I am considering taking legal action. I was ripped off by this dealer. I recently got out of the Army after serving 6 years. I just lost my job and could barely afford to make this move with what savings I have left. I asked to rent a truck and told them I only needed it a few hours. The truck was in grave disrepair. The cargo box was leaking, so because it was raining, my mattress got wet. The truck sounded like the transmission was going to blow any moment without any load. I returned the truck after 6 hours of use in exactly the same condition as it was when I rented it. I was charged for damages and I believe the clerk charged me for 48 hours of use. All this on my card while I'm financially at rock bottom, moving cross country to stay over from square one. I couldn't have been fucked harder if I begged for it. I was polite to the clerk. I truly don't understand how you let these criminals get away with representing your company. I've always done business with uhaul for moving, but after this experience I may not ever again. I'll be consulting my attorney if nobody makes this right. Under normal circumstances, I would've forgotten about the whole thing, but I'm barely going to make it to my destination with the money I have left. I'll probably be homeless this winter. Please understand there couldn't have been a WORSE time in my life for this scumbag to drain my account to fix their neglected truck. I will not forget this.

The self check in and check out was horrible. The lock process needs to be updated to digital with Bluetooth and a code. The truck maintenance needs to be reviewed. Gas should always be at least at half a tank . The night check in took to long because u had to retake pictures 4 times. After logging out of the app I was able to check out. Also at night it is unsafe because people are actually in the trucks. While I was taking pictures of the truck there was a man two trucks down sitting in the back of another truck.

Tail light was out. Looked like a previous renter hit something on the right side looking at the hitch from the rear. Took pictures before renting if interested. The staff at both places were awesome and very kind and indicated she would note the issue. Unfortunately, the pickup personnel was not trained in maintenance on the trailer dolly. They were extremely pleasant and really hard workers and should be commended but they are not mechanics and I didn't expect them to recognize the damage. I did bring it to the attention of the drop off personnel who were mechanics and could see what I was referring to.

Access to more equipment and location owners/managers should have more authority and flexibility to adjust prices manually. By that, I mean the 1(800) customer service number indicated that I would be given the next size up vehicle, but only charged for the smaller size truck that I originally reserved the location agreed to honor that however, I was still charged. The higher rate and was told that someone at the 1(800) customer service number would be contacting me within 3 days to resolve my refund. I've contacted U-Haul numerous times I still have not received my refund so now I have to do a dispute with my credit card company to get your attention!

I loved it when I realized this Uhaul rental right up the street with exactly what I needed to rent. It shares a space with a laundering facility. The one person I saw working helping with the laundry customers is also helping Uhaul customers. I didn't mind but I had hoped the person doing 2 jobs at once were getting paid accordingly. It was a different person at pickup and drop off. Both did a fabulous job! Thank you!
