The app booking confirmation price was changed and without excepting the changes I would not have been able to rent the truck. Since it was moving day I had no choice but to accept. I am now dealing with customer service about the charges. The vehicle was clean but the engine light was on for the entire day. I was glad I didn’t have to travel far because the truck was old and felt like it could breakdown at any moment. But it didn’t
SHEILA BIt took forever for their computer system to work After finally they figured out the computer issue the trailer they gave me lights were not working So had to switch me to different trailer Also day before I for literally 14 reminder to upload my license (I txted STOP but msgs kept coming in)

ayanna hThe on line process for u haul is not friendly or a good experience. Would never recommend ordering a I haul on line through the 1-800 number. They are very ignorant, rude and too demanding. Every time you speak to a on line representative the u haul price increases significantly. Bad on line experience, but I know you don't care.

RICHARD RNo complaints on the location or representatives themselves. Extremely friendly, good experience at this location. My issue is the experience up to arranging this pick up. Booked it almost 2 months ago to avoid any hiccups specifically referring to the 26' truck, get a call the day before pick up to tell me it's not available in Burlington (as I requested) and I have to travel to Paris to get it. Paris is approx. an hour drive from where I live. This is also the day before I move, also a day that I booked off from work to finalize last minute packing. Instead I had to waste 2+ hrs of my day to pick up the truck rental, plus gas and mileage wasted on my vehicle. What is the point of a reservation if you have no intention in following through with it? I understand you have policies, lots of moving factors to consider but it doesn't suit your customers, therefor, how can people trust to use your services especially in a vulnerable time. Your policies need to be amended and/or to make internal arrangements to have the truck brought down by one of your own employees to ensure customers are receiving the best experience possible. If you cannot guarantee a rental, why would anyone make a reservation? Or use your services in general? It is completely unreasonable to tell the customer less than 24 hours before reservation to pick up rentals outside of their requested location, within reasonable means. Such disappointment to see such unreliable processes in such a large operation.

Natasha LAll went smoothly except that they did not have on hand all of the moving equipment (a dolly) that I requested and U-Haul agreed to provide. It appears that there may be an inventory issue in U-Haul.

John DEmployees need to be clean on the charges. I was charged $114 and told that’s all in. But I was charged a second timefor “fuel” when they said that it’s $114 is TOTAL.

Iqbal CI had to install the app and call customer care because my location wasn’t registering. It is annoying to have to install an app for a one-time use service.

doug sWright's Variety is not responsible for this negative rating. Brant Motorcycles is. I originally booked a 26' truck with them. When I arrived the truck was there, but Brant Motorcycle was closed for the civic long weekend. This was on Saturday. They did not leave the keys for me. I called Uhaul support and they could not track down either so I had to find another location, and thankfully Wright's Variety had a smaller vehicle. This meant I had to make more trips unfortunately. I'm very disappointed in the experience with Brant Motorcycle but thankful to Wright's Variety. Customer service I received there was excellent.

Daniel HI would just like to see more availability of the 5x9 ramp trailer at more locations. I last rented one from Tillsonburg on Broadway St but now the closest one to me was in Paris! Or if I had to drive 41km from Tillsonburg to Paris to get the trailer at least make (one way) available so I can drop it off in Tillsonburg and not have to bring it all the way back to Paris then back to Tillsonburg again! It cost me more in fuel than it did to rent the trailer! Other than that the rental agent was very professional and polite.

john sIt wasn't obvious to me where to drop off the keys, until an employee pointed out the drop box location. That said, when I tried to fill it up to the correct fuel level and apparently missed a bit, the location topped it up and I received the receipt via email very conveniently. On that note, I found it hard to reconcile what the truck's fuel gauge should indicate (with it's arc-shape and limited number of 'tick' markers) vs the rental sheet that had a linear graph with a bunch of subdivisions.

Phillip DWas disappointed that the staff person watched us fuel the truck before returning it but when we received the final invoice there was a charge for 8L of fuel. Would have been appreciated if we were given the chance to add more fuel. The location wasn't busy so there really was no reason to not mention it other than wanting to charge the inflated fuel prices.

Stephen RWell first I wanted a trailer but couldn’t get one then rented from a different place because it was closer and made more sense but was told I had to pick up here added 20 miles at almost $1.50 a mile really sucked and didn’t even get a free mile for the inconvenience I don’t think I’ll ever rent a u-haul again very poor experience for me
Jordan THad difficulty with the app reservation. However the 1800 assistant ensured that my pickup was completed successfully. Truck was an easy drive experience with exceptional mirrors to assist. Well done!

pascal cIt was more expensive than I expected. Because 403 east bound was closed when we were driving to St Catharines we had to take a much longer and slower route. Turns out that it was 2 miles more than our return trip . It are felt a lot longer than that!! I do find the driver’s seat to be uncomfortable— fortunately I did not have further to go.

rick sOur experience was overall very good. U-Haul made adjustments to our rental vehicle when the cargo van we initially wanted was unavailable at the site and we were satisfied with the outcome. The price we paid was good, about half of what we would have paid had we had it delivered!

Elio CArrangements through Dan were easy and convenient. He was most helpful. An explanation that the per kilometre rate doesn’t correspond with the billing can lead to initial confusion. The vehicle is clocked in miles not kilometres. An easy conversion but a heads up about that would be helpful.
