Thank you for messing up our truck rental and changing it from 20 foot to 26 foot and then not bothering to call us or have a truck ready at all. I called the 800 in a panic on the first and waited 40 minutes to not be given any help. We will never rent from or reccomend uhaul to anyone ever again. In fact please don't even bother to contact us. Your attempts will go unanswered; like our truck requests. Pretty bad for a company that sent multiple confirmations over 3 weeks. When I picked up the 10 ft truck i booked the tire was flat. The only other available truck was a 26ft truck that didn't fit where I needed it to, which is why I specifically reserved a 10ft. I asked about the $50 reservation guarantee and was told to ask uhaul. This place is horrible. It was at a slimy motel and All I could smell was someone smoking Crack.William R.

Nothing... experience was 5 star.. I would like to see some frequent user promotional discounts like the other rental companies have. I usually go to elsewhere for the discounts. It would be helpful to have a tongue jack on the trailer, as we were unable to park it hooked up overnight where we were, and we had to use our truck jack to lift it off and on the hitch. A tongue jack with a crank would have been so helpful. Not everyone has the strength to work a truck jack, or the know-how. MarieJames L.

No 10' truck so was given a 15 foot truck at no extra charge. Way bigger than I needed. Say you get $50 if your truck isn't there which I did not get. Although a bigger truck seems ok, they are not as fuel efficient so I should get this $50CHRISTOPHER P.

Make sure the lights work on your trailers! We headed out early to go to Kingston, got on the 401 and had no clearance lights. Had to wait till sunrise so we had a bit of light but still not ideal as it was raining. The price we paid was more then the service we received. Not happy at all the lights didn't work.Steven D.

The truck did not ride well on the highway; shaking and pulling to the right. At lower speeds, in town, it was not as noticeable but once we got on the highway it was a rather scary ride to our destination and back. On returning the equipment, the man asked us to park the truck down a fairly steep hill and we refused as we did not have confidence in the truck. My son, who was the driver for most of the trip, explained to the man what he thought the issue might be mechanically so I am assuming you already know those details. The truck was not cleaned since the last renter; I know this because when we first got in the truck there was a coffee cup lid on the seat and when we opened up the back of the truck there was a spilled coffee on the back of the deck. This was both surprising and concerning considering the state of the pandemic. The man running the desk was very nice to deal with and all but I won't be going back to that location to rent any equipment.CYNTHIAA E.

I was quoted 40$ to rent the truck it ended up costing me 105$ for driving it 33 kms. The motel had a crack pipe on the ground by the check in window and some twisted up sun glasses. Very yucky place to operate a Uhaul business. I took pics of these if you would like me to send them.Joanna P.

I made a reservation for a pick up truck the only place available was 25 minutes outside my town which was fine with me everything was fine even got a phone call at 5 am confirming my reservation for 6 am ... but than 20 minutes before my pickup time as I'm driving to pick up my reservation I get a text message saying my truck is ready for pick up in a city that's 1.5 hours away from me like excuse me And I called the girl was Very rude had to reschedule another U-Haul for 2 hours later in my town for a van that I didn't even need Moral of the story it took me 3 hours to get a U-Haul .... very poor service,, will be making a Facebook post about this very unprofessional .. all customer service reps are American and have no idea what I'm talking about here in Canada .. Truck was very dirty inside and clearly had not been cleaned prior to my pickup. In this era of C19 I found that shocking. The wipers also weren't working (both had blades that were worn off an hanging), and I got caught in a downpour.Brian L.

This location is a motel that is known for many drug busts and not welcoming. The owner did not check truck over when we dropped it off. We made sure we put fuel in to the mark we received it, however, when the truck was parked, it was on a hill and the gas gauge did not reflect what was shown on flat surface. We were charged an extra $48.00 for fuel.robin P.

Called twice (2weeks out and a few days out) to confirm reservation and equipment prior to pickup since the world is a little crazy right now with COVID- was told all was well and everything available. Completed online check-in as advised prior to coming. Showed up day of, checkin did not work and the clerk seemed put out that he had to register me despite showing him the screenshot of my self checkin confirmation. The truck was filthy inside with splatter of some sort all over the walls, no parking break at all in the truck and a wretched squealing sound when starting the engine (which did eventually subside). They did not have the appliance dolly I pre-ordered, despite specifically confirming this during the phone calls. No straps or alternative solution for appliances. I did get a standard dolly after seeing a small one out the side of his shop and asking about it myself-not offered/suggested. I easily would have arranged with another location, or better yet the ATTENDANT could have arranged with another location, to have the appropriate equipment available considering I called twice to confirm everything. Extremely frustratingly, the truck was under a quarter tank gas when I picked it up and I had to fill it before I could even start my move - didn't know how much gas it would take so ended up returning it just over a third tank. Worst part- the clerk was rude about the entire process. Such a bad start to a stressful day. This is the 6th or 7th time I have rented from uhaul, and far and wide the worst experience!! Expected and was prepared for some glitches or accommodation considering the current pandemic, but was NOT expecting this type of service from uhaul/affiliates.Laura C.

I could not understand him and he was very unclear on price or instructions and would not allow us to pay debit and the rest cash considering the price was not what we were told so we were short $30 on our credit card we just got lucky that we had enough cash to cover it. Number one the abdominal reading what is not correct it was out by about 20 miles the steering on this vehicle would not pass the safety test had to hang on to the steering wheel so hard to keep the truck on the road my hands were sore for a day windshield wipers didn't work properly went to roll the window down and the knob fell off for the window you could do yourself a favour by taking this vehicle off the roadharry S.

Westmont was amazing however I orginally reserved and the J.P location and well lets say I let the uhaul there thankfully west mount also provides your services and has excellent services or I would have found another way and would not be using haul again so a big thank you to west mount for a great job I will ensure everyone i know comes to your locationJessica W.
Put gas in the truck and don't leave it on an 8th. Have someone who can work the computer and allow me to receive the truck on time instead of standing there for 30 minutes, and I shouldn't have had to take pictures of all the damage and untouched dirt and dust, and defend it to the gentleman to prove it wasn't fresh damage as I'm a trailer mechanic and could tel it was old rust and very old damage, as well as panel repairs and different style rivers. Took pictures and let him know as well. Over all wasn't very pleased with this u haul experience.Daryll C.
