Jeremiah RDropped off the trailer after hours. There was no internet and a very poor cell signal making it difficult to complete the “after hours” online U Haul return from the app. Loading and sending pictures near impossible. We did not leave with the confidence that the return was completed and accepted at U Haul. Other than that, no issues.

Nancy STina is absolutely fabulous. This is my preferred Uhaul rental location--I have never had a better experience anywhere in the US. As an added bonus she has the most gorgeous, loving and friendly cat who let me pet him during my check in process.

Edward CActually keep the promise you made in accepting my reservation. I reserved a 10ft truck for Burlington VT, and you changed it the day before to a 26 ft truck in Berlin VT. That truck was too big to park where I was going. Then you promised me a 10 ft truck in West Port NY, which you again changed to a larger one at the last minute. At least this one was only 15 ft long, and I could park it. The whole rental process was excessively long and stressful. If there was an alternative service, I’d use it instead.

sue sI was told that even if I delivered the units later than my check in time, I would not have to pay for an extra day. That was a lie. The previous day it had raised all day, so I was fighting against reduced opportunity to empty the truck. You should have an extension policy for inclement weather like some other rental companies. This may be our last uhaul rental.

She called to let us know that we could pick the truck up early because there was a big storm coming the next day. She made sure all the additional items we’d rented like the dolly's and blankets were there when we picked it up. The truck was spotless and drove great! Not superrrr great in the snow, but we made due. Thanks!

gregg vThe multi-use location in Westport is easily accessible if you know where the driveway on busy Rt. 9N is. It was a surprise approaching from the south. The entrance is on a sharp turn in a narrow road and appears to be easy to miss. I'm local to the location and still needed a co-pilot to catch the driveway. The drop off lot of #52775 is easy for infrequent trailer towers, like me, to use. Tina, the receptionist at the multi business location, is attentive and thorough. Due to unfamiliarity with the U-Haul locations, I telephoned the personnel at each end. The Warrenton, VA proprietor was helpful in hitching up my truck. Also, determining the location's staffing level at time of drop off helped. I'm so glad someone was in Westport so I could position the trailer the right way.
George DWent to office and no one was there, no sign. knocked, called, waited twenty minutes. Asked people who were loading a truck and they said she was never there. I tried the Uhaul app, but it just spun. I tried online Uhaul, but it said it didn'r recognize my device (phone) and it needed to email me a password. Never got password before timeout so unable to checkout. (password arrived in my email 36hrs later). Tried uninstalling Uhaul app and reinstalling and it started but clocked on finding location after I allowed it to use my location. Woman working there said her Uhaul app hadn't worked for weeks either. She also said that other people had said that they didn't get Westport as a dropoff choice either. She had to call Uhaul to manually return my truck over the phone. She was unable to see any of the alleged credits I was supposed to get so called the pickup location to try. No luck. Couldn't help me with the $80 half tank of gas I was out either. She was the first person to verify that Uhaul was billed for my tolls and that I'd get billed later. Overall a horrible Uhaul experience.
Andrew MVan was dirty on the outside but not a big deal. But you asked if it was clean. Loved the new vans with cruise control. Much better than the outgoing model. Very comfortable and a pleasure to drive. Good gas mileage on the highway. Key drop box opening would not accept the key. Left it in the key pickup receptacle lock box. Would rent again.

Not only was her customer service attentive, always trying to get me the best deal within my budget, but she also is a truly wonderful person. I did not expect to meet such a kind soul during my Uhaul experience but I'm glad I did! I will be heading back to Tina the next time I need to rent a truck!

Don RI was very satisfied with my experience at Westport self storage. I was originally scheduled to rent a 15-ft truck when I got there there was a 26-foot truck available which would better suit my needs, and accommodating me for the switch from 15-ft truck to 26 ft truck was no big deal.

Dorrie W1) Make sure that location has a lockbox for accessing vehicle keys 24/7. 2) Make sure that ordered (and paid for) moving equipment is actually on the truck when iit is to be picked up. I ordered furniture pads and a furniture dolly. Neither was on the truck when I picked it up. Make sure that when the location manager is called away for a family medical emergency that the regional field manager knows what is going on and can help customers with reservations access the equipment they have rented. (This is not the location manager's fault; rather, a systemic failure by U-Haul, as are the rest of my comments.) Upgrade U-Haul's website so that it is more user friendly and actually helps customers who have real-time problems. Reorganize U-Haul's customer service systems so that a customer with a serious real-time problem can reach a person who can actually solve it without being repeatedly transferred to another agent who is no more able to help. The location manager had an emergency situation that required her to (understandably) leave the premises to be with a seriously ill family member. This was not her fault. But U-Haul had no ability to to respond effectively to customers who were expectjng to rent a vehicle and equipment problems and experience unexpected problems in accessing it.
