advertising on the base rental rate of $19.95. The mileage charges are exorbitant! a 4 hour rental with less than 100km's came to $85.00 not including tax. I can get a van at Home Depot for $20.00 including more than 100km's.Bob W.

Hi You added a 15.00 waiver when I requested not to add it. Equipment was quite dirty and I had to wipe it down. I called your customer service and asked for a 10.00 courtesy credit and agent wouldn't do it. I rented this van only to pickup a desk. And 70.00 seems very high. When picked up vehicle , they did not have it checked back in from previous rental , nor did they have the time to . Took my drivers license # and told me i could leave. upon returning I did not replace the the gas i had used . the gage had read half full when i left and did as well on return as i had only travelled a total of 14.2 KM was charged 27.56. for gas also I had picked up at approx. 10 am returned at approx. 5pm . they show me me picking up at approx. 11.30 pm and returning 4.pm the day after i had returned. I understand it was winter and not everything can be perfectly clean. Mats will be dirty but cargo bed should be blown or swept out. There was a fair amount of debris left behind. The pick up app needs to be compatible with more browsers and I had a difficult time getting the keys because it would not connect by Samsung browser before switching to Chrome.Xavier T.

U haul called 24h prior to pick up to let me know that I had to pick up at a new location that was 30min away when there is 5 locations within a 10min radius of the original location. Compensation for extra 30km was ridiculous as that just covered the distance I had to go extra. Truck was reserved several weeks prior to pick up. Clear sign of lack of organization. Staff was unfamiliar with hook up, had to call a colleague and was too busy running her variety store to assist. Very poor customer service. That said, I originally ordered from the Newmarket Ontario U-haul but was notified the day before my rental that the unit I ordered was not available and that I would have to go to the Stouffville location. Still not the trailer I had ordered. I to completely change my packing as this was too big for my needs. It leaked and damaged a lot of the contents. Very unhappy with my experience. I ordered a month in advance and was only told the day prior about a different location and trailer.Jim S.
I had a pleasant experience overall and the store owner was very nice and accommodating. However, "Wendy's One Stop Shop" is not the name of the location where the vehicle was located and caused some confusion for me. Additionally, the fuel gauge was practically on empty when the vehicle was received. This caused a bit of stress since I had to worry about filling up gas before AND after my move. Lastly, the uHaul app did not work well for me and I had to resort to the mobile website.Romeko L.

We drove 43 km in total, and we filled the gas tank before we returning the vehicle, then uhaul charged me again for fuel, so in total we supposedly used 17 liters of gas within 2 hours, driving 43 total km. So that would mean the van got 2.5 km per liter of fuel. I don't mind paying for what I used, I feel cheated and am done with uhaul. It's a matter of principle and loosing a customer over 7-8 dollars of fuel, I wish you well. Good ByeBernard H.

My truck reserved three weeks prior at location nearby was suddenly not available the night before my move. Had to travel 40kms out of my way to retrieve another truck to be told cash only and $110 higher than my original quote due to distance which was uhaul error. Wendy was lovely but rep Michael was not useful and impolite. Expecting a $50 credit for $123 bill which helps but in my opinion rental fee should have been waived as well as extra mileage as this was Uhaul error and took close to two hours away from my moving time adding to an already busy stressful time. We rented for 9 am and no one was at the location - they showed up around 9:20am (they were supposed to be open at 8am) Even though the truck was rented - it took over 1/2 hour to get it. The truck itself was filthy!!!!! There was also garbage stuffed in the storage compartments in the doors - had the Lysol everything before use - disgusting!!!!!Shelley M.
