We had requested pick up at a different location, but was directed to pick up at this one. the trailer was definitely worn and beat up. We checked out a location in Oakland in person and they had the wires for the lighting, etc, this pick up location did not have the equipment needed so we had to go to a local store to purchase it. It was also very difficult to get in touch with U-Haul to confirm our pick up and then later to get in touch with the pick up location to change our pick up time due to vehicle issues.

My reservation was made through the U-Haul 1-800 phone number. The person making the reservation completely mis-spelled my last name even though I spelled it for her. The 26 foot truck, a Ford F650 was great and even fully loaded and pulling a car on a dolly performed very well.

The truck was dirty when I picked it up. I drove as though something was not working right with the engine or transmission. I still don't understand why I had to drive 40 miles out of my way to pick up a truck in Somerville, TN when there was a truck of the same size sitting outside of the Bolivar Hardware Store (the pick-up location I had requested) all weekend and it was still there on Monday morning when I left town. U-haul has really become much less customer oriented and I think you need to upgrade your attitude towards your consumers.

Truck had some service issues, namely traction control upon braking. Truck needs to be serviced soon. Busy weekend, so only truck available. No issues, but needs to get in the shop soon.

Very frustrating dealing with your people trying to get them to approve our request for a 4-wheel car hauler. We wanted to transport a motorcycle with a sidecar which we have done before with a U-Haul rental, but because what we wanted to transport was not on their list of approved items to transport, they kept telling us they would not rent it to us. After talking to numerous people and being hung up on several times, we finally talked to someone who listened to reason and when we gave her the width of the wheels, she was smart enough to know that the cycle with sidecar could be transported. Sorry I don't know her name. She gave it to me but I do not remember. Without her help, I feel certain that we would still be trying to convince someone in your organization to let us rent the equipment that we needed to transport our rig.

Service was OK... just at a run down junk yard basically. The customer service was top notch over the phone. I had to speak to them to complete my order because the business holding the U haul didn't have the equipment to process the order. I appreciated that U haul gave me a 26 foot trailer for the same rate as a 17 ft trailer as requested.
