There was snow covering the trailer. The trailer was listed online as unavailable but when I called and spoke with Wanda she was able to secure the trailer on my behalf. The door of the vehicle blew closed at the drop off location and I was locked out with the keys in the ignition. I asked the representative for help and she did not speak English very well and said she couldn't help so I contacted u-haul myself because I had purchased the Safe-trip insurance so they made arrangements for someone to come out and retrieve the keys. Customer service was very helpful and friendly. Finally I was charged a surcharge for not returning with enough gas even though it was more than what I had started with. I sent pictures to customer service and I am awaiting their response on this matter.Troy W.
Not everyone has access to go through online signing in and shouldn't be forced last minute to waste their time trying to do so when they could just check in manually at the location. This should be made known in advance to not waste customers timeNatalie K.
The furniture dolly was not supplied as ordered. Huge problem for us moving, creating a lot more effort and hurting us carry heavy loads. Just very disappointed. Would have been better to have order say not available on order. We would have sourced our own but difficult at 7am pickup. This was an after hours pickup which was convenient and worked ok. The cost was credited which was expected. Just very disappointed in the experience and will direct people to other options.John David R.

Vehicle was not that clean that actually make my mattress bit dirty. Also in driving area there were some chips pieces and bit of dirt, it wasn't an issue but I could have been responsible for it if I won't clean it but made it dirty by someone else 🙂Bilal D.

The location is good. The truck was fine. I ordered blankets and appliance dolly. They were not there. I tried calling to get things resolved. I was on hold for over 2 hours trying to deal with things. I got cut off 3 times while on hold. The people who finally picked up could not help me. I ended up having to go and buy the appliance dolly. There is no option to get a call back from customer service. The customer just has to keep calling and get transferred and have to wait again for no one to pick up. I rate your customer service -10 out of a 10 point scale. I needed a 20ft bed. The agent assured me that it was 20ft. When asked if that included the overhead. I was told it did not but the bed was 20 ft. It was not 20ft., it was 18ft. 20ft. Included the overhead. Other than that everything was fine.Gino P.

This location was great but my U-Haul experience was not. I had booked a trailer at a location in Barrie and when I got there at 1:00pm they were closed (although the sign said they were open until 6:00pm). Thankfully this location was open and had the trailer I needed. It was a motorcycle trailer and it worked great.Trent T.
I rented a truck as well as a flat dolly, furniture blankets and a upright dolly. They did not have a flat dolly or furniture blankets. They however, were very apologetic and nice people.Darlene S.
The truck I booked online wasn't available so we had a 15 ft instead so we had ro make 2 trips and incur extra.mileage. Provide the truck on time and clean. The truck was much smaller than anticipated and this caused my family to do several trips vs only one. Dropping off the truck experience could also be improved my having the tech aspect work. It did not work for my husband.Karen G.

This experience was terrible. We booked the truck two months ago at pick up and drop off locations that were convenient for us. Three days before the pick up date both locations changed - neither convenient for us. As a result we spent an extra two hours driving which wasn't helpful. When we tried to get the keys, there was no record of our reservation and we were delayed until someone at the store was able to figure out the issue. Less than impressive service. I'm cancelling my Uhaul account.Jose B.

We had problems with the equipment ( unable to start vehicle) and we told the agent that could not fill the vehicle because we were concerned we could not start the vehicle again. We had been thru road side assistance and were advise that it could be up to 2 hours to service. The road side assistant went through the checklist ( head lights on, dash lights on, etc). Lights were on, dash was displaying). Each time we turned the ignition key, the vehicle would not start and there was no sound from the started, only bells from the display. I was asked if I could move the vehicle from park to neutral. Could not move anything. Why should I be trying to move the shifter out of park? That is dangerous if I was successful as the vehicle could roll. The vehicle would been in the middle of the road.i was asked to push the brake hard. Still no starting.i tried several move times with pushing the brake, attempting to pull the shifter down. After several tries the truck started. That is not normal operation and that vehicle should be pulled off the road. If I had been successful in pulling the shifter out of park the truck would have rolled forward and an individual could have been hit or I could run into a passing car. The road side rep said this starting situation happens on the 15 foot truck regularly. With the vehicle running, drove it to the uhaul drop off location were not comfortable turning the truck off as it may have not started again. As a result we did not get gas to bring the vehicle to back to the level we received it as ( which was below the half tank). We also had a two hour drive to get bank home after dropping of the truck at Wendy's One Stop Shop. We explained the situation about the gas and we told the rep that with the starting issues we were expecting to not be charged for gas. The agent said she would look after us ( setting the expectation that we would not get charged for gas). The agent did not go thru any addition details or that we call customer service. We felt that we were going to be looked after. With a fill of 61 litres, I would have paid approx $88 Canadian for gas which would have happened if the vehicle was reliable. My expectation is that the current bill will be revised and any surcharges removed.DAVIDC R.

Original reservation was for Newkirk Rd, Richmond Hill and that reservation was made in August...2 days before scheduled pickup received call advising equipment not available. Don't understand what the point of a reservation is if you can cancel same at selected location and redirect us to location further away. Very inconvenient and frustrating and left with no alternative but to accept due to such late notice. Reservations should be honored.Daniel S.
When I returned the truck it had more fuel I it than when I rented it by almost a quarter of a tank, but I was charged 48 cents for being over on mileage. You need to find a way to balance these things out. If you are going to charge customers for the fuel t hat is not replaced, you should fill the fuel tank for the next customer. It is difficult to figure out how to fill a gas tank to 5/8, it's easy to fill a gas tank to full.ADAM F.
This location was great however I had to drive 40 minutes away from my place to go and get it even tho i had received a confirmation that the equipment was available and ready at my local dealer i got a call the day before my rental telling me I had to drive 40 minutes to go get it ... defeats the purpose of the whole reservation.Kevin T.

Super inconvenient switch the week of our move. I was supposed to pick up a truck in Newmarket and drop off in Guelph, but Stouffville back to Stouffville was the only option and added a 4 hour round trip to the end of my day after a move.Nathan B.

I was suprised to hear ifrom representative that Necause I was almost hours late picking up the vehicle i reserved (called previously to make sure they were expecting in the morning) they said they did not have a vehicle for me. When I protested all of a sudden he had gone online and said that they did. Mot sure what transpired but the fact ot was a variety store and representatives spoke poor english I was very reloeved to be on my way with the vehicle.steve W.
I originally requested a 5'x8' trailer and the U-Haul website indicated there was one at this location. The next day I received a call informing me that there were none and I could upgrade to a 6'x12' for the same cost. While I appreciate this, it was not the equipment that I actually required. My vehicle was filthy inside the cab. There was a very bad odour, similar to the smell of vomit. I had to use many Lysol wipes throughout the passenger cab, on the seats and hard surfaces. There was food and drink spills. This is really not acceptable during an epidemic.Wendy B.

Found ALL the lugnuts to be loose after an hour or two of driving, I could turn two of them by hand! This is VERY dangerous as I could have lost a wheel, had an accident or worse! I re-torqued all of them to 100 pounds. Equipment needs to be inspected and properly maintained between rentals. ThanksRay L.
