Jed DCommunicate CLEARLY in a separate email specific to the Hobe Sound location: 1. Where the trucks are located behind the shopping center. (I had used U-haul several years ago when there was a storefront.) 2. That you are REQUIRED to download the app. I had checked in online via the web but had to do the license pictures, etc. all over again. The web doesn’t work when picking up the truck. App is mandatory because there is no onsite employee. 3. Gas. We were so frustrated (and late) by the time we got access to the truck, we left quickly to get to our appointment we forgot to take a pic of the not full gas gauge. We drove 10 miles total and had spent $$ per mile so we assumed it covered gas. It did not and we were charged an additional $9+ for fuel. We could have easily fueled it (but it wasn’t full to begin with). 4. How to return key by lifting the lid and inserting. We thought we needed an additional code. It was pouring rain at that point so standing in the rain wasn’t an easy option to figure it out. Worked out that I just put it back in the original slot and called the office. Otherwise, your office is GREAT at answering the phone calls and communicating that way. I will rent from you again now that I know the “system”.
karen hThere was not communication, no one answered the phone and no one present when I picked up the trailer. The drop off location was miles away when there were 2 locations with in 2 miles. When I dropped off the trailer, there was no one who spoke English or give me a receipt that I did return the trailer. I will never use U-Haul again!
