The truck I rented has a transmission problem. I barely left the facility and had to drive back to uhaul. They don't have anything available to replace my rental, I ended up not using the truck and requested a refund but so many reasons why they can't refund me. I didn't even use the truck to haul my stuff. The charge on my card is still there and no refunds yet! Not very helpful staff as well.Mark H.

The cab of the truck I rented was dirty and sticky. The truck kept having the no seatbelt warning go off while the seatbelt was on. I immediately drove back to the rental location since we would have gone crazy listening to that for a 5+ hour drive and they said they couldn't do anything about it and to call uhaul. Not sure if actually applying the emergency brake when I parked was the trick but the beeping did not return. The lock provided (chained to the truck) would not lock and I had to go buy one on my own.Maria L.

Truck had a filthy windshield and the fuel system had been tampered with resulting in a check engine light that flashed periodically. Staff were aware of a gas cap light being "defective," but if they would have taken a bit more care, they would have seen that in someone's attempt to siphon gas, they had disconnected a hose for vapor recirculation that triggered the engine light and also can be a very dangerous source of ignition. Thankfully, renter is a mechanic and saw the disconnected hose relatively quickly.Micah S.
Located as part of a gas station/convenience store. Dropped off prior to 6pm closing time for uhaul rentals via phone app. Went inside to give key vice sticking in drop boxâ€¦was told I had to carry in dozen moving pads and utility dolly. Never in my over 35 years of using uhaul have I been told to do that. My back was already in pain from previous long day in truck and was not expecting to have to move stuff, which I don't do much after back surgeryâ€¦I usually have my sons help with moving stuff but had my elderly father-in-law for ride back, so I had to do it. Unsatisfactory and I will never use that location again.Michael M.

This location was great. It was the service from the Fresno office that was terrible. Calling last minute to change my pick-up time and then closing before I could get back to them. Also, changing my pick-up location several times and having the truck at a different location.Christy R.

Not sure why I needed to unload blankets and moving cart and refrigerator dolly and drop off inside store; I suspect there is a shortage of employees. I was so tired from moving and I had to move more U-Haul equipment. Customers expect a return and drop off of keys not doing U-Haul work, but I do understand this location may be short of a full service U-Haul. I'm grateful to the store for having a location open to serve me.JOHN L.

We came to drop off the uhaul and when we said we were from Costa Mesa, she gruffly said "I don't take one-way trucks", but this is where we were told to go. Working with â€œNormaâ€ for the duration (not knowing, day to day, how long we'd be needing the truck) â€¦ was a joy and without pressure. Basically - Norma allowed us to feel stress-free with our house move â€¦ in how she supported us calmly with clear information regarding ANY and ALL questions we had for her over what ended up being a 5-6 day extended usage of our U-Haul rental. What you can do to improve the rental experience for the next customer â€¦ is make sure you have professional, well informed - KIND - staff like Norma at Whiterose in Tehachapi â€¦ representing your rental franchise - JuliaJulia R.

All went well while renting , I thought I could handle a 30 ft truck but quickly realized it was out of my league. I got out asked (begged) the clerk to give me the smaller truck! She did. I actually kept it an extra day no problems. I did notice that the truck shifted very rough for having such low miles and advised them it may need fluid, possibly. It needs something. I have no complaints I have rented many times and all has gone well at all ends. Thank you for asking.Edith E.

[This and that home decor) started my reservation and they went obove and beyond, due to inventory availability they pointed me to [wildrose station]. At wildrose I witnessed the clerk multitask and was amazed by the lady's performance it was something to see, even with all that was going on I was in and out in a flash. Uhual itself could improve their website, too many unnecessary questions during checkout, hard to locate the â€œno thanks, continue with my reservationâ€ button which if you accidentally go through checkout too quickly it automatically adds things into your cart, had to call 2 stores, customer service and then another sales number to get a refund for the moving products and a storage unit that I did not add to my order to reserve. I only needed a 10 by 10 uhual truck!! Pick-up/Drop-off locations are also unreliable, when picking up the Uhual I ended up from one Uhaul center to another location to pick up the Uhual. And same thing during drop off, one location sent me to another when I had chosen a drop off location when picking up the Uhual truck. Customer service is okay, call center is terrible. Kept disconnecting my call, had to call back atleast 5x before actually getting a representative on the phone for a refund for the unnecessary items & storage unit added to my cart.SURESH P.

We made a reservation for noon because the clerk said we could pick it up immediately because she had trucks available. Then find out the trucks were â€œrotationâ€ trucks which I assume are â€œround tripâ€ only. I would have found another location to pick up from if I hadn't already given my card info and paid. I don't like to complain but i was very upset i got there to pick up the uhual and no one was there to help me i was there for more then an hour to be able to do it online and do a self check out.. i don't recommend this location. The lady the was trying to help me was really nice but didn't had any knowledge of how to help me since she run the liquor store.Maria O.

The staff was helpful and professional. However, only one wore a face mask, and mask wear was clearly not required of the customers. Also, plexiglass barriers on protect if the staff remains behind the barrier, and the barrier was installed only on one side of the counter.Angela T.
