For one thing do not advertise for an area something they do not have.I wanted a pick-up got a 10 ft. van when I got there.Plus changed the location. I didn't know til I went to the wrong u-haul..I had just got off work, not happy about that.Samantha L.

I reserved the truck pick up at one location - 2 days prior to this date I called to confirm my reservation and was told I had to pick it up at another location 1/2 hour away, an hour later than I had hoped. When I arrived to get the truck I was told I could have gotten the keys much earlier because it was an app pick up. I wish trafficking would have relayed this information, but they specifically told me pick up would be 9AM.LISA B.

They did not leave the keys in box for me. Had to call u-haul an waited on line for 20 min and then took them another 30 min to come open up an give me the keys. They called me next day an said my reservation was lost in a cloud somewhere an needed my cc info. I am going to need another uhaul in sept. But debating if I should use a diff company.Evelyn C.

This location is excellent. They make it incredibly easy to check in and check out. Best of all is that their trucks are incredibly CLEAN and smell fresh. Always my first choice for a rental! HIGHLY recommend them!Cheri S.

My pick up location was change twice including the morning of the pick up. Truck that substituted was way to large. I as told I would be charge at the 10 foot rate and see. $50 credit to my bill. Haven't seen it yetTIMOTHY D.

I have used U-Haul many times and referred my family and friends I am very upset when I scheduled my first pick up at a Lima ohio location for 2:00 Day of rental. Recd and call and was told I can't have till 5 . This unit was rented for 24.95 Since the time wouldn't work. Found one in defiance for 44.95 pulse and extra hour drive out of my way. I was told oh well that happens Not sure if I will use U-Haul againbrian F.
The only problem that I encountered with picking up my rental was with the location for picking up the rental. I received one text message as to where I should pick up my rental which was 17 miles away from the nearest U Haul location. I later changed my order to drop the transport trailer since my son was going to handle my car for me. I mentioned that my preferred pick up was a U Haul location just a few blocks away. I did not receive another text message for my pickup location after my change to the order. So on the morning to pick up the rental, I thought by chance the rental would be at my preferred location and it was not. Upon driving to Defiance we encountered a long detour due to a main bridge in the downtown area under reconstruction. In spite of this, I did get my rental and I did get it loaded late in the day but it would have saved me some time if I could have had the rental ready at my preferred location!Calvin F.

It would have been helpful for someone to inspect the hitch, help hook up the trailer, and check lights. The lady who checked us in was pleasant but I didn't expect her to lift the trailer on to the hitch. Otherwise, ok.Gary C.
I had a concern with the gas usage for this 10 ft truck. We only drove about 16 miles total yet needed a little over 3 gallons of gas to refill the gas tank. I have doubts the tank was full when we got the truck.James N.

Was not real happy that no one called me to check with me to see if the pick up location was ok before they sent a text message out saying that is where I am getting it. Using google maps and iphone map apps while trying to return it I had trouble. I went to three uhaul locations that no longer existed before I found one that was still open. This caused me to go over my miles. I would recommend if you can removing all uhauls from the map apps that are no longer in business also if you could include their telephone number and hours of operation on the map apps that would be great.Mattheas L.

I wish there were more vehicles to choose from. I did not need such a large truck, yet nothing else was available. I think the rental prices are okay, but maybe an adjustment can be made if vehicles needed are not available.Maricela D.

This was my first time having to get a Uhaul. I was not pleased that when I called, got my pick up scheduled and each time I verified I was picking up the trailer in Napoleon, OH. Each time I was told yes. I called 15 minutes before pick up just to make sure & was told yes again. Go to Napoleon location only to be told they have no trailer and I needed to pick up in Defiance. All my emails even indicated Napoleon. So we got the trailer in Defiance with no issues. Just irritating that I was told pick up was in my hometown only to get it, be told I need to pick it up over 20 min away in a different town opposite of direction we were going and put us behind an hour in heading to ILkristyn H.

The prices quoted were not the actual prices given. We were under the impression that the truck we were renting was 19.95 and 79cents per mile. When we went to get the truck, the original truck we were to rent was not available due to another customer not returning it even though we had called earlier in the week and had the truck reserved. We were then sent from Carpet Wholesalers in Napoleon to Defiance to get a truck that was larger than we wanted. In the process we had to spend additional gas to get to and from as well as the fact we could not return the truck to the closer drop because it was reserved, however our reserved truck was never honored, why were we the ones inconvenienced? We felt the whole experience was one lie after another and we will NEVER rent from Uhaul again.THOMAS M.

The Van used was perfect for our moving project. Returned on Sunday. The facility was closed but not an issue we can use the key drop box. Surprise! the key doesn't fit in the lock box. What to do. Called the 800 number and the person says " You can come back tomorrow! I live 130 miles from Defiance! I told them I would place the keys in the mailbox -- end of story. Where do I begin? I requested pickup in Napoleon, Oh. When I arrived, I was told I was not in their system but instead needed to go 15 mi away to get it. They also informed me that I received a voicemail the day before. In checking with my carrier, Verizob, I was informed I received no call, no call was dropped or voicemail received. The next day, I received an email from a local manager asking that I call him. 10 minutes later I called and left a voicemail. 5 days later, I have received no response. In Florida, I was instructed to return my trailer to a location 30 mi away when there were multiple locations within 5 mi. Your transportation director told me they were all full, yet I found a location within 2 mi of location that accepted my return. 30 mi away after a 1000 mile trip is not convenient. Am I happy with your product, yes. Am I happy with your process, no! Your communication process leaves a lot to be desired. Your rep in Homosassa was a gentleman and helpful in finding a local location to return your trailer.Jeffrey P.

only problem I had- I came in and reserved the truck for 2 days - a week ahead of needing the rental. I get a call the day before I pick the truck up from a regional person telling me they need the truck on Saturday and I need to have it back to the store by 130pm. I got charged for two days rental which means I get the truck for a 48 hour period. They called again on Saturday about the issue and I said I have rented the truck for 2 days and I am being charged for two days so that is that. I am a repeat user of u haul and this incident has pretty much made me- of all the years using U-Haul- to think twice the next time I need to rent a vehicle for moving purposes. last year when I rented a truck and filled one of these feedback forms to you guys - I told you the truck I rented - had blood all over the drivers seat and driver door - so I when I got the truck to my home to move stuff I had to bleach disinfect the cab - no response at all from you guys last year about this incident- so there are 2 strikes - and I am really contemplating not worrying about a third strike with U-Haul and go another route.... the people where I rented the truck from were outstanding in service - and she will be receiving a flower delivery later this week for her outstanding efforts in making it an easy rental deal.....jen A.
