Truck was a total wreck. Many mechanical issues. No brakes, no emergency brake, check engine light. Truck ran extremely rough. I DO NOT RECOMMEND USING UHAUL, THEY ARE PURE GARBAGE - NO CUSTOMER SERVICE

Local: Make sure all reserved equipment is included and already in the vehicle. Corporate: The phone check-in process was not satisfactory. It took us 40 minutes to complete because it kept requiring access to things like a camera on our phone but would not continue with the process once we took care of those needs.

There is absolutely nothing that the location needs to do differently. UHAUL on the other hand, needs to get its shit together. If it wasn't for the fact that they were open despite not being an essential business right now, I'd still be fighting your Effing app trying to do everything it was asking before the damn thing froze up and I had to start over again. You're a multi-million if not billion dollar company. How have you managed to cuck your service up so badly that I HAVE to rely on a proper human to do something that seemed so simple? I can't wait to fix my truck and not EVER have to deal with you people again.

The computer system was a real hassle when we arrived to pick up the vehicle. There was also a problem handling my online reservation. Then on our returning the vehicle there was a another hassle with the internet system. It took an extended period of time to complete the work. The staff was very helpful and very apologetic for all the hangups. It would be good to look into the set up for the system. Otherwise all went well with the vehicle and the use of it.

I have no complaints about the woman who tried to get through apparent unworkable software to check out the vehicle and check the vehicle back in. But the whole system was cumbersome and took a long time. She was so apologetic and embarrassed that she could not process my request in a timely fashion. Will not rent from Uhaul again.

This is my go-to site when I need to rent a van! The same owner has other sizes of trucks available at the “Southwest Carry-Out” location, also in Xenia, and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND using one of these locations for your UHaul rental needs!

Clerk needs to learn computer program and how to quickly check-out a customer. This is the third time renting here and it takes 30 min. to check-out even though I was the only customer. I register online as well but it never speeds up the process.

All vehicles rented in areas and months where snow and ice are possible should have at least a basic window scraper in the vehicle. It is a safety issue. A renter could have a problem even getting to a location to retrieve or purchase a scraper. I believe this is routine for rental cars and should be for U-haul.

The online process was great and the truck was in outstanding shape. The issue was that the workers at the location seemed to have no idea how the online process worked. Their selection of trucks was very low and location was not very convenient.

I'm not sure if it was my lack of understanding, but I was never able to engage the cruise control, even after reading the instruction manual. Also, I had to wait several minutes on the clerk who assisted me in signing out the vehicle. Then, instead of serving me, she served the customers that came in subsequent to me already waiting.

I reserved on-line to pick up at 8:00AM, which is before the location opened at 10. Your website led through an entire process that was so I could pick it up before opening. Not only did that FAIL (requiring to wait 2 more hours), the 1-800 number you have plastered on your email replied I wasn't authorized to call!! Your on-line experience is terrible. I won't use it again.

The staff was extremely friendly and worked hard to try to fix the computer errors that seemed to come up on every person there about a uhaul. They had to make 4 phone calls to try to make it work and still ended up having to write it up by hand. You need to have webinars or at least let your outlets know when there are changes and make sure they know how to manage the changes. Very poor management on corporate level.

Your company wouldn't take my Visa because it is a pre-paid credit/debit card. The staff was unaware of this when I made the reservation to pick it up at 10:00 AM. I was there and my card didn't work. I had to call a friend had to loan me her credit card this caused me to wait until 1:00 PM to get the cargo van. The renter wanted it back by 10:00 AM the next day therefore I didn't get a 24 hour rental.There were hidden charges in environmental fees which were not disclosed to me. The transmission was confusing to use, there were distracting bright red tree air fresheners dangling from the cab mirrors, and no window wiper fluid was provided. The quick user guide didn't cover how to use any of the controls in the cab and the seat didn't move back far enough to accommodate my height.

The dealer (where I picked up the unit) did a great job, great customer service, great location, but not so much for U-Haul's Corporates customer service and their website. Maybe U-Haul Corporate should pay more attention to their own issues and worry lease about their dealers and do a survey on how U-Haul Corporate performs.

The gentleman who rented us the truck stated that my credit card would not be charged until the truck was returned. He neglected to tell us that the funds would be put on hold which basically froze the funds in my account. When I called the U-Haul number he gave me the woman who answered was very abrupt and her response was a very rude "I can't do anything about that". I rented a truck from this location in Sept. 2014 and did not have this problem I rent trucks twice a year to take merchandise to shows and I will be renting elsewhere next time.

Although fairly new, the person that handled our U haul rental was very friendly, efficient, customer-service oriented. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone that asks where they should go to rent a U-haul. We have used U-Haul several times in the past and never had an unpleasant experience, but the service today was outstanding.

This location was a drive-up beer store. There was only one employee who needed help backing trailers into tight spaces and moving trucks so as to accomodate the large truck being dropped off. The attendant was rather helpless. The attendant was instructed by the store owner to wait on beer drive-up customers before waiting on the U-Haul customer. After I backed the trailer into a very tight space, I moved the truck twice to ensure it didn't interfere with beer customers. I then had to wait for about 30 minutes to finally get checked in and had to pay a $57.00 over mileage fee. The truck I drove would have the brake light come on along with an annoying beep. This happened several times and I had to pull over on the busy interstate and stop the vehicle, turn the engine off and then restart it to get the light and warning beep to stop. I was also asked to sweep the inside of the truck........again! This was not a great experience. Don't let this business operate a U-Haul office. Not enough room to park vehicles.

Get different employees. The man at the desk was self centered! I will never go to this location again this was my first and last uhaul truck I know I can get better service elsewhere. It snowed that day the man wanted us to sweep the snow off the truck and inside the truck that was ridiculous. Bad service.

Just make sure you go over the truck with a fine tooth comb before you drive off!! There were some scratches on the side of the box that weren't marked & pointed them out at which time they were marked. Had I not pointed them out BEFORE leaving with the truck, I may have been accused & charged for them!!

The gentleman at the location was very pleasant and did his best. THe only problem was that he kept having to take care of the covenience store side of the business/customers a number of times when we were checling out so it took a while.

they were going to charge me $228 for one way. this is not acceptable, and not consistent with other uhaul franchises. the clerk was disorganized and inept.

They don't open until noon, delaying the move I had to make. While the truck was visibly cleaned, it smelled strongly of cigarettes. It would be nice if trucks that smelled that bad were deodorized before being sent back out.

Do not let these people rent anything with the U-Haul name! They messed up our reservation, didn't bother to put anything on-line they said they would, couldn't figure out how to enter the proper charge amount for the rental, and caused us to wait over 2 hours to turn in the rental while they waited on other people at their own location. We have never had such a bad experience!! The only saving grace was the overly patient young man named Byron Conaway at the Odenton, Maryland location. In trying to help us he was put on hold, yelled at on the phone, asked to call back then no one would answer. For 2 hours he tried to get our rental straightened out. He's a saint! The Xenia store should be ashamed - they do not know what customer service is about. By the way Xenia, get rid of the drive-through package window. It's really annoying when you stop what your working on to sell someone beer!!
