This is the second time this year I have reserved a truck at this location days before pick up and the day before I go to pick up U-Haul informs me the truck is no longer available at this location. It may not be Winn fuels mistake, rather U-Haul. It’s very inconvenient and cost me a lot more money and time to drive 30 extra miles to get a truck. U-Haul should seriously look into a solution for this

Terrell JThis was a self help drop off location. Access for pulling thru and not having to back the trailer in off the street is a plus. The online tools for drop off were helpful. I do find it burdensome that U-Haul has removed the hand jacks from the trailer hitches making it difficult for some to remove the hitch from the ball. I would have had to solicit the help of a passerby had I not had ample support with me. With no one on site, and the personnel to offer support across a busy intersection in another location and somewhat disengaged and uninformed about the drop off policies and procedures, it took a bit of time and effort to make a simple trailer drop. All said and done, this was the only location available within a convenient distance from the remote final destination site.

Quavoscea CWe had a very good experience. The following are not complaints, just our experience. Don't know if anything can be done about it, but I like to know how my business flows. There was some confusion about our drop-off because they are not open on the weekend. Gas station attendants at the site were very friendly and helpful despite not being sure of the process. Once they got hold of the owner, instructions were very clear. The response was quick. NO complaints.

Delmas HUpdate your website! I went online to reserve a trailer,made the reservation and was advised several hours later that the trailer was not available. Drove by the lot and there were 5 of the trailers there and they were available.
darren cThis comment has nothing to do with the location. The Winnfield location was great. But my one star rating would be for our initial reservation through the Natchitoches location. We changed from a trailer to a 20’ truck and quoted a price of 380.00. We spoke to uhaul three times confirming and on the third time was told that they had made it for a 26’ which was over $50 more. How convenient for Uhaul to mistakenly make it for a larger truck and not have the 20’ as we had been told. Imagine if Uhaul pulled this stunt around the country to multiple renters… image the number of extra $50 to be made and how much that would amount to. Then on top of that, the 26’ truck that was rented was so rough, the seat belt kept me from hitting the cab roof. This “gentle ride” was the absolute roughest truck I have ever ridden in. I will never consider Uhaul again after this experience.
billy bMaintenance was a little lacking as there were two missing tire lug nuts, one from each of the tires. Otherwise good.

Sam HIt was guaranteed that I would get the appointment that was initiated on the website for 1:15pm but after making reservations later to be informed it would be at 2:15 instead. Given the daylight time frame that 1 hour difference didn't make my return trip unpleasant.
Rickey HThe instructions say to call a number when you arrive in Winnfield. I did that four times and the phone was never answered and there was no way to leave a voicemail. This caused me to be late for work because the drop off location is just a lot filled with U-Haul trailers with nobody manning it and I waited for awhile to see if anyone would show up. There’s a building, but it was locked. My wife and I had to then figure out if you could do an online drop off and finally figured that out, so then I had to leave work to get that done. Not a good experience and if there is a number that has to be called just to get somebody to come out there, someone should answer it. I’ve never had an experience like this before and hope I never do again. Very frustrating.
EMMA MWould have liked to be able to pick up the equipment closer to where I broke down (had to drive 45 minutes to pickup location), but have no complaints about staff at this location. He was very helpful and friendly.

He Over Charged Me for the Rental & hasn’t Corrected it yet!!??!!) caused me to get Charged an extra Charge for dropping it off at the Natchitoches, LA instead of the Shreveport, LA location. When my move clearly was on my reservation from Winnfield, La to Natchitoches, LA. So what would he have me to be dropping the rental off over 80 miles away from my location. When the original location drop off was set to be at Natchitoches, LA

Tammy LThere was no one at the location when I went to return my equipment during normal business hours. Me, being a woman wasn’t strong enough to unload the trailer from my vehicle, I had to go and seek help from the service station next door. They were busy and unable to help me, I eventually got the trailer unhooked from my vehicle myself. I tried to call the # on my contract but no one answered. Next time I will choose a neighboring town to return my equipment to and make sure there is someone there during normal business hours.

Don't make customer drive to get truck from another city when it was reserved to be picked up at a local location. 2.When truck break down don't have customer wait over 3 hours for road assistance on the side of a busy highway. 3. Don't have customer wait 3 hours to get equipment when told equipment can is ready to be picked up.
merry bI originally had reservations to pick it up in Natchitoches, but they didn’t have any trucks available! I had to drive 45 minutes out of town in order to pick this truck up.
nicole jOnly complaint I have is that the Uhaul I rented, (10' Box Truck) was Rough riding. The rental of the truck went Very well. Was ready to go when I picked up. Only other thing I would think is if we as renters left more fuel in the truck than when we picked up we would be credited for that. Like I left a Quater of a tank more than when I picked up. It had 3/4 tank when pick up let it with a full tank. Other than this everything went well in reserving and picking up. Thanks Kindly Rocky D. Berry

don aThe pick up location in Winnfield was as good as I could expect from a North Louisiana small town. You had to call the convenience store to try to get the Uhaul agent. He was pleasant and it was not his fault the Uhaul location in Alexandria had dropped the ball. Now about the Uhaul location I had my reservation with in Alexandria, La: I made the reservation a week in advance. I called and confirmed the day before pick up in the morning(12/27) and at 2 pm they called me and told me the truck that I had reserved was not functioning and my only two options were to wait till 1 pm the next day to pick up a truck from Bunkie, La or drive to Winnfield ( 50 miles away) and get a comparable truck from them, but I would need to hurry, because Winnfield might close early and I would have to get in touch with the person there to be sure someone would be there if I drove to Winnfield. I had to inconvenience a relative to drive 100 miles round trip to Winnfield to help me pick up the truck. I lost over two hours of packing time and I was paying helpers to help me pack. I had to drive the truck on the interstate myself, which I had not planned to do. I had movers scheduled for 12/28 and could not change those plans at short notice. All in all, I would not use Uhaul again in Alexandria, LA.

Trying to work with u haul management and scheduling was very frustrating. Although I may have to use uhaul again, I was not happy at all with the overall experience

Daniel HYour mobile check in is horrible... I took 4 pictures, 3 of them were clear and could be read, and it kept asking me to make another picture. Then it told me I could not rent from U Haul. I checked in with the attendant and had no problems...
