Latch was hard to lock. Poor lighting in front of the units and lighting inside did not work. Anti close mechanism on the hat was broken and people always blocked the full width between the units so you couldn’t get in or pass them.

BRIAN H | Overall ExperienceYour staff cost me more than $300 dollars extra during my move and way more time. I could not get into my unit. Turns out, they changed the lock on my unit. I was not informed. At least, I never saw any text, call, email and I never spoke with anyone. I lost the movers I hired through U-Haul because they had to be done by 1. I spent 1 hour and 40 minutes trying to get in. I had to pay other movers additional money to help me. The move took 2 more hours and more than $300 lost I should not have had to spend. U-Haul and the people who work there are truly terrible. Unbelievably bad. As far as I am concerned you OWE me for those losses.

Tim S | Overall ExperienceThere is a difference in speaking with people who work during the day vs at night. The manager who is a male is really friendly and goes above and beyond for customer service. The people who work at night are rude, and need more coaching about policies and procedures.

EFREN L | First ImpressionsWe were assigned to a storage unit that had someone else’s belongings in it and was apparently abandoned. How could this happen when no one checked the unit, verified that it was clean and ready for someone new to move in, changed the lock, etc. After 6 days of waiting - with our 26’ U-Haul truck loaded, we received a call from White Bear Ave. location recommending that we go to Keller location instead.

For the truck rental, we weren’t told to expect contact that would allow us to add truck photos, and that the link would expire shortly, so we weren’t told unable to complete this.
Nora B | First ImpressionsWas not notified when the facility stopped using gate entrance codes and inplemented key cards instead. Key cards were not made available at the site of the storage units. Once the discovery was made that the codes no longer worked - for which news I had to call them, there was no signage at the site indicating the change, I had to go to another site to get a key card. Unaccaptable.

DAVID G | Overall ExperienceThere were no unit numbers on the outside so we kept driving around the building and then sat on hold with customer service for 30mins. Then got disconnected. Then had to drive over to the drop off facility to get a map only to find out my unit was on the inside.

I unfortunately I didn’t choose Uhaul I came over with the Able storage folks. I tried to work with the staff but decided to go where I chose to spend my money. I have used U in the past but this time the experience was not the same.
