I can't think of any improvements. Erica was FANTASTIC every step of the way. The U-Haul app would not work when Erica tried to have me photo my driver's license and again when I was supposed to photo the license plate on the van. She worked around it beautifully. The experience was excellent. Thanks Erica!
Carmen MUhaul needs to give this location dedicated iPads or tablets like used in restaurants. The associates had to use their smart phones to access the uhaul app in order to checkout and finalize the rental. It would be much easier for them and the customer if they could access uhaul on their computer or a dedicated tablet. There was a uhaul honor plaque showing this business had been uhaul loyal for over 30 years. They need not be frustrated for this loyal service with updated virtual electronics.

Staci J | Overall ExperienceFix the App experience, it is ridiculously bad. Tried 25 times to get a scan of the back of my license, the App kept closing. Had to wait on hold for the Truck Team (Contact Us tab in the App) to be able to help me. So checking in/picking up the truck took almost an hour. Xenia Stor N Lock, great. The pick up process and the App, absolutely dreadful.

Daniel VThis location was highly disorganized. Upon completing the check in process, a link was sent to my phone with photos of the van I was supposed to be picking up. However, the photos I was reviewing were of a different van with a different license plate number and different appearance. I came back inside to alert the staff. A man, who I believe is the owner, asked me if it matters if the photos match and told me a story about how they just got a new van. I said that it did matter because it would be a lie to approve these photos. I was then told by an employee that the previous customer had taken the wrong vehicle. Eventually it was sorted out and the correct vehicle was assigned to me. This was about 30 minutes after I initially arrived. While it was resolved, I felt very uncomfortable with the interaction and that it was inappropriate for the owner to ask if "it mattered" whether the photos matched the van.

Joseph HOvercharged on miles. Estimate of 60 miles charged not actual 35 miles. Credit $20 please. I waited 60 minutes for business was not open at 9 but 10. The sole helper was so slow in getting set up & had to call in for a dolly code. I will never use this site again!
Scott DPrices are WAY to high... $19.95 is actually a minimum of $50 bucks. The people running the actual business has no business running a business! Way to slow!!! Uneducated how the system even works. Next time I'll just buy a new truck myself. Prices way to high and the process was way to long.
Gary NI did not have a good experience. But it was not the locations fault. It was the uhaul site. Trouble at pick up, trouble at drop off, drove 50 miles. Charged for 100. Reserved/ charged for a dolly, never received. In my mind. I got ripped off.

I didn't use it the whole 22 hours and I only used it for about 21 miles instead of 40 Did fill it back up and cleaned it

carol wChecking out was a nightmare I had just filled up the tank of gas and they say it's not full. I've got receipts. One of the 3 people Checking me out said I had rented it for 9 days. She said I was a few hrs over. On the turn in time of 3:00pm as arranged by a call yesterday with customer service on the phone. I was 42 minutes late tbh...but they kept on trying to add this or that. I dont deal with this location and longer and I'll probably not be dealing with U-Haul as apposed to other options in the future. I rent quite alot and I'm not at all happy with the service at this location in your franchising! I've already rented a storage from Smart Storage due to the attitude of your Detroit St U-Haul location. Im Highly likely not to use your services anywhere in the future now.

VICTOR HSlow to get helped when picking up the reservation. went through almost the whole check-in process before she tells me she doesn't provide dollies (which I reserved) and that I would have to use mileage to go pick it up from a different location. I only booked the rental here because my favorite location did not have availability. I learned from my mistake. And yes, paying extra mileage/gas does bother me.

