I never really felt unsafe and I am positive that my belongings were always secure but weary to go in the evening .I would have liked the faciluty to be fenced. When Uhaul took over the front gate was left open. I don't think it made a difference in the facility security in all reality, as people could access tge facility from tge side, but I feel there was an increased chance of running into people who didn't belong there.
