There is no office at the "U-Haul Moving & Storage At Charleston Blvd " location. Instead there is an empty office building with a paper posted on the window just outside of the storage facility stating there is no office and to call the 2030 E Fremont St. location for assistance. The paper notice was not very obvious and was far from looking official or professional. It turns out you have to drive to that East Freemont location for any kind of assistance related to the 5011 E Charleston location. Once I was waiting in line at the Freemont location service counter, the U-Haul employee at the counter, John, was sitting down having a conversation with an older woman that was not related to a transaction or U-Haul assistance in progress and after 5 minutes of patiently waiting, the woman notices me and says "oh, I didn't realize there was someone waiting" and John the U-Haul employee says to her "Nah, you're good" and continues having the conversation for another 5 minutes all while I'm standing right there in his line of sight. That was very disrespectful. After the woman leaves, John begins to assist me, but 3 times in the middle of "helping" me he takes long phone calls from other people calling into the store and fully assists them from beginning to end, never once asking them to please hold as he's assisting a customer, all while I am waiting for him the whole time. What John did repeatedly is the same as me bring first in line with 3 other customers behind me and assisting them from start to finish before he is ever done helping me. Terrible customer service from John, terrible that you have to drive from an unmanned location to be given terrible and terribly long customer service. I was never rude or disrespectful to John, so I don't know why he acted that way. This delay contributed to me turning in my trailer rental late to the Nellis U-Haul storage facility that was due that same day who's staff was also not understanding about what just happened and made me pay and additional amount for turning it in on Sunday 7/13 even though I turned in the trailer rental the same day it was due. So many things wrong with the U-Haul customer service that I can't recommend U-Haul's customer service or facilities as people should proceed at their own risk of being treated poorly. Please train the staff to have better customer service, how to take phone calls, to tend to customers in proper order, and please have an employee at the 5011 E Charleston Blvd location to prevent disrespectful interactions from other U-Haul employees who cannot manage multiple storage locations from one office well, and to avoid wasting time driving to different locations only receive very bad customer service.