Michael C | Overall ExperienceThe location was fine. The issue was with signing up and checking in online. The process didn’t work, didn’t save me time. I ended up having to go inside to handle everything putting me 49 minutes behind schedule. Then U-haul didn’t even adjust in the system and shorted me an hour of my rental time. I don’t plan to use a rental in the future. I’ll call a friend and pay them.
ANNE WThe only issue we had was that the previous person returned the van an hour after we were scheduled to pick it up. The business we rented from were incredibly apologetic and very nice, and had been apparently calling this person for over an hour wanting to know where it was since it was due back an hour before our pick up time. There definitely wasn't any issues with them. I really liked the online check in process though, it made it nice for returning it during non-business hours. It was a little annoying that I had to keep giving out contacts until the system thought it had enough people. Not sure I understood the point of that. Other than that, everything was good,

CIERA ALocal: Make sure all reserved equipment is included and already in the vehicle. Corporate: The phone check-in process was not satisfactory. It took us 40 minutes to complete because it kept requiring access to things like a camera on our phone but would not continue with the process once we took care of those needs.

If it wasn't for the fact that they were open despite not being an essential business right now, I'd still be fighting your Effing app trying to do everything it was asking before the damn thing froze up and I had to start over again. You're a multi-million if not billion dollar company. How have you managed to cuck your service up so badly that I HAVE to rely on a proper human to do something that seemed so simple? I can't wait to fix my truck and not EVER have to deal with you people again.

steven bThe computer system was a real hassle when we arrived to pick up the vehicle. There was also a problem handling my online reservation. Then on our returning the vehicle there was a another hassle with the internet system. It took an extended period of time to complete the work. The staff was very helpful and very apologetic for all the hangups. It would be good to look into the set up for the system. Otherwise all went well with the vehicle and the use of it.
George FI have no complaints about the woman who tried to get through apparent unworkable software to check out the vehicle and check the vehicle back in. But the whole system was cumbersome and took a long time. She was so apologetic and embarrassed that she could not process my request in a timely fashion. Will not rent from Uhaul again.

Michael JThis is my go-to site when I need to rent a van! The same owner has other sizes of trucks available at the “Southwest Carry-Out” location, also in Xenia, and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND using one of these locations for your UHaul rental needs!
Dana BClerk needs to learn computer program and how to quickly check-out a customer. This is the third time renting here and it takes 30 min. to check-out even though I was the only customer. I register online as well but it never speeds up the process.

Angela WAll vehicles rented in areas and months where snow and ice are possible should have at least a basic window scraper in the vehicle. It is a safety issue. A renter could have a problem even getting to a location to retrieve or purchase a scraper. I believe this is routine for rental cars and should be for U-haul.

David BI'm not sure if it was my lack of understanding, but I was never able to engage the cruise control, even after reading the instruction manual. Also, I had to wait several minutes on the clerk who assisted me in signing out the vehicle. Then, instead of serving me, she served the customers that came in subsequent to me already waiting.

Linda CI reserved on-line to pick up at 8:00AM, which is before the location opened at 10. Your website led through an entire process that was so I could pick it up before opening. Not only did that FAIL (requiring to wait 2 more hours), the 1-800 number you have plastered on your email replied I wasn't authorized to call!! Your on-line experience is terrible. I won't use it again.

Robert PThe staff was extremely friendly and worked hard to try to fix the computer errors that seemed to come up on every person there about a uhaul. They had to make 4 phone calls to try to make it work and still ended up having to write it up by hand. You need to have webinars or at least let your outlets know when there are changes and make sure they know how to manage the changes. Very poor management on corporate level.

Carol DYour company wouldn't take my Visa because it is a pre-paid credit/debit card. The staff was unaware of this when I made the reservation to pick it up at 10:00 AM. I was there and my card didn't work. I had to call a friend had to loan me her credit card this caused me to wait until 1:00 PM to get the cargo van. The renter wanted it back by 10:00 AM the next day therefore I didn't get a 24 hour rental.There were hidden charges in environmental fees which were not disclosed to me. The transmission was confusing to use, there were distracting bright red tree air fresheners dangling from the cab mirrors, and no window wiper fluid was provided. The quick user guide didn't cover how to use any of the controls in the cab and the seat didn't move back far enough to accommodate my height.
